In the 1700s, in the city of Solingen, Germany, when the industrial development of the European republics was brewing and the continent was in intermittent wars for its lands, a noble knife seller named Clemens Weyersberg decided to start his own business Family together with his son Peter and his grandson Wilhelm.
Solingen was a city that worked the steel and the forge by tradition. Thus becoming the main supplier of tools, knives and weapons that consumed the entire European continent, due to the quality of its processes and materials.
As a characteristic family of Solingen, Germany, the Weyersberg dominated the forge by inheritance from their ancestors. They worked the steel thoroughly and extracted from it its best benefits applied to the metalwork.
At that time, German processes in metalworking and arms production, led the quality and provided a large number of countries in the region that were at war. The tradition of the German forge resulted in agricultural tools and weapons of the highest quality.
Thanks to these circumstances, the company was officially constituted on January 1, 1787.
The firm began accelerated growth taking advantage of market needs. It also became one of the leading suppliers of tools, weapons and knives throughout Germany.
