Why do I feel like this event will be full of english and dutch speaking people and I will be the only who traveled from France just to meet the lovely people working at K&T and the amazing Ben Petersen ? It's going to be a fun day for sure
Europe vs. US knife carry. I think in Europe we think less self-defense/-survival when carrying a knife. So, I suspect Europe carries lighter and smaller knives. That said, many parts of Europe also have legal restrictions.
@@Doug-do7ge No idea what you mean by "current situation"? The current rise of fascism? Yeah, that is scary, but not a problem that is solved with a knife. Reality is, that most Europeans don't think about self-defense and if they are, they are thinking about pepper spray (Knives make terrible self-defense weapons and need a lot of training). And why would we, look at the murder rate, at the more general crime rate or the general safety index. In all categories even the poorest European country scores better than the US.
Please, if you check out any Roman recipe you know that the kitchen loves to mix sweet and savory. In addition to that thick dough-sweet pizza (with rose-water. And was popular at the papal court in the 16th century) is a very old tradition in Italy. To be honest, I feel complainig about pineapple on pizza as not Italian is like mocking Americans for using the word soccer.
Such a good time, and I'm so looking forward to visiting next month. Thanks for having me on, Stef!

I would imagine Europeans should think about self defense given the current situation.
