Salute to Sean for being so open about his past history and learning from it. I personally don’t take offense to people who are racist because I know they weren’t born racist but brought up in an environment that fostered that mindset. To see him come from that and break out is truly remarkable, not everybody has the mental fortitude to do that.

I really hope he leaves it all out there. Win or lose this could make him my favorite ufc fighter apart from Mike bisping. man, in a world of standardized, sterilized, and planned-out entertainment, sean is a breath of fresh air. i like watching the sport of fighting but rarely do i actually get invested in or feel like i can relate to a fighter. sean is that guy. that open workout with him sparring the fan says it all.

Pretty good interview. Sean is actually very likable. It's the shock factor of what he says that puts people off but it comes from a place of realness. He speaks facts. Not everyone's cup of tea but I prefer it over Izzys insecure energy. Izzy always seems so bitter.

DC always gets great interviews from these fighters, he manages to get them to turn down the volume on the personàs. Did great with Colby, Suga, Strickland, etc. Bisping is also good at the it, where fighters relax & we get the 'real', esp. when he works for TNT.
I like Jared a lot and watch all his fights and he looked great last fight as he normally does. But I do think Shawn won that fight. Jared just didn’t put out any pressure and tried to counter the whole fight and didn’t work out well. Was very surprised when they said Jared won that one for sure.

Sean won me over with this interview. I’ve found him just too loud and obnoxious before but now I get who he is on the inside and why he acts the way he does-I respect his process and his philosophy towards life.
He’s usually at his loudest in the spotlight, at press conferences or in the ring, but in more low-key one-on-one interviews like this or videos like his training with Pereira he comes across a lot more reasonable, relaxed, and measured with his words. I think the real him is a mix of the two, and it’s been really cool to see his more emotionally aware side lately too
