Sweet, you're both talking to us at the same time! I could get used to this. With regards to tire pressure, the "cold" rating is an absolute max, but unless you're filling your tires in the cold and staying in the cold, it's one of those things you'll need to just keep an eye on and adjust as needed because thermodynamics. In a nutshell, hot things expand and cold things contract, this includes whatever you've filled your tires with and I can anecdotally illustrate with the tires on our van. I've mentioned before that we're in the Midwest, so there's a wide range of temps throughout the year. Our van tires are suggested to be filled to 36Psi. If I fill them in the Summer to 36, they're good until September or so when, even with no issues, the pressure in the tires drops to about 34ish. In November, they'll drop to 32 and once we hit mid-December, they start going under 30 (when the outside temps get into single digits and negatives) and that's when the van screams at me like the world is going to end. That's all if I do nothing between Summer and Winter, so what I've started doing (since the dealership we bought our most recent tires from advertises free lifetime tire rotation when we bought a full set) is scheduling one rotation in the Spring and one rotation in the Fall (which roughly fits "their" suggestion of rotating every six months) and let the dealership update the pressures for the coming season. I've only been doing that for a year now, but since I've started it, the van hasn't screamed at me yet. #DumpinTanksWithTheHanks and #CheckinPexWithTheDex all the way! You were in such a rush to get to Florida you didn't stop at Buc-ee's? That's one of our goals when we hit the road, to see our first Buc-ee's. As far as Neyney driving our RV, that's something I've indirectly thought of (not Renee specifically); since the other half is not typically-abled and might not be able to handle driving our rig (regardless of whether we end up going bumper pull or fifth wheel) what happens if I get hurt, hospitalized, or worse and she's not able to get the truck back to the trailer or get the rig set up somewhere to hole up until I can get back to her? Are there drivers for hire for situations like that? Maybe a hot shot driver or towing company might know? This isn't a formal request asking Neyney to do it, just looking for information (I'm sure you know that, but we all know that when we don't say things like that, there's room for misunderstanding). I know that there will be a day when our collective journey will end, but for that situation, I'm hoping we'll have met someone on the road who we would ask to get out rig to our family as a final favor because I'm guessing neither of our families would have the slightest idea how to get our rig on the road. Kinda morbid, I know, but we try to plan for stuff like this just like we made provisions for what would happen to our kids if we'd passed before they became adults. If we don't take control of these situations, there's a LOT left to chance and the whim of self-serving bureaucracies that care more for practices and procedures than they do about people.
Renee that’s how I wear my glasses and sunglasses when I drive. My family makes fun of me. Now I can show them this video and they will get how cool this is😀. Love you guys. Thanks for the many laughs!
We go to pick up our first RV today and found you guys last night while trying to figure out what we got ourselves into. Long story short we were in tears during the first video we watched, you two are hilarious. Keep the videos coming your tips all seem super useful I can't wait to start putting them to use soon!! P.S. This is the very first time I have ever commented on a video!
if the pressure on the tires call for 110 max that is cold and should be maintained. now if your traveling in 100 degree outside temperature you should drop the tire pressure at least 5 pounds per tire.
So I've watched you guys a couple times and was like, "that has to be an ack", their just to real and too cool. Now I understand your just authentic. Totally super fun. You guys are legit !!! Hope to see you on the road !!
We really appreciate this Steven! So glad you are along for the journey, it’s wonderful to meet you 😊😊🙌🏼 keep these great comments coming, you mean so much!
Just a suggestion. We had an issue with out TPMS reaching the inside of the truck as well. You can mount the booster above the pinbox and wire it into the 7way harness. It will power on when you connect the truck, so you dont have to worry about it draining the RV battery.
We’ve narrowed down our search to 2 5th wheels, both Solitudes, slight different floor plans. I’ve never towed our trailers before but if I had to, I know that I could. I’m thinking of taking a driving course/instructions once we get the 5th wheel. Where we live, we have to have a special endorsement on our license to tow after a certain weight. It’ll be different because we normally travel with others but soon we’ll mostly be on our own with no travel buddy/backup. I love that Renee is so confident towing the 5th wheel - I hope to achieve that level of confidence! Safe travels.
This is wonderful to hear Julie!! You would definitely rock it :) Neither of us had towed anything before starting our full-time journey. That's interesting about the special endorsement, sounds like you have it well figured out!! Much love from the Hanks family ❤️
For future reference, it takes 24 CONSECUTIVE hours below 32° to freeze RV water lines. You'll have nothing to worry about if it gets below freezing overnight. Also the TPMS system should definitely be placed where the driver can see it at a glance, as yes it will warn of a fast leak, but you really want to keep an eye on your (EXPENSIVE) tire pressures as you go, as SLOW leaks are the cause of most blowouts contrary to what most people think. My repeater is in the front storage compartment on my 5th wheel which is 36.5' long. As for traffic noise...I'm a truck driver...not on the road anymore right now (took an instructor job), but spent years at truck stops between other running trucks, next to highways, with reefer units running (often times my own, right behind my cab), APU's etc, and personally always found comfort in that! The noise always lulled me to sleep, but not everyone can take that, that's just my experience. Yes I do love the tranquil quiet of our favorite dry camping campground in the Adirondack Mountains and any other campground we stay at, it's expected and we love it, it's nice to not hear all the noise, but if I stay at a rest area or parking lot, noise is to be expected and I'm ok with that. I also find bad weather to be soothing...when I'm INSIDE and sleeping. If possible, try to park against the wind so it doesn't hit the side of your camper.
This is great to know! We definitely want to get this repeater installed ASAP. That's great that highway noise has brought you good night sleeps as well 🙂Thank you for these wonderful tips, you mean a lot taking the time to write this out for us!!
New to RVing and just absolutely enjoy youse guys. Won't be full timers, but looking to finally do some traveling a month at a time. I can't believe I've binge watched over a dozen of your vids the other night. So much to learn and fully enjoy/appreciate all the tidbits of info. The chemistry, wit, and optimism are refreshing.
Ok so the 20% above is basically what your tire pressure will go up to from your 110, tire pressure goes up while driving and if it’s real hot it can go up even more so knowing when you at need to stop and give your tires a break cool down is good. So your high max pressure would be 132 same goes with lower pressure, the tires may start at 110, but the cold weather could bring them down lower so you set a low pressure point. And if you say they are not cold but have a slow leak you get notified. We had stopped at Walmart to get groceries, after we had put stuff away we got in the truck and the alarm is going off, we picked up a nail and caused a slow leak, we looked up a tire repair location within the area we drove there and had the tire fixed, if we had not gotten the warning, we would have driven away and ended up with a flat or possibly shredding the tire. Love the fact that you stopped at Rockhound SP we have reservations in Feb for our trip to AZ. Good to know that it has some great views. Have never been there before we try to stay at SP or Federal parks along our travels. Davis Mt SP is our first stop and Rockhound our second exited to get going only 5 more days and we are off! Enjoy Florida, hope you find camping without reservation during Snowbird season!
Thank you for sharing this great information. There is a dang science to these tires and we didn't learn it in nursing school 😆 You guys will love Rockhound! We were in site 11 (we think) and love the views! Safe travels!
Carl, the real test comes when you have grandkids, you're so old everyone just thinks you're crazy and they leave you alone. Then you can do ANYTHING!! (within reason of course) Keep the good stuff coming guys.
I laughed out loud when I saw your double glasses situation! I am always rocking the 6 eyed look, but mine are usually regular glasses topped with computer reading glasses! (because I'm old 😜) I think Chad likes the look LOL
We are pretty used to traffic noise and semi truck noise in general because Mike was a truck driver for almost 20 years. Get lasik! I (Lynn) got LASIK a few years back and it's been great. No more driving glasses and no Rx sunglasses👏🏻 The state park looks great! We love the Southwest!
Yeah I guess Mike would also rock to sleep so easily with that background noise 🤣🙌🏼That's a great idea by the way with the LASIK! Stay safe out there guys, it was great meeting you both!!
They seem to stay busy. They were nearly full in the fall of 2018 (our 1st year of full timing). When people ask where our favorite places are, we always list Rock Hound in our top 5. It was quiet, our site was huge! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Another GREAT video ! Dexter has your numbers. Peggy Sues is iconic. The food is not bad, and the waitresses are straight out of the fifties. Looks like they cleaned up the parking lot since our last visit in 20'. Keep the shiny side up & the greasy side down; keep your wheels between the ditches and Smoky out of your britches.... safe travels to FL.
Thank you Herb! We hope to make it back there one day soon for a sit down meal. That's cool that you have been there as well :) Love this!! Stay safe friend
Loved this episode ❤ With Ney Ney confirming that double lens driving is cool, I feel so much better now...I have prescription ones with the lens that you hang on the rims but just not the same🤦♀️ It's great to see new places to camp with such awesome views...thanks for sharing 😎 Your humor always makes me laugh and brightens my day🤗 Love & hugs, LB🌴💚💜😎
Such a beautiful spot! I think Dex should be carried around on a decorative platform on your shoulders the way Cleopatra was. He deserves that I think....Kyle I hope you feel better!
The recommended cold tire pressure is based upon enough air pressure to support the rig at the gross vehicle weight. They use a chart with weight verses pressure. Less air pressure is a better ride. More air pressure is less rolling resistance and better tire wear. The reason you check tire pressure cold is the pressure increases with temperature. In the desert during hot weather, I run the least amount of cold air pressure I can because of the pressure gain. I used to work for Goodyear years ago and we recommended setting the cold air pressure at 90% of the maximum rated pressure. I had a Class A motorhome and the recommended air pressure was 90 psi. The maximum rated cold air pressure for the tire was 115 psi. By increasing the air to 105 psi, my gas mileage went from 7 mpg to 9.5 mpg and a lot of the body roll when passed by 18-wheelers went away. Happy trails!
@@HappilyEverHanks trailer tires(ST tires) should always be measured at cold temp and set to max rated pressure. Truck tires can be ran at lower pressures for comfort depending on their weight rating.
This is a great tip Darren! I have been trying to drink some Ginger tea in the mornings and it has been helping immensely 😃We appreciate your support! Cheers!
The lighting at Rockhound State Park looked really cool. That must have been something else to see it in person! The music was fun throughout the video, great job guys! Hope you're having fun!
You asked about the traffic noise... We'll park next to a refer truck that's got the system running all night. In the Navy, my bunk quarters were right above the generator room/engine room on my first ship. The constant humming of the engines were like rocking me to sleep every night!
For Dexter, you can clip a "hamster" water bottle to the inside of his travel crate. This way he has access to water on travel days. If the bottle is working correctly the crate won't get wet.
Just had knee surgery this was the best 17 minutes of my day. Can wait for the weather to get warmer here (Long Island) and start our camping trips. Enjoy and be safe.
Whenever my wife drives im a horrible passenger you guys share driving responsibilities well trusting each other keep safe on the roads and for pressures if my tires are cold 110 psi i set my high alarm about 120psi they will warm up while driving so they will get over 110 its ok
Our tires end up getting all the way to 127 at times with no issues. They will all read that so not sure what to do about that?? Thank you so much for sharing your input, we appreciate it #helpthehanks #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
Max cold air is before you drive it in the morning but be aware that if you set the tire pressure in lower temperatures and you go to a higher temperature area you could have to much air pressure in the tire. I went from cold Oregon to AZ and I got a tire that over heated and I realized the next morning that my tires were 2-3 pounds over the max pressure and that has never happened if I stay in the same area with the same temperature. On the way back to Oregon it was the opposite. I needed to add air. I also read an article the other day and it said if you pull in your main slides when it is cold than there is less area to heat and will save your propane.
Freeway traffic can be deafening especially at say… an I5 Rest Area - way not restful unless you’re dog tired. Far off traffic noise is still annoying, but you can make believe it’s something else. But we agree that wind is far more disruptive to a good nights sleep anywhere.
The pressure listed on the sidewall is the max pressure cold, this is also best for max gas milage, and a tire 20% underinflated, looses 80% of its weight handling ability and will heat up much faster
My wife and I love your videos! Extremely entertaining. Between you two and a couple other couples (changing lanes) we are looking into starting the RV life. Life is too short, so we are looking at early retirement and taking the leap! Keep up the great videos!
I made that trip once from Jacksonville to Northern California and back driving a big box truck on I-10 and that was quite the drive! I had to sleep in motels along the way and would have preferred a camper!
Hi guys….it’s me! The sunset was GORGEOUS ! But 19 degrees?!?….I was planning on winters down south to stay warm….what up with that? Glad Dex got some new digs…he’s been side-eyeing you guys since the BnB stay….nothing worse than a vengeful cat. 😳😳 Happy trails…..oh, and we LOVE the longer videos….10 minutes is not enough of Hank time!
I recently found you guys and love your videos. My husband and I are waiting to do this in the near future. Thanks for sharing some of the trials you face unfiltered. So far our biggest fear is learning to drive such a big rig.
Thank you very much James! We really appreciate your support 😃 we had similar fears when first starting out, but after a while becomes second nature. You guys will absolutely rock this!! 😎🙌🏼
Ok, one of Terra’s favorite videos because of all the air time Dexter got. He looked so cute with the sleepy eyes. We are so glad he got a bigger crate for the road. And oh yeah, as usual, you guys are hilarious. Hey Ney,Ney for your sun glasses buy those clip on shades that go over your everyday glasses. Very convenient. Lastly, that spot with those views - absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing. #RVLIFEBABY #DexterIsTheBomb #HanksAreGreat
Tire pressure is always given for cold, meaning in the morning before you hit the road. It'll fluctuate depending on the time of year / location and the ambient temperatures. Just a life simplification recommendation - they have internal TPMS sensors for trailer tires so you don't have to mess with the valve stem sensors every time you want to fill/check/adjust your pressures. Plus it gives a readout of the internal tire temperatures. I switched a while back and will never go back to the other style. I have a quick vid on those if you're interested. Not sponsored, but want to spread the word there's a much easier way that'll save people a headache.
This is wonderful information!! Thank you for taking the time to write this out for all of us to read 😃Your insight is valuable, keep these great comments coming!!
Hey guys!! Awesome views at that park! New Mexico is just gorgeous! So Dexter has upgraded in a big way! Our pets arent spoiled in any way, right?? Hope Carl is back to feeling 100%! Safe travels!
Max cold air is max cold air meaning when sitting overnight. If you drive and checked at a rest stop it will increase. Not 20% though. When you start your next travel day try watching your pressure on your truck. You’ll see it climb as the tires heat up as you drive. Essentially if you filled tires after driving you would be under inflated.
1. As an old man, i love that mystery machine truck. 2. You two would be amazing parents. We did a lot of traveling for camping trips with friends n family when i was a kid and it was awesome. Like, my happiest moments growing up were on camp grounds. You two have such fun personalities and good humors that i strongly believe your lil McHankets would be super happy chilrins. 👍🏻 3. Those views you guys get to wake up too every morning are pretty awesome. Love your content. Stay safe Hanks. :)
I'm so happy to have found you guys!! You are so FREAKIN adorable!! I pray I get to meet you guys on the road sometime. Thank you for sharing your adventures!!
Our freezing point is -1 Fahrenheit. That’s without skirting and using the propane heater with the fireplace to keep the inside around 72. This year in Breckinridge, I decided to let the bathroom sink slowly drip and that kept the pipe unfrozen down to -12. It’s going to be 8 tonight in Mancos, CO so feel y’all’s pain!
That's awesome that you guys have that figured out to the number Clayton 😃I wonder if ours would be similar in temperature range? Stay warm there!! Cheers 🙂
@@HappilyEverHanks 2 years in a row exploring all of Colorado in the winter helped me figure that out real fast. I bet yours is similar for the temps. Seems like the bathroom sink and shower freeze up first since they are furthest from the heater. Also, thanks on that suggestion for Echo Basin. This place rocks! Only about 6 campers here right now since it’s winter which is sure peaceful.
Glad to see Dexter has a bit more area to roam in while seeing this fantastic country, remember to lift that carrier with your legs not your back. 😜 We wouldn't want you to slip a disc. Looked like a great State Park. New Mexico has a lot of fantastic places to RV. Safe travels you two RV rockstars. 🍻 Sean
Hey guys!!! Glad to see ya on the road again!! Wanted to ask you about the table yiur using for editing while driving. Where can I get one??? Thank and please come back to Tennessee soon!!
Thanks for the tip on the NM campground. Will try and find it in ‘23 when we head wester. We are headed west on I10 next week to Lousiann, then on to TX ourselfs. Will be Harvest Hosting a couple times in the next month or two, Love Love Love that program and have had lots of great experiences everywhere from CT to FL (so far). Our Man Ozzy sez Hey to Dexter. Be Well and Thanks again for your channel.
We got home this evening with our new (to us) RV, a 2018 Thor Vegas 24.1. Yes, we bit the bullet. Our RV was located in the LA area and Peggy Sue's was our spot to rest on our way home to Las Vegas. However, the stop had extra drama. Our "new" Vegas has duallys and when we got parked and looked at the duallys on the driver side we saw that the outside tire was FLAT!!! OMG, our first day with our motorhome and we already have a flat tire. The Vegas does not come with a spare tire. We thought we might need a whole new tire! Luckily, we have AAA Premier and the AAA guy got us back on the road. After we slept, of course. And the best part is that it didn't cost us a thing! Here was the issue: The nuts on the valves were loose and needed to be tightened in order to hold air in the tire. Who knew! 🤷♀ So, make sure you are all checking your valves. 🙂 And what is up with Southern California being so cold?! The low last night was a balmy 32 degrees. 🥶 Worked out very well, though. We had plenty of propane and fully charged batteries!! Thanks to our solar panel on the roof!! As a matter of fact, when we went to bed we had a full charge on our batteries. After having the heater on all night we STILL had a full charge on the batteries in the morning. We do run our heater quite low, 57 degrees, as I overheat very easily and we both like cooler air to help us breath better. It is possible that the low heater temp helped conserve on energy, too. I was super pleased.👍 Here's hoping to see you all on the road someday! Keep up the great work with the videos!!
Congratulations on the new RV Tracy!! So sorry to hear about your flat tire though 😕LOVE that you guys have AAA (that's a nice peace of mind). This is a wonderful comment!! Keep these great comments coming, we enjoy hearing from you ❤️Safe travels and much love to you!!
I simply adore you two. If you’re ever near Bonifay, FL I know a great RV park. Full hookups, laundry, and so quaint. Outback Springs RV Park….oh and we’re parked there! Yep. Living in the RV while we remodel our house. Safe travels Hanks family! And Dexter…..be nice to Mom and Dad. They did upgrade your house little man. 🐱💘
Kyle our TST Truck repeater works very well mounted underneath the front edge of the Solitude. Run power wires up through a small hole and fuse the red wire near it's origin at the panel behind the hydraulic tank.
Highway noise is our white noise. Not a problem. Our cat carrier is about that size and has a cloth covered metal frame with a plush cushion and is screened but also has solid sides that can be rolled down to make it dark inside. Yeah Karl, why you no stop and see us here in Texas? Lol
That does look like an awesome spot to hang for a few days .... shhhhhhhh .... I do believe by the look in his eyes that "The Dexter" seems to be enjoying his new 360 degree look on life from his cool new digs ... I happen to be catching up on videos from " Our not so perfect life " and saw they gave you a #thankshanks ... see how you influence so many people ... nicely done Be careful ... Have fun ... take care of each other ... and Ney Ney !!! keep your eyes on the road
Great travel video once again. The Dex man in the crate. Like a castle for him. Take a peak at our Canadian Trucker convoy that went across Canada to Ottawa. It has been duper emotional watching these guys and gals. A few thousand of our American friends came north as well.
For TPMS I believe the 20% above means 20% above the recommended cold tire pressure setting on the vehicle. This represents the expected increase from driving, above which you get any alarm. I am not sure if your TPMS has this limitation, but mine has one alarm setting that applies to all the tires. However, my class B specifies 55 psi front and 80 psi rear (same tires). That means I need to set the high pressure alarm at 95, which is way too much for the 55 psi tires. My display is window mounted so always in view though. It would be nice if the TPMS allows for different alarm set points by tire/axle position.
This is wonderful to know Pete! We can't wait to get that repeater installed so that we can have the TPMS in front of us!! Stay safe friend, great to hear from you 😊
Thanks for the tip on the Peggy Sue's Harvest Host. We needed a stop for future travels which is beyond Bakersfield, but Needles would be too far. Great idea! Oh and thanks for putting out there the question about max pressure, hot or cold. Hopefully from your RV show you can get a solid answer on that. There are also some great comments from viewers too. And thanks for MORE DEXTER!
I look forward to yall's videos so much. You guys are so much fun. I have to get new shocks before our next camping trip. Right now my wife is traveling to Jekyll Island Ga, near Savannah to hunt for globes. Let me explain...years ago the fishermen used glass globes to float the tops of their nets. Sometimes the globes would come loose and wash up on shore. Jekyll Island has plastic globe hunts with a globe ticket inside. You turn them in at the Island visitors center and in exchange the reward you with a hand blown glass globe. People come from all over the country during the months of Jan and Feb to hunt globes. Pretty cool huh? Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
Hey Scott!!! Thank you so much :) This is so cool!!! We had no idea that this was even a thing, thank you so much for sharing. We hope our paths can cross soon! Stay safe 😃
Glad you finally have a TPMS. What I do is set my air pressure 10 psi below the “max cold” list on the tire. Once your tires heat up, they normally will go up 8-10 psi which will bring them to your max air pressure..
@@HappilyEverHanks my favorite place, I live up north in ct now. But when I go down south I stop at them. The brisket and the turkey are amazing. They are opening more. I go out of the way to stop at them. My wife laughs at me so much, But she Secretly loves it to.
So glad to see you stopped in my state of New Mexico to camp, even if only for one night. I am going to spill the beans here. New Mexico has 35 state parks that almost all offer hook ups. Mostly just electric and water. At $14 a night it can’t be beat. Actually it can. If you buy an annual pass you only pay $4 for W&E. If dry camping, it is free with the pass. Makes a lot of sense if you live in New Mexico. Next time you guys head back to California, consider scheduling more time in NM. Not far from Rockhound is another park called City of Rocks that is a fascinating story in geological creation. Massive outcropping of rock in the middle of nowhere. Keep up the great work. Enjoy your stories immensely.
Kyle and Renee, In one of the last videos of yours where you had the water Leak; you talked about the blue hose . On the lowes app they have an awesome metal hose i think you should check out. My sister in law has 2 and loves them. Safe for drinking water PSI 300
This is wonderful to know Monica!! Thank you very much for this, we will definitely look into this 😃🙌🏼 stay safe out there, we hope to talk again soon ❤️
I am really enjoying your videos. My wife and I will be picking up our first travel trailer in a couple of weeks. We are so excited and can't wait to get out there. I was noticing on your phone when you showed the overnight temperatures that it was January 4th. That is our wedding anniversary.
I was in the Army and stationed at Fort Irwin from early 2011 to early 2013 and I ate at Peggy Sue's a few times. The staff was very nice, the food was good, and the atmosphere was good, too. Love your videos and maybe one day our paths will cross somewhere down the road.
Ultra heat rv pad are rated to -11°f on an open belly I tested it on my open belly TT and with 15°f for 24 hours tanks did not freeze.(also all of our pipes like most TT are inside cabinets). How line from the tank to the pump did freeze but that’s because we turned off the pump. Left it on the next night and it would pulse every 20 mins and didn’t freeze
We had mixed success with our TPMS on Gumby! Love the blue on that truck!!! Hey yes!! Sharing is Caring…we used I40 in NM and Arizona… but you found a a great place …. 19 degrees there though?? Whoa but to be honest Florida is cold this weekend
HappilyEverHanks, thanks for sharing your adventures, it's fun exploring new places. The wife and I took our travel trailer to Pahrump NV to get away from the cold of Idaho. It was great, but had to come back and was a test with temperatures in the single digits . But everything went well.
Absolutely Redgie!! Thank you so much for your wonderful support 😊 so glad y’all are rocking the RV life as well! We hope to meet you guys one day out there on the road. Keep these great comments coming!!
@@HappilyEverHanks i never doubted dexter and we know he has you both wrapped around his paws lol. Loved your update and ney neys double glasses. Gotta give that a try.
Catching up on your vids. We will be investing in a TPMS in hopes of preventing a third tire failure which has caused our TT some damage to electrical and plumbing. Safe travels from TKC
You guys never fail to make me laugh. The TPMS repeater usually will hook up to your 12v battery and you should mount it between your tires and where ever your monitor is located. I have mine mounted under my propane bottle cover but I have a TT not a 5er. Your instruction manual should point you in the right direction. Enjoy Texas!
We have 6 cars, use similar crates for ours but put the crates in the truck empty. The transfer the cats, individually in a soft side crate, while truck is close to avoid escaping cats. Easier on our backs. Ours really are dog crates, Retriever size. Got them at Tractor Supply. 3 cats in each crate and they have plenty of room.
I just brought home my 1st trailer only an 18 footer but didn't want to pull in anywhere where I might hurt It... Was Almost Home and went by a snow plow it barely connected but Unfortunately If you go buy a snow plow and think you got rocks hitting yeah probably should pull over and double check it was a bummer
I just started following you guys a month or so ago. I stumbled onto you accidentally. I’ve been binge watching your videos. Love your humor and editing. You guys could be Hollywood editors. 😎 Travel safe
We always stop at In and Out while driving through Barstow but never with a trailer..this place looks great and harvest host sounds like a great option..once we get use to our new trailer🥰 I use to live out west but now we live in central Florida and love it!!

Love this! Thank you so much for your insight and wonderful comments ❤️❤️ Much love from the Hanks!!
Renee that’s how I wear my glasses and sunglasses when I drive. My family makes fun of me. Now I can show them this video and they will get how cool this is😀. Love you guys. Thanks for the many laughs!
That's right! 😃Thanks for all your support!
How AWESOME Angela!! Congrats to you guys :) Thank you for your awesome support, we hope to hear from you on the new video tonight!!
if the pressure on the tires call for 110 max that is cold and should be maintained. now if your traveling in 100 degree outside temperature you should drop the tire pressure at least 5 pounds per tire.
Oh good to know! Thanks Timothy for #helpingtheHanks
Beautiful sunset. Renee rockin the driving. Laughter and great fun. You guys rock. Keep taking us along!
Thank you Ron 😊This is such a great comment!! Best to you!
That is a great idea! We just need to learn how to actually do that! Thanks for sharing 😃
@@HappilyEverHanks sure thing!! Btw, we're (one of?) the ones that emailed you the photo from the show! Hello there!! Big fans! 🥰🥰
You guys are my favorites!! Your humor brightens my days!!
Thank you very much Judy!! You are so wonderful and kind 🤗❤️
Thank you so much Kenneth! You guys will love the travel life whether it's full time or part time! So much to see!
There is a dang science to these tires and we didn't learn it in nursing school 😆
You guys will love Rockhound!
LOL love this 😄🙌🏼 I thought I was the only one! It's great to hear from you both ❤️ #TeamSixEyes
We are pretty used to traffic noise and semi truck noise in general because Mike was a truck driver for almost 20 years.
Get lasik! I (Lynn) got LASIK a few years back and it's been great. No more driving glasses and no Rx sunglasses👏🏻
The state park looks great! We love the Southwest!
Yeah I guess Mike would also rock to sleep so easily with that background noise 🤣🙌🏼That's a great idea by the way with the LASIK! Stay safe out there guys, it was great meeting you both!!
We love Rock Hound SP! We stayed in 2018 and it’s one of our very fav and fondest memories! We didn’t want to leave! The stars were incredible!
For sure! That's so cool you've been there too! It was almost full when we were there!
They seem to stay busy. They were nearly full in the fall of 2018 (our 1st year of full timing). When people ask where our favorite places are, we always list Rock Hound in our top 5. It was quiet, our site was huge! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Thank you for taking us with you. Awesome.
Thank you so much for watching Betty Jo!! You mean a lot ❤️
I think it's amazing how you guys respond to all your comments and questions, kudos for that. That's going the extra mile for your fans.
You go the extra mile for us by taking the time to comment, we can't thank you enough! It's always a pleasure to hear from you Hugo 😊👋🏼Stay safe
You like the 6 eyes? 😎🙌🏼LOVE THIS! We are always so happy to hear from you Lisa! Much love to you guys, stay safe and stay WARM!!
Love Harvest Host! Used them driving cross country. Brewery, alpaca farm and an abandoned missile silo.
Such a beautiful spot! I think Dex should be carried around on a decorative platform on your shoulders the way Cleopatra was. He deserves that I think....Kyle I hope you feel better!
Thank you Lori! Dexter agrees and said we should have been doing it for years now!
I LOVE sleeping near traffic or truck stops, the sound is soothing 😌 😴
Love this Chuck!! Thank you so much for the wonderful information 😃
@@HappilyEverHanks trailer tires(ST tires) should always be measured at cold temp and set to max rated pressure. Truck tires can be ran at lower pressures for comfort depending on their weight rating.
Hey Carl. Ginger works for upset stomach and it's a natural remedy. You can get them in powder packages to drink like tea.
It was beautiful there for sure, we can't wait to visit again soon 😃Thank you, we are so glad you enjoyed!!
You asked about the traffic noise...
We'll park next to a refer truck that's got the system running all night.
In the Navy, my bunk quarters were right above the generator room/engine room on my first ship.
The constant humming of the engines were like rocking me to sleep every night!
Hey Chris! We would have to agree, that white noise helps for a great night sleep 🙂Take care, we will catch you on the new one tonight!!
I hope that knee heals up fast.
Goodness Adam, we hope you have a quick recovery!! We will see ya out on the road one day 😎🙌🏼
Yep, if you are still in FL, that cold weather followed you… 20’s tomorrow night low here near Brooksville. 🥶 Stay warms friends. Stay warm.
I think you are right Julie!! Hope you stay warm as well ❤️Much love from the Hanks family!!
@@HappilyEverHanks sometimes tie manufacturers have charts on their sites to calculate load, speed, and temp to see what is expected psi
Beautiful sunset on NM. Thank you for your Thursday videos. It makes my week watching NeNe and Carl. Be safe. Sending lots love and Air hugs
Aww Donna you are so wonderful ❤️Thank you for all your love and support!
All great advice, thank you so much for sharing! Love these tips 😃
Freeway traffic can be deafening especially at say… an I5 Rest Area - way not restful unless you’re dog tired. Far off traffic noise is still annoying, but you can make believe it’s something else. But we agree that wind is far more disruptive to a good nights sleep anywhere.
For sure! Thanks for watching and sharing 😃
The pressure listed on the sidewall is the max pressure cold, this is also best for max gas milage, and a tire 20% underinflated, looses 80% of its weight handling ability and will heat up much faster
This is great! A big help :) Thanks for your insight!!
So refreshing to see after 4 years you guys still get a sweet surprise! Thanks for sharing and as always making us laugh! 😃
Oh man that is certainly a drive Bud!!! Hope you have a great weekend 😃👋🏼 Catch you again soon!
Happy trails…..oh, and we LOVE the longer videos….10 minutes is not enough of Hank time!
Lol so true!! It has been freezing lately everywhere 🥶😱 much love to you! Have a great weekend ❤️❤️

Hope y'all are doing well!
The sunsets looked awesome! Can’t wait to head out west!
Best sunset! You'll love the way it sets over the mountain!
Thank you Erin!! :) Isn't it beautiful?? Carl is definitely doing better! Much love to you from the Hanks 🤗
For sure! Thank you Jason!! We appreciate this 😃🙌🏼
3. Those views you guys get to wake up too every morning are pretty awesome.
Love your content. Stay safe Hanks. :)

Thank you very much Cindy!! 😊 This means a lot! We hope to continue to hear from you on other videos, see ya out there one day soon!!
Carl is crazy goofy. Love your personalities.
Thank you Ryan! We hope to hear from you again 😃
And what is up with Southern California being so cold?! I was super pleased.👍
Here's hoping to see you all on the road someday!
Omagosh! Dexter is so beautiful! I have a Lynx Point Siamese myself, as well as, a Himalayan & 3 rescues. Cats ROCK!!
Aww, love that!
Thank you Shannon! We'll have to look into that RV park, thanks for sharing 😃
Kyle our TST Truck repeater works very well mounted underneath the front edge of the Solitude. Run power wires up through a small hole and fuse the red wire near it's origin at the panel behind the hydraulic tank.
Oh good to know, thanks Terry!
Highway noise is our white noise. Not a problem. Our cat carrier is about that size and has a cloth covered metal frame with a plush cushion and is screened but also has solid sides that can be rolled down to make it dark inside.

There always seems to be that "one rock" strategically near sewer connections. Thanks random guy leaving rocks at connection points.
That guy is awesome! 🤣
Hey @Carl aka Kyle, I find a cold brew to be easier on my stomach because it has less acid.
Good to know!
Great travel video once again. The Dex man in the crate. Like a castle for him. Take a peak at our Canadian Trucker convoy that went across Canada to Ottawa. It has been duper emotional watching these guys and gals. A few thousand of our American friends came north as well.
That must of been something to see! Thanks for watching and sharing😃
For sure! He is the star of the show! Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment!
Thanks for the laughs! As always, we look forward to watching you! Safe travels❤️
Have a great weekend Jenna 🤗Always a pleasure hearing from you!! Stay safe ❤️
Stay safe 😃
We have stayed at Rockhound State Park a few times. We love it.
Oh how awesome! We really enjoyed our stay there and can't wait to visit again soon 😊 Take care Judy ❤️
Glad you finally have a TPMS. What I do is set my air pressure 10 psi below the “max cold” list on the tire. Once your tires heat up, they normally will go up 8-10 psi which will bring them to your max air pressure..
Great to know Bill! Thank you very much for this 😃👍🏼
We did about 5 harvest hosts last year and enjoyed them all. Great video guys always love Thursday night, Thanks Hanks!!!
We look forward to visiting more Harvest Host locations! Thank you Scott!

Yes so true!
New Mexico and Arizona have the best sunsets. Love y’all and you videos. Keep them coming.
Harvest Hosts are so awesome! Some of our trips have been just to hit 4 or 5 with a recharge night in the middle.
Aren't they super awesome?! Love this!! Thank you guys for watching :)

We just found one of these!!! We have never been to a Buc-ee’s before 😱 #AMAZING
Oh nice! We'll have to add that one to our list! Thanks for sharing Kent 😃
Kyle and Renee,
In one of the last videos of yours where you had the water Leak; you talked about the blue hose .
Thank you so much!! Congrats to you both on the new travel trailer, how exciting!! 😊 We hope to hear from ya'll again on the new video tonight!!
Great seeing you in Tampa! Great idea a nice big cage for Dexter
So great to see you as well Kathy!! Thank you for your wonderful support, Dexter says hi 😻Hope to talk again soon!!
Hi Guys, Thank you so much for for you service in the emergency rooms!
Thank you very much Chuck! We appreciate your wonderful support 😊😊👋🏼
This is good to know Matthew! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to share 😃We hope to hear from you again soon!!!
We had mixed success with our TPMS on Gumby! Love the blue on that truck!!! Hey yes!! Sharing is Caring…we used I40 in NM and Arizona… but you found a a great place …. 19 degrees there though?? Whoa but to be honest Florida is cold this weekend
Thank you guys!! Yeah wasn't that crazy cold? It's chilly here too!! Miss you guys, stay safe ❤️
Love your videos! Thank you for always bringing a bright spot to our days. 😍
Thank you so much Dee!! This means a lot 😊😊❤️
Nice meeting you guys at rv show hopefully see ya on the road sometime somewhere
So nice to meet you as well 😊Thank you for coming to say hi to us!! We hope to hear from you again soon!!
We made the sprint across I-10 from Palm Springs to San Antonio in 2 days. Long days on the road are not fun.
They sure aren't Joseph!! Thank you for watching 😊 Stay safe!
I love Dexter. Hope he is lovin the new cage. Curious as he has more room less privacy. Want Dex to be a happy boy.
He complains sometimes but overall is happy! We do it for the children, right?
@@HappilyEverHanks i never doubted dexter and we know he has you both wrapped around his paws lol. Loved your update and ney neys double glasses. Gotta give that a try.
Catching up on your vids. We will be investing in a TPMS in hopes of preventing a third tire failure which has caused our TT some damage to electrical and plumbing. Safe travels from TKC
So great to hear from you guys! We love our TPMS, it's been some great peace of mind out on the road. Best wishes to ya'll! Hope to talk again soon
Thanks Wayne! We will hopefully have the repeater hooked up soon!
I was at Rockhound a couple years ago. I loved that place! Too bad you didn't have more time to explore the area.
Oh how AWESOME Jim!! So glad you were able to make it there 😊Have a nice rest of your weekend, talk again soon!
It made it up to a whole 7 degrees today! But yeah Minnesota is not exactly a winter RV destination haha! But summer it's heaven!
YES!! We always talk about you guys and how ya'll have insanely cold temperatures up there!! Miss you guys ❤️
Oh my goodness 6 cars?! That's pretty cool :) Tractor Supply always has some great finds! Thank you for sharing Elizabeth 😊Much love from the Hanks
So sorry to hear this Vicky 😕 Love that you just bought your first home on wheels though. Hopefully things get smoother for you!
😆😅🤣 Nay Nay is rocking the drivers seat
She certainly is!! Thanks for watching Bambi!!
I just started following you guys a month or so ago. I stumbled onto you accidentally. I’ve been binge watching your videos. Love your humor and editing. You guys could be Hollywood editors. 😎 Travel safe
Wow!!! Thank you very much William! It’s so nice to meet you, we really appreciate your support and hope to hear from you again soon 😃👋🏼 stay safe!
Would have loved to wave at you as you passed by Deming! Yes Rock Hound SP is a truly special place!
Didn't you see us waving!?
We always stop at In and Out while driving through Barstow but never with a trailer..this place looks great and harvest host sounds like a great option..once we get use to our new trailer🥰 I use to live out west but now we live in central Florida and love it!!
In and Out is the BEST!!! This is so great to hear Kyra! We hope to hear from ya'll again soon 😊
Beautiful sunset!
It's such a great sunset! Thanks for watching Carol!
hi there Guys! been through Barstow many times, have a safe trip.
Looks so cool there, wish we could have spent more time in the area! Thank you so much 😃
since you travel alot you should look into the bug banner that is specifically designed for 5th wheel traveling and super protects the front cap.
This is a great idea Andy!! We will have to look into this to keep it protected 😃
