    A Lawnbright discount code is now available for anything and everything on their site. Here's the direct link to Total Lawn, the product I used in this video: shrsl.com/4747w (aff) - use coupon code "mechanic15" at checkout to get 15% off. Thanks Craig!

      @@TurfMechanic Did a Lawnbright Subscription - Prevent. Don''t want to think about it, just get the products and apply them (also, don't know much about lawn care). Just did it yesterday.

      @@JoaoCoelho0 sounds great, you are their target customer so I think you'll be happy. Tip for you, every now and then the spray nozzle will slightly clog. If that happens squeeze the bottle when it sprays and that will get it spraying better again. I rarely have to clean the spray nozzle but it helps to rinse if off after each use to make spraying better the next time.

    Urea nitrogen is made in a refinery. The main downside is that it it requires an extraordinary amount of energy to produce. So much so that it is the second most energy intensive industry behind steel production. The refinery produces hydrogen from natural gas by steam reformation and then reacts it with nitrogen from purified compressed air using a catalyst made from rare earth minerals. Then it's hydrolyzed, separated and dried. To make things worse, a portion of the nitrogen can evaporate if it's not applied in the right conditions.

      It's reasonably safe to apply, and there are places working to decarbonize the production of it, but we would all be better off if people didn't use it on their lawns and left it for industrial agriculture.

    I used lawn bright this season for the first time I have one more application to do . I am very happy with the out come so far . I ordered for the whole year and they include a soil test with it . They send you a bag and a box to send the sample back . They then adjust their product to your soil needs. Sunday doesn’t do that . Also I tried the weed kill (pulverize ) it works great . Next season I will need a pre emergent to help combat the weeds next year.

    Started using Sunday this Spring and so far, it's been working great for me. One side of my house I believed to be dead and gone for the past 2yrs came alive and filled in great. Granted there were some weeds for me to take care of. I aerated and scarified my backyard last fall and seeded TTTF, KBG and TX Hybrid Bluegrass. My backyard is still looking amazing with a week plus of 95 degrees here. About 3 weeks ago, I added their Lawn Aid and Drought Defense to my monthly program for good measure. I don't want to jinx it but my lawn is still green and lush with no watering. I'm not saying Lawnbright isn't great/better but so far, I have nothing bad to say about Sunday products. Oh and a heavy mower doesn't touch my grass, it's being mowed by a Luba 2 and a Segway Navimow iSeries 😁

    I totally agree with you here in this video. I have also used both and would prefer Lawnbright. Nice work.

    Whenever I think of fish fertilizers, I think of the story of Squanto teaching the pilgrims to bury fish under their crops to fertilize them. Instead of that extra time and effort it took to catch the fish just for fertillzer, now we can just buy a bottle of liquid fish.

    • @TurfMechanic
      @TurfMechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, I've seen so many gardeners just drop a small fish in the hole before planting on top of it; can't easily do that with grass; these liquids we have access to are very cool.

    So, do you wait to add the fish fertilizer after overseeding?

    I live in South Florida I'm going to try Lawnbright for the first time weeds and brown patches out of control.

    • @TurfMechanic
      @TurfMechanic  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thats awesome to hear! I hope you like it a lot. Tip for you, sometimes the nozzle they provide clogs a bit. I have found it easier to pour it into an Ortho hose end sprayer and use that instead. Doing it that way you can control the flow of product out of the sprayer in case you like walking the lawn slower or faster. LB does have their weed wipeout product but it's just liquid corn gluten meal so if you truly have a weed problem you're probably going to have to chemically control it first before relying on Weed Wipeout.
