Filmed with my iphone, not my usual camcorder.
It’s been 10 years since my last trip to Maldives & it’s been on my list to return to ever since! Onboard a brand new, 2 month old British Airways Boeing 777-300, G-STBM Flight BA60 from Malé to London Heathrow on November 9th 2020.
Filmed from the last row of the club world cabin, in the new suite.
This route has only just started for BA. The route to the Maldives was previously served on a 777-200 from Gatwick, but was planned to move to Heathrow for the start of the seasonal winter route in October. Since the route moved to Heathrow the service has been operated by the larger 777-300's.
Turn up the volume for the incredible GE90 engine start up from around the 50 second mark. If you've got headphones on it sounds insane.
Flight time back to London was just under 11 hours. I didn't film anymore of the flight as I only had my phone not my camera and it was dark for our arrival into London.

also, you can look for other videos of planes in Male airport being pushed back on to the runway. they literally don't taxi! xD

Yep, British Airways recently took delivery of G-STBM and G-STBN, and they still have G-STBO on order. These three are the first 777s that British Airways have taken delivery of in 6 years. Their last one before that was G-STBL, delivered in July 2014.

It's an extremely versatile aircraft! BA would do well to replace the antiquated long-range aircraft they need to get rid of with these.

It is good by the window because the vibrations, don't u like the combustion sound😎
There are always gonna be vibrations on a 777-300er. The engines are like rocket boosters.
