Story:
Each of the folk songs written in Anatolia contains a story.
Sometimes the circumstances have been separated from his beloved, and some of him could not reach beyond a glance… One way or another, the feelings of love, passion and longing have taken place in these folk songs.
One of these is the folk song "Denizüstü Foaming", written by Şerafettin Civelek, a compiler from Muğla Ula, a baglama artist, and a folk artist still living in İzmir, and has survived to the present day.
This folk song was born from a true story in Muğla's Ula village. The love of a young man named Osman for Gülayşe became the subject of the lines in that famous song.
Osman Ula is from Çaydere. And one day, Ula attends one of her weddings. It is rumored that this wedding was his uncle's son.
At that time, in Ula weddings and even in weddings in many cities in Anatolia, the unmarried boys of the village lined up on the wall and looked at the girls in the wedding area.
The aim here, according to most opinions, is to point out the girls they like and cut off girls in order to send their families to the other side as a seer. (There were even those who threw stones at the heads of the girls) In short, Osman takes his place on the wall with the caravan of singles. He begins to scrutinize the girls in the regiment one by one. But before long, his eye catches on a belle.
He did not go to anyone else but the girl, his eyes wandered and he found her in the ring. Gülayşe.. At that moment, her hands and feet caught fire and she wrote that girl in her mind. It is no longer possible for him to forget the girl, nor could he get it out of his mind.
It is not known whether he does not have the courage to send a seer, Osman wants to know the girl first. He starts his wedding expedition to see that girl once again, whom he could only watch that day. He travels for weddings, hoping to see his Gülayşe.
It is rumored that Osman exaggerates this wedding trip and goes to almost all of Ula's weddings.
As a result of this situation, those who know Osman begin to say to him, "There is no wedding without Osman" instead of "no wedding without camber". Come and go, Osman catches the girl at a wedding.
She will speak, she has put her mind to it.
However, for some reason, just then, his friends suddenly take him to a place to tell the boy's troubles, like a troublemaker. They immediately ask about your problem. What should Osman tell them?
What did they realize all this time? Osman wants to tell only the girl he loves what is in his heart. Because he will be able to say it once. Is it so easy to be able to express all the emotional burden from your heart?.. Osman picks up his instrument and begins to sing what he could not express, but as much as he can express...

Osman said that at that time, the words of the well-known folk song that we all know. However, in the version that we hear from artists such as Cem Karaca, Haluk Levent, Edip Akbayram today, the words have been changed.
therefore, compatibility with today's music system, etc. Although the pieces that can carry a purpose do not move away from the original thought structure, the words have gained a quality that befits the notes rather than the ones poured out from the heart. (oh yarim-rinna rinna ney).
In short, Osman hurt a girl's heart, patched it, added it, and reached it.
