I've been an HIV Prevention Specialist for the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health for over 15 years, and THAT has got to be one of the best, most fascinating illustrations of the HIV replication process. ASTONISHINGLY complicated, but still fascinating. Thanks for posting this.
ONE OF THE BEST EXPLANATIONS ON EVERYTHING ON TH-cam!!! THAT WAS REMARKABLE. HOW IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE THAT YOU DESCRIBED SO PERFECTLY THE WHOLE PROCESS.
Some extra info: The envelope proteins are formed by the cleavage of a larger protein called gp160 The capsid protein is called gp24 and the matrix of the virus is called p17 Great video btw!
Cool! I'm a visual learner, and my teacher recommended this animation. According to other comments, the spoken facts may not be entirely correct, but the visual aid is priceless.
I am too high for this. Who knew it was this detailed. Humans can really be amazing. 22 years this has been going on in my body. Dang this is a good edible.
Very informative. I have a family member who is an AIDS patient. I certainly hope that they come up with a cure soon. It would seem with the new protien folding stuff they've been doing, that they're getting close. I just hope they're in time.
This has been really informative. I wish it would go further, like explain the potential side effects of each therapy, difficulties in universal treatment and total elimination of the virus, and why sometimes mixes of them are made.
This video posted 16yrs ago still has a lot of information that is helpful in my class today. I was wondering how much effort you could have put into making this video in 2007. Thank you:))
So, I am assuming the two viral RNA strands at the end are created from the original RNA strand? Can reverse transcriptase do that? Also, since every new cell gets its own share of the 3 crucial enzymes, does it get new enzymes from the new proteins that are created?
This is amazing! My Virology Prof showed my class this to help us better understand HIV replication and we were stunned and the deatils you put into this! Only one concern: we were taught that reverse transcriptase is what actually works as the intergrase instead of one coming in with the virus.
What does a retro viral therapy do? It kills the replicated virus inside and outside the cell, but cannot remove the source generating the replicated virus which is the modified human DNA
I agree with you that this video is educational with conveying to us the mechanisms and treatments against HIV. Some people are just ignorant of the facts. But then again to those non-biology students, they may have difficulty understanding the complex facts and mechanisms involved as this video are not made to be 'layman'
This video is very useful! I'm studying HIV replication and enzyme inhibitors, so this video is perfect to better understand and revise this argument. Thank you so much 😊
This is a fantastic and informative video on HIV. I am currently doing A levels in Biology and find the disease aspect of the course interesting. Thanks for posting this video!!
Did you ask them what it says or did you ask them if he is saying "jubriate?" I heard to create immediately, however the pronunciation is slightly slurred.
The replication enzymes will be coded for by the reverse transcribed integrated viral RNA, which is integrated into the host cell's genome. It is then synthesized like any other protein.
This feels like an apocalyptic movie and I wish more lecturers taught like this
NO LITERALLY!!! I’ve been watching this since elementary school and I absolutely love it because of that
It was posted 16yrs ago 😮😮
Having it feels apocalyptic 😒 thanks CIA
1:40 I need this vidéo in.french please
Man, I wish all lectures were explained visually and lucidly like this.
Say no more

Fabulous! Its equivalent to reading 10k words text. Thanks

Not really, they didnt even talk about capsomere proteins

First Aid?
how does 160 cleaves to 161 { 120+41] ?
The gene that forms the gp160 is the env gene. And R. I. P. Is formed via the Pol gene
@@ash-joanhabib3014 I know it doesn't make sense. You would think it would be gp161, but it's not. It's gp 160

the music is amazing in this. makes everything so epic
I’m amazed by the level of detail uncovered medical science on this topic.
WOW. this video totally helps me in understanding HIV replication and it's life cycle. Thanks a LOT!
best video on HIV i've watched so far. thank you.
This is pure excellence! I work in HIV and this is the best explained video I’ve seen so far.
i dont'T believe you .. even indians are way to big to work IN a virus.
The sound effects in this thing get me. Listen to this with good headphones on, it is one hell of an experience.
Its stuff like this that motivate me to remain abstinent.
OMG i'll save this video for reminds me this
And keep IT in your pants🤷🏾♂️
AMEN!!! (Or to, at least, wear a condom).

Yeah
except it's not micro.. but even smaller!

Sending lots of loveee to you 💌 love your content, animation, everything ❤️❤️❤️
This vid is on my recommendation after 13 years, yes, it is 2020 😂🙄

this is the best video ever in helping me study about HIV. Thank you so much
thats one the best explanatory vids i've ever seen! awesome thanks!

Quick heal best
Lol
Lol
!Wow! As a 7th grader this video was very helpful.. with some explanation on the side. This video is exactly as you described. Thanks!
The replication of HIV is multistage process. Each step is crucial to successful replication....
Great video!

I learned this in more detail in molecular. Terrifying virus!
Great video, good job!can you make another video animation about Paramixoviridae Or orthomixoviridae?
Biology teacher showed this video to class today. It’s a great video.
the most smart virus ever
A smart virus does not kill it's host.
If you want to see a smart virus, check Herpes viruses. Truly fascinating.
@@evangel18 many herpes viruses causes cancer which kills the host. Then again other herpes viruses are oncolytic viruses. So it's kinda hard to tell
@@evangel18 but to replicate the virus has to consume all the amino acids in a cell.
Does the same thing as the coronavirus 🤷🏾♂️
