Dark mode and 3D/hyper realistic have been getting a lot of traction in my neck of the woods! Always love your content! So well articulated!!!
I’m so glad you’re liking the content!
These trends are both accurate and inspiring even for my work as an Architect. Everyone benefits from great design
That’s so cool - I love seeing design trends translate across different fields.
trying to become a designer in 2025 is hard, specially its so saturated in the job sector. but still learning with a strategy, having a roadmap, resources I think its possible
I really enjoy the animated aurora grainy gradient backgrounds on websites. They really do make the website feel chill and relaxing.
I agree! That style feels so calming.
Just discovered your channel, in the middle of a creative block (that has been around for more than 3 months... ) this is the type of content i need🎉
Hang in there friend. Those blocks can really mess with one’s mindset.
Finally, a creative who truly understands how to use AI! The rest sums it all up-nothing more to add. Great job!
Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks so much for your video ! and very interesting to say about accessibility in Design.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Very nice review! 👏🏽 I’m a big fan of customize typography!
This is really high quality and well instructed!
Thank you so much!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for the kind words!
many thanks to share with creatives like me all of this stuff, is very useful and pleasure to see many kinds of trending graphic appliances for my future works!
You are so welcome, I’m so glad you found it helpful!
great, list, examples, breakdowns and curious what monitor is in the back. that stand is so nice!!
Thanks! I have the iMac on the left, my laptop stand (just a black Amazon basics one) in the middle, and I’ll have to check the other monitor, might be ACER…
@@CreativeDirectorExplains yes that right one is the one that peaked my interest, is so unique. have never seen it.
Great content!! love the idea of dark mode, thanks for taking the time!! best!
Thank you so much, I’m so glad you liked it!
It's funny seeing Neumorphism coming back around. I was messing around with neumorphic styles in UI elements on really, really early websites I was experimenting with (1994-1996-ish...yay Geocities LOL).
Right? That’s actually so cool that you played with it early on - love that!
@@CreativeDirectorExplains It was a lot more freeing and fun in the early days because there were no rules, really. We were just making it up as we went along and REALY pushing the boundaries. Yeah, there were a lot of train wrecks, design-wise...but there was a LOT of really groundbreaking stuff we did that carried through.
Dark mode never goes out of fashion
Facts! Well said
I think designers need to concentrate on the last item way more than anything else. Accessibility. As someone who has worked on books for senior citizens in the past, I’ve noticed design elements becoming worse over the years for seniors. Some of these other trends are at odds with designing for seniors: neumorphism and dark mode. Both are difficult for seniors to read text and elements on. I’ve also noticed designs using small type, or type that is light gray on white. Fortunately, there are tools for web design that help you identify issues like this, but for printed materials there aren’t - other than having an art director that is conscious about them.
👏👏👏
You hit the nail on the head - I'm an older designer, who still loves to hold a magazine in his hands - it's tough to read white text on a pastel color! I love using 'light' fonts - guess what, they don't print too well, especially when the color is 70% blk on anything! Just m5cs!
Your English make me very creative ❤
Thank you for all this informations!
My pleasure! Glad you found it helpful!
Great video ❤
Glad you liked it!!
Utilitarian Design is a new trend. I think it's a pretty cool style for this new year.
Love this!
"Anaglyphs" is synonymous with 3D glasses from the mid 20th century, but the trend we're seeing today is more akin to "chromatic aberration."
Great call! I was struggling to describe the trend but this is perfect, thank you!
The 3D effects are so cool on type.
Good info here, great video. Thanks!
Great content ! Thanks !!
My pleasure!
Fun run down, thanks and stay curious
Thank you!
Your final point about the collective responsibility to create accessibility across all things will be a challenge / opportunity for several of the trends you suggest will be front foot in 2025. Dark mode as an example is a challenge as its entire theme is “evolving/rising/blending out of darkness (50% plus grayscale to black?), creating contrast there seems so elusive. Anaglyphs when not done well, can trigger nausea and other irritation issues in some people when the effect moves too fast (feels more like a speed ramp). My larger point is that accessibility is indeed an opportunity for creatives to think about the unspoken part of accessibility which is to not be a turn off to the few while appealing to the wider bandwidth of your audience. I suppose it’s always the trade off in design. Let’s aim to be thoughtful about our exciting brilliant ideas in 2025.
This is such a great observation. It’s definitely something we all need to consider throughout as we design, even within these trends. Glad you posted this 👏👏👏
goddamit, i like them all
Best design is always the one not falling into any trends. Historically proven. If you fall for a trend design becomes meaningless.
Exactly my thought. The video actually gives good guidance on what not to do, and avoid becoming just another Behance designer.
I remember Apple tried pushing Neumorphism in macOS Big Sur. Initially, I liked the previous icons better, but then the new ones grew on me. Unfortunately, it never took off the way minimalist icons did.
It definitely has a unique appeal, but you’re so right
Not to nitpick... most of what you call "Anaglyphs" are actually "Chromatic Aberration", an effect that happens from an imperfect lens in film-making
Great call! Thank you - I was struggling to find the term.
I am a designer who has been in the industry for 20 years and I still do not know the source of such content. How do you know what will trend? From where? Who tell this styles will be trands? Who selected this? Really I wonder..
I dont know why most of the graphic design trends videos are talking about the trends that are happening in "just one element" of design. I believe that if we are talking about graphic design trends, that needs to be more holistic which includes type-arrangements, layout narratives, use of shapes etc. No one wants to know about aurora, gradients etc-- these are trends in elemental visuals perhaps but nowhere close to covering graphic design! We should talk about why people are using mono-typefaces, why are they breaking symmetry etc while pairing with these visuals. Or else we will keep building a generation who creates a bento grid with comic sans!
Im looking for videos trends like you described, any good TH-cam channel I should follow?
I think this is the perfect area for you to explore as a creator, I’m excited to see what videos you create in this realm.
@@CreativeDirectorExplains Yes, I will. Thank you.
@ Not yet. I am still searching. Thus I made this comment. But as @creativedirectorexplains suggested (though sarcastically), I might give it a try :)
nummer 4
Amazing content. but please post content more often
That’s so kind! Haha I’ll try
Yeah your thoughts on ai is right, But in all of these trends *NEUMORPHISM* is really attracts me a lot, surely will try to implement.
Nice content
omg i remember those 3D heart shaped names as a kid on microsoft
What's the tools can be used to turn logo vector into 3d glass? any one can help!
You should check out the PanterVision channel. It’s got a lot of great tutorials
There are apps out there like Art Text by BeLight Software.
Hi super great presentation.
Is there any free custom font creater online which you can recommend here....
Thank you! I’ve loved playing around in illustrator, but I’m curious if other viewers have other programs they use.
Hey @CreativeDirectorExplains!
I love your channel! This video was very helpful. Thanks for that :)
Could you please tell me if there are any AIs for drawing character branding (Like you have in the video, i.e. very simple line). I need to make such a brand hero. I can't draw and I don't want to outsource it to a graphic designer. Plzzzz help me
Cute 🥳
are there real companies in the market other than nike, adidas, and apple that have the budget for these kind of campaigns, branding, logo and ux design?
in other words, I’m having a hard time finding clients that have budgets for work on that scale, is anyone else having the same issue?
I am really passionate about learning graphic design, but I don’t have a computer or the necessary tools to practice. If anyone can help or guide me in any way, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you!
Anyone else feel like the interchangeable 2024 / 2025 / 2026 references were a glitch in the AI?
The simulation is hitting puberty, y'all
I like this video but I don't understand the language. I couldn't get the best out of it, please give me the subtitles. Thank you.
Edited: Please turn on your TH-cam caption and it will translate it in English for you. This is a good video to watch.
I dont understand why a creative would want to follow what so many others are doing? How many more copy and paste creatives do we need?
So true - but I think it can be helpful to find inspiration like this and then make it your own. Creative block is the worst!
Everything’s already been done. And the things that look the coolest take a very long time to do. That’s why Disney doesn’t make hand drawn cel-animated films anymore, unfortunately. The only graphic designer I know of in the past 30 years that hasn’t been a “copy and paste creative” is Dave McKean (who worked on the Sandman comic book covers back in the 90s if you don’t know who he is, but also does photography, painting, lettering, etc). You might think that you are not following what someone else has done, but do a little research and you’ll find that someone else already did it (whatever “it” is). And AI is the crux of that. AI is ONLY taking what’s already been done and using that to make other things. No thought whatsoever is going into what AI art produces.
I don't know if anaglyph would be a correct word.. Is more like Chromatic aberration. Anagliphs is different kind of effect, not the ones in the video...
Great shout! Thank you, I was struggling to find the right descriptor - this is perf
Stop thinking in terms of styles; It won't get you far.
Hi! I love your content, but please make videos in 4k ;( hahaahaha
Haha! I’ll look into it!
7:50 you're a sucker if you willingly train your immortal low-cost replacement.
Generative AI is far too ecologically destructive to be of any use to anyone but a Smoggies cosplayer.
Lol your job isn’t going to be replaced by a.i it’s going to be replaced by the designer who knows how to use a.i effectively
Well said!
commenting to see if there are anyone in the comment section that can do these types of work displayed in the video here? if so I'd like to commission
Nice vid but we are in 2024
ai is not ethical
Why
I don't like you.
Bahahaha
@CreativeDirectorExplains Exactly. Period.
Great content, but the 'vocal fry' is truly obnoxious here. It is not an affliction, so would you please consider losing the crackling voice? Try making the same video without sounding exhausted, disinterested and blasé at the end of every sentence... Such an improvement!
Home girl trying to do her job 😂
@@ItsWesSmithYo She's knowledgeable and she has a great voice. The moment she outgrows the Vocal Fry, she will wish she had never adopted it in the first place. Is my guess :-)
@itsweasmithyo thanks for the love 😅
Ouch 😅
@@CreativeDirectorExplains Love from me too though! Great content, great voice. Sorry for overstating the vocal fry thing 'a bit', but still... 🙃
I am a student and still learning and I want to share my journey. and I have only one follower. but its ok someday i will be like u too
Don't give up. I don't believe in failure, I only see my Goals
and this is my first design :)
