SPLA SONG OF KATIBA SHARK AND GHOL IN MUOR MUOR DIVISION

The lead singer who was singing was Peter Chan Manteng. Peter Chan Manteng was also called (JUET MANTENG). He was originally from Dinka Ruweng Community of Biemnom in Pa-Wujiek sub-clan of MAJUAN section in Ruweng State. Peter Chan (JUET MANTENG) passed away on 11/06/2017 in group 31 in Kakuma refugee camp. He joined the SPLA in 1983 and went to Bongo in Ethiopia for military training. After he finished training, he was stationed in Ghol battalion of Muor Muor division. The Late Peter Chan Manteng, who was a veteran in the SPLA, fought in so many various places in South Sudan. He fought in Ayod, Waat, Mayom, Nuba Mountain, Nimule, Kapeota, Torit, Ngalngala, Maridi, Nasir, Abaath in Panaruu and Owiny kibul where he was wounded on his right leg by antonov in 1992 and get amputated in Lokichiokio, Kenya.
Before he passed away, the Late Peter Chan Manteng was the head of all the Dinka Ruweng Community of Biemnom (Abiemnom) in Kakuma refugee camp.
