at around 5:00 when you explained their counter mechanics, I am not sure if I understood it correctly. Are Paladins using (depleting) their block value, when counter attacking? If so, means more block = more damage? or did you just mean, you push your whole unit in spread the damage through the block of models, counter attack and get out before block breaking? Does the counter have an internal cool down?
Lets go over each question then. 1) They need to block an attack to counter attack, so blocking (which coincides with a reduction in block) results in a counter attack. No block, no counter. 2) Each counter hits at most 4 units per hit, so after blocking once they reach peak damage regardless of their blocked amount. 3) Increasing counter damage means making the enemy hit more paladins with their single attack, which triggers more paladins to counter attack, increasing the units total damage output. (This assumes the enemy has limited amount of hits they can do to you, so being hit more makes you do more back) 4) And yes, they have a cool down. Not sure how much, but it's roughly the same as their auto attack ~1s to 2s An example is, each iron reaper can hit 5 targets. If a unit of IR hits 1 paladin, that one paladin can hit 4 iron reapers in return. If an iron reaper hits 5 units, the 5 paladins would counter with 20 hits total back. So stacking up makes the counter attacks more lethal, or put simply, more units can attack back at the same time.
It's alright, but not competitive. Since you want to do 10% more damage instead of taking more damage, the former keeps you alive in every battle, the latter might save you sometimes
Yeah x-v wasn't working...Fingers cant dance across to keyboard to hit F1/2/3 .. so tapping X is the way :) . Finding with a charge damage doc can take down Phalanx unit :)
@@AlanApogee Yeah, the only cav I've seen take them out reliably (in purple tier lock) is Sipahis. Companion cav can take them out IF they kill the hero running them, and even then you're likely to lose 1/2 - 2/3 of the unit (unless they have room to charge completely through and past the paladins).
Awesome video, thank you!
Loving it Alan, hope you are back. I might return also for Sparta season, hope to see you there :)
I see that you can make use of their blocks more by formation spam to swap the frontlines. Good to know. Great video man.
Sick unit attire
u should do more of this, it is really good
Glad you're back!
hey there i'm glad that you are back 😄

Welcome back!
Amazing video. Can you do more units videos?
This shit is a jumpscare man you just appear out of nowhere again lmao
yes the ending cover all the content update us I needs it XD
welcome back.
what do you think about the blue block doc? of course with dmg + block doc together. or would it be unnecessary because of the quick block recovery

Welcome back 👌🏻👌🏻
how do you build longsword nowadays attribute wise, full health or armor ? TY
Still full armor, Paladins and IR have low AP so it still works. Not against Phalanxes though, they kill regardless of your hp/armor distribution.
Now i wait till they update tsergs and im back to the game
Op paladin

I'll give you a hint, you can edit the buttons to your mouse side buttons. That really helps easing your left hand's work
What mastery buff about them any other info pls
The mastery is the buff, or are you asking for the mastery details?
@@AlanApogee yep other like do more dmg to spear or something.
Question
Paladins or healing archers
Healing archers are useless
@@bizon4129 i know but im asking this guy to have his opininon
@@HiroeTV He will say the same, healing archers are kinda meh in anything then blue lock at the start of the season
ALAN FANBOIS ASSEMBLEEE!
(Also zoom out your camera. I get seasick) 😢
Why are you playing zoomed in?
A force of habit really, been using this angle for years (And I don't play cav ever, so never really needed to zoom out)
What counters them? Quite frankly, I'm sick of fighting nothing but stacks of paladins.
Men at arms are decent if you're using a hero with great CC like nodachi. Otherwise, it's gonna be Wuwei, cav, or numbers
