      Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‭-‬18 says,
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.

I live in the Caribbean, at our local coffee shop, they use straws made of seaweed I believe. They add no flavour, they don’t change the temperature, and they just as cheap as paper straws. The only problem they aren’t as sleek, with a see-through, and spotty colour.

If you’ve heard of cornstarch straws, those are super nice. They act like plastic, but are much harder/sturdier (not easy to bend, but possible). And they’re also completely biodegradable.
Really nice alternative and fairly cheap depending where you get them. If you get metal or those rinsable straws, probably want to make sure there’s a good way to clean them. After taste is always awful.

Straws are actually really good for drinks. Thermodynamics have it that colder liquid go under hotter ones due to density difference.
That way when you have a warm drink that has been iced, you can drink colder part pretty much immediately rather than havjng to wait for whole thing to cool down to acceptable degree

Something that MANY people DONT know is that in Greece a few years ago we STOPED USING PLASTIC STRAWS. We mostly use paper straws but i think that NO ONE likes them because they get soggy. If i remember correctly its because there were too many plastic straws trowed on the ground or smt soooo they just stopped selling them (well not really stopped on their own). Now everyone has a bunker with plastic straws in their house.

For ppl asking why anyone would even use straws, i'll speak from personal experience.
My intire life i've had smth i believe is called glass enamel (teeth condition)
And it causes pain when drinking straight from glasses or mugs if the drink is even slightly below livingroom temp, and i found out that using straws cut the pain to almost none and its the only way i can enjoy 70% of drinks at social events i personally use glass straws for no after taste and how they are better for the environment. Hope this gave atleast another valid reason to using straws and not just drinking straight from the cup/mug :D

I love my glass straws so much! They were well worth the one time price tag for a set of I think 7? And I bought one that had a bamboo case as well, so that I would feel more confident taking it with me (I know they're sturdy AF, but a bitch be paranoid carrying around a tube of glass in his pocket, okay)
The only problem I have with them, is that the texture reminds me of hard candies. That paired with I almost only drink sweet drinks and the more I drink, the harder it is to resist the urge to CHOMP. But that's probably just a me thing.
    Tldr; STRONGLY recommend glass straws!

I ended up preferring the silicone ones, which come in a pack of several, it's easier to use and because it's wide you can pull more solid things like fruit and ice, as well as thicker liquids like milkshake.
