- When you hear this emotional solo episode of “Unlocked,” Savannah will likely have just left the courtroom after hearing the decision on her parents’ fate following their sentencing in Federal Court in Atlanta on Monday evening. As she was recording this, she was well aware that she could come home from Georgia without either of her parents and with custody of both of her younger siblings, her brother Grayson who is 16 and her sister, Chloe, who is 10. In case you don’t already know about this very special relationship, Chloe is Savannah’s biological niece but was adopted by her family and has been raised by this nuclear unit since she was 1. Thoughts of the holidays without Todd and Julie, the overwhelm of nonstop public opinion, and desperation of a 25-year-old female who still longs to have her parents are recurring themes. Savannah has leaned more and more into being transparent regarding her emotional health in recent months, and this raw, unfiltered monologue is no exception. High-functioning depression, severe anxiety, and discussion of past suicidal thoughts all make their way in to this episode. She admits that it truly all crashes down for her emotionally when she reaches those moments that “fix it” mode is no longer an option and she is forced to surrender.

Savannah, my Mom passed away October 14th in her sleep and I’m facing the holidays and everything without her, and I’m lost. People can be very cold and cruel-and you’re right when the chips are all down, you find out who is there, and you find out who isn’t. I’m lost, I’m severely depressed, anxiety is through the roof-and I’m clinging to the promises that God gave us. That he is close to the broken-hearted. That he works all for our own good…also-if you ever do want to hear things about the justice system, I can tell you a very true and personal story about it my family experienced! My mom passed away from covid. I am now raising my 2 younger siblings and in the battle of custody with one. It is so hard raising your siblings but you do it with love. I wouldn’t be who I am without my sisters. 💛 I pray for your family and you Savannah 🤍

That’s a nice response. People like you are normal. You feel bad for her. The fact her parents are criminals is a fact and a jury of the appears in the United States government found them guilty, which they were, or if they were not guilty. Why didn’t they say something when money kept rolling in from banks, she should be mad at her father is who she should be mad at and her mother from lying to the government. My husband and I fell in love with your family years ago when we watched the very first episode of Chrisley Knows Best. We laughed sooo much and saw our own son in Chase at times. Watching this video today, was heartbreaking....I had no idea of your struggles with depression....You're right though people think because everything seems right and you're smiling that all is well. I understand that because my 24 year old revealed to us about 6 years ago that he struggles with depression and anxiety. We were so surprised and my heart broke for him because how did I not see!!! We talk more and I check on him more and love him even more and definitely pray even more. Savannah, I will definitely be praying for you and your family. I pray that your parents will find strength and that hopefully they can be released sooner or the appeal will bring positive results. I hate to read the unkind and hateful remarks and found myself trying to defend but it was useless...people are incredibly disgusting, unforgiving and judgemental. Im praying for you Savanna. I lost my husband and children's father to the prison system for nearly two years and I literally grieved his absence. I was sick with grief. It does get better. Visits are so great. And that release day is magical! Unfortunately he passed away three years after he was released and now I'm left with extreme grief. Your parents, if they serve time, forgive me I haven't kept up, they will be leaders on the inside and they will be loved and will have a new understanding and new compassion for "criminals". I can see them making great things happen for us over here in the gutter. I salute you savannah. It will be ok one day.
Savannah! I’m sitting here crying with you. You are going to do such great things! I think you’re amazing that going through these hard times and you are wanting to help others. My heart breaks for you all. Prayers for a positive appeal. I am so glad to hear you thankful for your parents health, they are young and the words of a great man….. “EVERY STORM RUNS OUT OF RAIN” I’ve heard Todd say that and it has stuck with me!! My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in July. I live 600 miles away and haven’t seen him in a few weeks, got here last night and seeing him has broke my heart. He can barely walk, he’s lost so much weight. He’s completed a few months of chemo and is scheduled for a whipple surgery in a few weeks. It’s so hard to see your parents in situations that are out of our control. Just as you have said and I’ve heard your parents say everyone has their hard, situations differ but the pain is real and I feel your pain. I worked in prison and have had family incarcerated. Prison doesn't serve the incarcerated or their families. It doesn't even help the people who work there. It costs upwards of 100K to incarcerate a healthy young person annually and that is without a treatment program. Being punitive hasn't diminished the crime rate. Who are we that we can't find better ways? The Netherlands and Central African Republic have closed most of their prisons because they have leaned into restorative justice. I cry for you because I know what you are going through. I will keep you in my prayers.
Savanna, you are very strong for sharing your story and I know it’s hard even being the center of attention because of everything that’s going on and like you said you may not know what’s going on in somebody’s life or around them but you can feel the same. @@iikhalaii8784 the issue here is no one should go to prison into 2022 unless you are violent or an sa offender. Yes they should be punished if they are guilty, but there are other ways than the inhumane system we have. There are ways to punish them without locking them up. I say this for every non violent person sitting in prison especially for the ones in there due to drug use.

My brother was sentenced to many years in prison…and it literally felt like someone had died. I stayed in constant prayer and this went on for weeks until I received a letter from him where he conveyed that of course it’s a bad situation, but that he was faithful to God and that he was ok. So it’s not exactly the same as a parent going away, but just sayin’ I get it…and the takeaway should be that because Todd and Julie are God fearing people, they are going to be ok too.
I am praying for Savannah’s continued strength and that she will be encouraged, energized and happy in the days, weeks and years ahead as she cares for her family. ❤🙏

This is truly heartbreaking! I've watched your family since the very beginning, and I even got my husband to watch. We love your entire family and we've been biting our nails and praying for the best outcome for you all in every scenario. I know this seems so horrible. My family has been traumatized by the penal system as well. The key is to continue loving, trusting, being positive and communicative. We know how hard it affects everyone in a family. No matter how this turns out, though, we're positive that we'll see your family shine again. In the meantime, we'll continue to pray because we know you'll do amazing raising your siblings. Thankfully, your folks raised great kids. I'm 50+ and I was raised by a village because my parents couldn't and it was really tough, but I made it through. Her family was not penalized by the legal system, they are crooks, they are frauds. The whole reason they were able to live such a luxurious life is because they were committing fraud the entire time. They were not penalized in some arbitrary way. They committed crimes and now they have to pay for it. Don't be blind just because they are a celebrity family that you fell in love with they are crooks. People like you should be p***** off at their family. They go on TV pretending to be good Christian people blah blah blah, living a wholesome life... and the entire time they had you fooled and they were committing fraud. How are you not p***** off at that? That's one thing that I don't understand about people is how they look at celebrities differently than they view other people any other family that committed this level of fraud for this many years and you would be p***** off but because there's celebrities somehow you still worship them. Take the blinders off. Do I feel bad for Savannah? yes. Her parents are crooks not her. But don't give her parents a free pass and try to paint them as the victims. They are crooks and now they have to do the time.

Savannah, firstly I am sending you the biggest, warmest virtual hug possible. As a mom, I wish I could protect you, Chase, Grayson and Chloe from the struggles you will be facing in the near future. Secondly, you do have AMAZING parents and although you may not feel that you can walk in their shoes, I think you can and will do whatever it takes to keep your family together and to stay strong until your Mom & Dad can resume their parental roles again. You have 25 years of lessons learned from them and unconditional love. I know that Grayson & Chloe are going to look to you for the strength to survive this terrible time in their lives. Focus on all of you getting out and doing something that is fun and physical. You all need something to look forward to. Sitting around feeling depressed is not good for any of you. And when you need to vent when you are frustrated and scared, use your social media platform to just talk and vent as you did tonight. I could feel your vulnerability and sense your fear but I also know you are a strong young woman, who is wise, like your father and kind and resourceful like your mother. You will step up to the plate and lead your family through these dark days. I believe God will be there to guide you through this, as will many friends of all ages and walks of life, both old and new friends you will meet along the way.

Quite frankly, I think Savannah is the ONLY one that can steer the Chrisley ship and keep it all together during these trying times. She is most like Todd and will guide the family until they’re all together again! Stay prayed up and this will be behind you in no time!
I totally agree with you. Savannah will do an amazing job. I cried for them all as my heart is broken. I have loved ones that was sentenced to jail and its a hurtful feeling. I hate to see families torn apart. I was also a 17 year old mother and I did a great job raising my daughter who is now getting ready to graduate collage. I know Grayson will help out with Chole. Also they have their grand parents and other siblings for support. As long as they all stick together they will get through this.

I’m in Nashville… I want to start by saying thank you so much for using your platform to talk about your family’s issues, mental health, suicide… imprisonment…if anyone has felt the justice system and the wrath it comes down on family… it’s me… I was 5 when my father went to prison for 25 to life with the possibility of parole…. He went in at 32 and come out at 60 years old…. I’m beyond grateful for him home. He has his own business ( very successful) owns his home, his own vehicles… I’m beyond proud of him. But let me tell you while he was gone I needed him… my mama committed suicide October 9, 2006 5 days after my birthday… you really hit a mail on a head! I mourned a man that was so alive but was stuck… yes he committed a crime in the eyes of law, but it was in self defense and he paid greatly….
Savanna you will get three this! You and the siblings you took on need therapy asap… it’s ok to not be ok!!! You have to have emotions, you have to feel them when they happen too is very important!!! I didn’t feel my mamas death and she was my everything… I went into survival mode I was 23 and had a baby girl 3…. My mama lost her home and told no one! We became homeless… it got worse before it got better! I went to work every morning l, sleeping in my car in a TA truck stop sleeping in my car… so we could take showers and go to work and take her to daycare… I’m grateful she doesn’t remember this… I made it like we were camping and a game all while it was our reality!!! You have to ask for help! You got to surround yourself with a strong support system even if it begins with you… your going to get through this, this too shall pass.

Its very challenging for me to empathize with your parents. However your appeal to ask me to open my heart and consider what your family is exsperiencing is very heartening. My father has been incarcerated for over 4 decades. He is guilty of his crime. Yet it still hurts. I pray you peace and grace. PRISON is hard for those sent and the loved ones they leave on the outside.

My brother started a 5 year bid in May. I totally feel you when you say it tests your faith and is very difficult. I’m the caregiver now of both my mom and my younger two nephews who live in my hometown 4 hours away from my home and child is attending college. It’s not easy at all balancing two households and having everyone depending on you. But, surrounded by solid friends, family and faith, I just keep pressing. We are a lot alike in the whole pride thing. But, dear Savannah, we are worthy. It’s hard to accept and definitely hard to ask for. But, reach out - the truest hands and love oftentimes comes from those we least expected to help us. I know…peace and blessings

Ok. With the way these woke DAs are handing out no bail to those burglarizing these high end department stores, these violent offenders slamming innocent people to the ground and bashing their brains in, and all the other crimes being committed and the perpetrators being released back into society. I’m sickened by this sentence. Yes, pay your taxes but make the sentence fit the crime. They should have had suspended sentences with community service and restitution. What in the world does this sentence prove? Talk about an upside down judicial system!
Your family has provided many smiles in my household over the years and hope all of you stay strong. We can make mistakes, but your family has good hearts and you all will get through this.
People make mistakes yea but not stealing millions and millions of dollars. People don't make that mistake and if they do they go to prison. If this wasn't someone you love watching on TV and just some joe off the street you would want justice for that kinda crime. People are out here working 14 hours a day to provide the minimum for their families and then you have a family out there doing nothing and stealing millions and living the best life.
