- Here’s my first impressions and 1-month review of the ever-famous #TSLEngineerBag. I purchased this bag from Nomado Store in September 2023 and have been this #TheSuperiorLabor Engineer bag in the small size on and off for the past month. I hope you enjoy this unboxing and #review!

The torture of I want a cute bag, but I also want all of my stuff. The struggle is REAL. 😂
This is my struggle, too.
I love when you were so excited unwrapping the package. Make me smile.
So for the first year I had mine, I used it mostly to take all my stuff with me on errands and whatnot. The disadvantage was that my one shoulder was taking a beating due to the weight. I have since started using it as a way to take stationary supplies to meetups and to transport beach wear. The patina is gorgeous the longer you have/use it, but I can’t see it being my everyday driver like it used to be. I think it can be used as a great work bag for those that pack light.

Nice review of your TSL engineer bag. It does appear very small but suitable for everyday use. I prefer the the extra large that converts to a backpack.❤

I really want the Baum-Kuchen exclusive because of the teal colour way that they offer.
I hope that someday TSL offers a backpack in the future. But I think I could use my mad sewing skillz to make backpack straps on an existing TSL bag. Dreams for the future. ❤
So I watched your video last year and really wanted one. I finally shelled out the $$ and got one (size XS) from Baum Kuchen. Love it! I am 4' 10" so XS fits me. Thanks for your awesome reviews!

Even though it's small, it looks like I can use it for daily/work life. It looks like it can almost fit the kitchen sink in there, but at least it's very cute!
Probably a better bag for just carrying books and journals for a three day weekend. 😊
I used to carry a wheelie bag to work, because I carried many things I “ might” need (and didn’t). I actually had to lug the bag upstairs, though, and my back is still paying for it.

The TSL stuff is good looking, nicely made and holds up pretty decently…but the straps usually aren’t included, and I think for the totes, this drives the price up a little too high.
Nice review! I can take my SE size to work if I just need my laptop, tech pouch and a few other things, and I know I’m not walking much. But usually I walk to the train station and need extra stuff like my lunch and coffee cup. Be careful if you get the black canvas, it does transfer to colour to your clothes - it ruined one of my wool jackets.
What killed it for me is the weight of the leather on a single shoulder. I will take my matador backpack that was half the price for comfort any day.
so far I'm getting away with using my Delfonics M as an everyday bag, though with my system next year I might size out of it :')

I only use mine when I run short errands cause I love to carry so much with me. I have a 3 hour round trip commute on public transportation 5 times a week so I have use a backpack. I always want to use my TSL but it can get so heavy with just a few things and its not good for my body at all.
Ooooh yes a backpack is defs a must for a long commute! The TSL bags can get so heavy when stuffed so I definitely need to be mindful of that in the future! Thanks so much for watching, Denise!

Haha can't hide the excitement! I would say its probably almost 1 lb or even slightly more! The straps are the heaviest part!

I have Nomado’s compact size in all-leather & recorded an unboxing so I have a reference later on how it looks like with new vs patina. I try not to stuff it as it has already some weight to it & I agree the strap is really hefty. Need to get Baum-kuchen’s nylon strap 😅

The bag is very cut but looks heavy🤔. I would also prefer to use a backpack.
That’s the thing I hate about them. They are sooooo heavy. It’s definitely amazing quality and will last forever though.
Backpacks are probably the same weight
I was just curious if this bag gets uncomfortable or really heavy carrying it single shoulder. I also like to carry loads of things and prefer backpacks, but was really interested in this!
It is still quite heavy but having it cross body seems to help with the weight distribution for me! There's a backpack version of this size on the Nap Dog website (TSL's official online shop)!
It gets a tad heavy for sure when it’s all full! They make a backpack version too but it’s quite hard to find online since it always sells out so fast!
Because it’s sold out everywhere I can’t find the price….so what does this bag run for?
Its about 200 USD! The price changes since it is from Japan!
@@JobsJournal not bad since the strap alone is 180USD…isn’t it? I like the little black TSL tote that’s being sold at baum kuchen, but it’s 280USD and it doesn’t come with a strap lol. I had to find an alternative for now and maybe forever, but it is very nice ;) I even considered the little replica Keychain but thats almost 50 dollars. Very cute though!
I was at the shop 2 weeks ago and the bag doesn’t look that big.. I feel it’s too pricey..
