As a general rule, if a trader can't consistently be profitable on the higher time frame charts ie 4hr, Daily, then it is highly unlikely that the same trader would be successful on the lower time frame charts ie 5m, 15m. The decision process is quicker with stricter discipline required, and news also has a greater influence on price action. In my opinion, master the higher time frame trading first and then slowly wind down to the lower time frames. if you must trade the lower time frame charts, then I would suggest you use separate accounts for each form of trading.
