You brought back Fantastic memory's of our local shop in Shefford when game was hanging outside, it was normal to see back then. fantastic show once more, thanks for the memory.. Jim.
Thanks for this video, Charlie. I really enjoyed the St. Hubertus Cup report. It looked a lovely bit of ground and just a shame the weather couldn't have been a bit kinder for the dogs. The more items on gundogs (of all sorts) there are the happier I am!
Hello charlie and the team, great video and footage, reminds me of when i was younger and i use to hunt with slingshot for pigeons, starlings for a feed and i was spending time in the riverbeds to find round shape and right weight stones to shoot the birds and may i say i was good at it too,, hahah. Thanks to the team for a great video and greetings to all from NZ,, Tony.
@Fieldsports Channel Charlie do me a favour and write to Wild Justice and ask them if they plan to prosecute Mr Packham for his publicly admitted historic offences? Id love to hear their response.😉
I haven’t had a catapult since I was a kid. I think I’ll keep my Daystate Wolverine R. You cannot guarantee a clean shot with a catapult. You can with an accurate rifle. Not sure it is responsible for the channel to promote hunting with catapults. Like I said I was a kid when I had mine. Like all kids, I was totally irresponsible at that age. 🤪😂
@@beecee985 I would never take a shot, unless I was confident of a clean shot. Having said that, of course, it is still possible to wound an animal. You need to be ready to follow up. However, with a catapult, it seems like pure luck, whether you hit it the first time, let alone getting a clean follow up. So yes, I have been hunting. I wouldn’t recommend a catapult for Live quarry. That is why hunters use a combination of an accurate, rifle and scope, these days. 🙂👍
As someone who always tries to ensure a humane kill in the shooting, ferreting and fishing I do - I think encouraging people go out taking potshots with catapults is just stupid and bad publicity for all fieldsports. Its like going back in time and will recruit more antis who will say how many woundings will people cause??
So nice to see Wayne on a mooch! Thank you!
Thanks for the mention guys. Much appreciated. 🙂

I’m old enough to remember all butcher’s were like that and no plastic in sight critters already come wrapped.
Perhaps an unpopular view but if you're missing that much with a catapult you're also going to injure quite a lot too... 😞
Hence the heavier ammo.

Guarantee a clean shot whatever that means, if you mean you always get an instant kill with your first shot I'd say you've never been hunting

I feel inadequate I use 8mm steel! (successfully), Admittedly I tend to be closer than the shots you take.
