I first played barony a couple of years ago liked it, but really couldnt progress past the swamps so I stopped playing. Couple of weeks ago rediscovered and went back to playing. Even though its community is kind of small its still nice to see people making guides and the like and easing new players into it. Gotta say your videos are of high quality and reflect the game's status overall; obscure, yet enjoyable. I hope you continue making these guides and keeping Barony's community alive :)
Man I really appreciate you typing that all out! I'm trying my best to fine tune my style into something that everyone will enjoy and possibly learn something from! If you have any recommendations please feel free to let me know! :) again, thank you so much for the compliments!
Thanks for this video. As of just last night I not only killed my first shopkeeper, I went on a spree and got the achievement for killing 3 in one run. But I did it without a tutorial and as such it was very expensive. My cannon fodder followers always died and I would lose all of my fire traps and most of my turrets. It was profitable but it still wound up being expensive. I should have watched this before I played as it would have saved me a lot of scrap and meatshields.
I'm glad you found it useful! I have over 200 hours into Barony and just recently started killing them for loot! It's also highly profitable if you play as the Automaton, kill shopkeepers-- then, polymorph and trade as usual! But whatever you want first, then kill the shopkeeper for the rest of the loot, in other words lol
Another strategy for the late game is lure a cockatrice in, they can actually lose to them pretty easily from what I've seen. Only issue is that you'll still have a cockatrice to deal with albeit very weakened
In each video I'm around level 2-4. They obviously get much easier to kill later on, but for demonstrational purposes, I killed them at a very early level!
@ItIsYouAreNotYour Honestly it does depend on your base stats and your stage. I went out of my way to reset my playthrough after killing shopkeepers to keep a low level. I know 100% that each clip I was lower than level 5, maybe it's placebo but I think I was outputting very predictable damage. So, for example: obviously if you're playing as a Barbarian and decide to use a slingshot, you won't deal much damage. Same if you play as a Ranged class (Arcanist/Wizard) and melee him, the damage is embarrassingly low. If I have any recommendations, definitely use your base stats on your class to your advantage. If you decide to play melee, honestly I couldn't recommend Swords more since they inflict that Bleeding debuff. Other than that, honestly I HIGHLY recommend using the throwables because they do in fact deal a crazy high amount of damage, regardless of your stats/class!!!
@@roogeydoogz Yeah, I'm sort of new but not exactly at this point. I've had the game for years and believe it or not just played it last month for the first time. Man, was I missing out? Appreciate the help. I'd love to see more videos. Something I've struggled with is the distance to hit them while getting away. Sometimes you see people sort of get the 1-2-3 combo in other times it's 1 and run.
@ItIsYouAreNotYour To be fair it's incredibly difficult to learn the ebb and flow with melee classes, regardless of the enemy you're fighting. I have almost 300 hours and I still find it difficult to maneuver. It definitely helps having a high movespeed, otherwise just use a shield and keep yourself safe!! lol

Swamps?!
about to take my revenge for being killed the first time i entered the shop as a vampire
Honestly I’m sad barony has a small community but the videos made about it are always really good
Just watched a 6 minute video on a game I have never played nor plane on playing. 10/10 would watch again
You should try it out! You'll also have a 29 minute long video to watch before you inevitably end up buying Barony! :)
I just picked up Barony and have been binging all your videos! A wonderful source of information
I like that this game is getting some love too.

Thanks! This looks fun, keep up the good work! I also look forward to more of the breakdown of the other bioms!
very informative, thanks for the objectivity of the video.

Very interesting 🤔 I've honestly never witnessed that happening. I'll be sure to try it out!
Love your videos bro
More sacrifice for the Algorithm
Yeah I use Zap Brigardier
What level are you in these examples?

@@roogeydoogz Looks like you hit super hard haha. I hit them and it feels like I'm going to be locked in for a good hour haha.
