Jbarge some how at some point we get a hang up. But If you use the Santee rig when you're drift fishing you are less likely to get hung up. It is designed to keep your bait off the bottom. If you haven't seen how to use this technique we have a video segment on the Santee Cooper rig. Some lakes are worse than others. Thanks for watching our video
Catfish Creek is just after Parksville and above Modoc Boat ramp. It is on hwy 221S. from McCormick S.C. on state road 33-89. I think it called Parksville Wayside Park. If you need any more help let us know Thanks for your comment and support
I go down to the lake every week it's an awesome lake but it's pretty hard to find a boat landing the only reason I'm able to is because I'm in a private area connected to the lake about a mile away from the damn
+Paul Brittain well Paul in the past we have used white perch and bream either live or cut bait the flatheads like the bait live better or Shad if you can get them if they're available that's what they seem to like best I don't use nightcrawlers and chicken livers and things like that I mainly stay with natural bait seems to work best for us especially when you're targeting big fish that's what I normally use on Lake James when I fish up there for catfish which will be doing here really soon in the next couple of weeks
+theoutdoorsportsmen / Carolina Outdoors Ok thanks I'll try it with some bluegill next time I go fishing looking forward to seeing the show on Lake James
+Paul Brittain will let you know and I'll let you know what kind of bait we used so maybe that'll help you next time. There's some pretty darn big catfish in lake James we've got some real nice ones
My favorite lake in GA
Yes sir. We don't have the good striper and Hybrid fishing here in NC. So we always head there for them. Thanks
Headed there in the morning
Best of luck to you. We Love it down there
