1980’s Reston era was really great when they had the bowling alley and roller skating rink, both with arcades, and after they shut those down it was lame. Safe, but lame. Boring. Your only options as a teen were the swimming pools. I was a skateboarder and the cops loved kicking us out of everywhere they could… all those office complexes. ANYWAY, glad I’m raising my son away from the woke programming of their school systems. Too many police there in relation to the crime. They love writing up speeding tickets there, nothing else to do, that’s as exciting as it gets - 8 miles over the speed limit.
