- Welcome to our vacation vlog to the Valentin Imperial Maya Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico! We love this resort, and have been several times! On this trip, you will get to see the changes this resort has made due to the pandemic, as we went in late November 2020.

I have stayed at this resort 3 years in a row and love it more each trip. Yes, the rooms are clean and well appointed. Yes, the food is amazing. Yes, the value and quality of the entire trip is wonderful. But, it’s actually the staff who make this resort different. Friendly, professional, almost like a second family. There’s something unique about this paradise. My husband says we’re gonna return every year as long as we can. Note: we usually stay in March. Very little rain, if any. Warm but not as humid as June. Not as windy either. And the “resort smell” is actually a scent by Doctor Aromas called “Hope”. I use it throughout my entire home to remind me of my most favorite place to vacation. ❤

My daughter and I are leaving next Sunday for VIM to celebrate her graduation and we are so excited! Since I’m leaving my younger littles home with the hubby, my 6yo daughter has been begging to watch your Mexico Vlogs and she is even excited for us. It’s so sweet. You guys are super great at this. Keep it up!
The Valentine’s soups are so underrated. We definitely indulged in the soups this last trip. We’re so grateful to get to enjoy this wonderful place and just like yourselves, my husband and myself Honeymooned here in 2013 and have been back every year since, sometimes twice a year. Next May will be trip 10 for us and October will be 11. Each time we go, we remember why we fell in love with this place and with each other. Hope to see you and Holt there one day, Ashley. We were supposed to meet you in May when we were going to be there together, but of course COVID. Great video guys!! I’m happy that we can share this favorite.

I must say, this is the best Vblog re The Valentin Resort. It brought my wife and I, so many memories when we went to the Valentin in 2016 for our 10 year Wedding Anniversary. Jesus Mary Joseph bless you and your husband with many more trips. Thank you!
This is our favorite resort in Mexico! We’ve been there 4 times and coming back in January for our 5th wedding anniversary. So far the best weather we experienced was in September, the sea was so calm and clean, we had a blast. Thanks for your video, it reminded us all the happy times we’ve had there.

We have been to many resorts in Mexico and rarely return after trying one out, but...We LOVE the Valentin and have been there a few times and did have a Golden swim up. It was awesome!

We stayed in a junior suite (building 4) and I felt like we had a great location. We were closer to the pool/beach/restaurants than the golden suites you stayed in. P.S. we were privilege members so they kept our room stocked with tequila cream :)

Next time I would skip Amstar and book a private transfer ( USA Transfer or Canada Transfer) It's such a waste of time to go meet with your rep ( who's usually just trying to sell you tours) just to find out your return pick up time! But if you do want to stick with Amstar - I'd just wait until the last full day, they will call you with your time. Great videos! I can't wait to go back to The Valentin!

My wife and I took our honeymoon at the valentine in 2013 as well! August of 2013 for us. Fantastic place, we loved it so much. Haven't been back since but we really need to.

We are going to the Valentin next month! Thanks for the video it really gives us an idea of what to look for - especially how the resort is running due to the pandemic. We’ll share our favorites when we get back!
Bring back so much good memories from one of the best trip I did and it was at the Valentine Imperial Maya. Thinking of returning this year (oct. 2022) after a few (pandemic) years without travelling. Hope we will not have to much seeds...
My then girlfriend and I vacationed at the Valentine Imperial back in '13 (May??) and had a great time! The trip wasn't without its perils though; we got super drunk and ran down to the beach at night and right to the water's edge totally ignoring the caution sign about SHARP rocks underfoot :-O The next morning we visited the gift shop for Band-Aids! After that, dancing and beach volleyball were quite painful. Can't wait to go again someday.

I can 100% agree with most of your thoughts! That 1921 though...it's so awesome and yes, especially in the coffee! I'm surprised y'all didn't try the Chilean sea bass at the French restaurant. It's the bombdiggity, but I know you'll be back so definitely try it ! I've been to several resorts and you are so right, Valentin is my favorite!! I was curious, especially since y'all have been several times Pre-covid if you felt as though you were missing anything? Did it somehow lesson the experience for you? It seemed like y'all still had a blast but I just wanted to ask..and I've never seen you guys try the mini beers or food at the Golden pool snack bar. The shrimp burger and shrimp ceviche there is just awesome! Also, you're right...I love the palomas too...soooo refreshing! I really enjoy all your Valentin videos. You definitely are great at what you include, narrate and edit!! It's a talent for sure. Thanks so much for sharing! Look so forward to your feedback. 🙂
We love the mini beers! Delicious! I've never tried food from the golden swim ups, we will definitely do that next time! We didn't feel like we missed out anything from this trip, except for the foam party. Everything else was great!

2nd try for a honey moon for us, st Lucia in 2010, rained the whole time. heading to VIM in three weeks for a friends wedding and a second try at a honeymoon and leaving the kiddos at home.

I was so excited to see that you guys went to Valentin again recently! My husband and I have a trip planned for January and we have watched all of your videos on the Valentin. This will be our belated honeymoon and we are so excited to be finally going soon! I am wondering if you can tell me if they allow people to provide their own cups for drinks? I was planning on bringing two insulated tumblers for us to use at the pool and beach but I will leave them at home if this is something they don't allow.
Yes! You can bring your own cups! I’ve seen people bring their yetis and the bartenders will fill them up for you!

Does VIM have games/activities if it rains? e.g. ping pong, pool table, board games, etc. I'm planning our honeymoon in September and we're comparing Excellence vs VIM, and we love games!

We’ve stayed in the deluxe suites several times, they are located centrally in buildings 3,4 & 5 and are the closest buildings to the main pools. If you are looking for quite I would do a junior club suite in building 1 & 2, or an ocean view emerald.

I went here about a year and a half ago. I am trying to find another place with live music at night. The live music made this the best resort I have ever been to, and I have been to several. Does anyone know of another place with live band?
Hi is this resort all inclusive? Including drinks ?
Hi there! Yes! All inclusive, so hotel stay, entertainment, food and drinks are all included!
Only "extras" that you would pay for are your ground transfers to the resort once you deboard in Cancun, massage services, cigars/hookah bar lounge, and certain wines and lobster at restaurants.
So after watching these vlogs, we are sold! Booking our honeymoon for July! What are your top recommendations? :)

Just show up! No reservations required!

Just booked!! Dis you use the free transfer from airport to hotel? I did not see any instructions in my booking email so was curious how that works.
We have to pay for our transfers...we usually book a private vehicle and it's around $75 roundtrip!

We bring money to tip! In my experience, the majority of guests do bring tip money! I know it is technically included in your all inclusive price, but we like to be generous to the workers who bust their butts in the sun!
I agree. We brought a bunch of ones (for drinks) and some fives and tens for meals.
The resort looks amazing! How do you usually book your trip? Directly through their website or do you use a third-party like Expedia?
We book through a travel agent! It’s easier for us and no extra cost. There are lots of travel agents that are very informative of the valentin resort within the Facebook group! It’s called Fans of the Valentin Imperial Maya

Yes there is WiFi! It’s pretty good too! There is also WiFi at the pools and restaurants too!
Question for you guys and anyone else who has been! When the waves are crazy, and there is a red flag up, are you still aloud to swim?

Hi there! The past 3 times we've gone the beach has been perfect and great for swimming. This trip in Nov 2020 was about 3 weeks after a big hurricane that washed away all of the soft sand bottom. It should be back to normal by now but I'm not for sure on that! :)

Thank you for the video. The dress code says on open toe shoes. Does that mean I can't wear a sandal with a heel. Also in one of your videos you mentioned that another guest gave you something for the pool and everyone wants one, but I could not understand what they gave you. You said it was a coveted..... Help
the dress code is mostly for the men! Women can wear whatever besides wet swimsuits and casual clothes at night!

I love October! Not too hot at night but still warm enough during the day that it’s not chilly in the pool!
