Seeing these stories from John Boyega and Ray Fisher really does make me sad. They have to put their careers on their line just for the next person to be treated with a shred of respect
Winning the battle but not the war. Makes me think of what Chadwick did when he was cast in a daytime show and didn't like how his character was portrayed. He decided that his values were more important and lost out on a steady income. The fruits of his labours were enjoyed by Michael B Jordan whose character was treated better due to his predecessors efforts.

Grace, Ray Fisher has been very clear with what he desires in resolution in his issues with Geoff Johns and Warner Media, all you have to do is read his tweets and statements. Everything you’re advising him to do he has done and to ask why he would come out now to address the abuse he experienced is callous, he probably feels empowered to be heard now versus a year or more ago and he probably needed time to process and prepare to deal with the threats he would face for coming out about this.

Ray Fisher didn't come forward right away because he's a young actor and his team probably told him that his career would be ruined if he did. Also he was most likely under contract for a certain amount of time, Two years later he'd only booked one job his contract was ending so he decided what's the point of staying silent. It's pretty straight forward.

In many ways, he could, but the thing is his method might be very similar to Kevin Feige. No matter what Grace said in the video, you need to realize Stargirl is basically his one-hand driving project, and it's well-received. Titans and Doom Portal also leaves his mark. Maybe he is that kind of shitty boss that treats his employees like shit, but if we think carefully, he is just another Kevin Feige that is even more self-centered. The problem is, when Kevin Feige fully took control of MCU, he is basically the only brain to decide the direction of MCU, and Feige might know how to find directors that he's certain that shares with his vision. When Geoff Johns took over, Zack Snyder is another big brain and all those DC actors are Zack Snyder's cast. It's basically two people that both have ego and their own view of certain things, collides in the same field. Then things become extremely ugly

I think that asking him to explain why he chose now to speak out is like when people were asking why women were only speaking out when the MeToo movement was at its height: it's very risky speaking out against you boss and their toxic behaviour, and Ray Fisher is not as well known as a lot of those during MeToo. Now people are talking about the movie in a positive light. He has the ability to say what he wants to say. When you are in a position where you are working for someone who is, as you said, a "functioning sociopath" you are risking everything.
Jennifer Misera spot on comment. When you are dealing with a functioning sociopath the can manipulate whomever they need and always seem to have power of influence over normal people. Ray fisher just wants to act. This guy wants power and because of that they always have more tools of manipulation to hand.

Considering fans are the reason the Snyder Cut is coming, I don't think there's any way Ray could be replaced in the film, held back from additional photography, or kept off the press tour without the same fans going absolutely apeshit. I also don't think Ray came forward with his allegations without talking to Zack first. He wouldn't risk the film based on selfishness.

Sooo about Geoff Johns...I love Stargirl and yet have no problem with believing Johns was a narcissist megalomaniac in this 💩storm. At a convention I was stuck in the snack line with a writer who didn’t renew his contract with DC because of Johns and his horrible controlling demeaning abusive management style. I loved his run on JSA, Flash, and Green Lantern but Justice League was just horrible.
Geoff Johns is an amazing comics writer and his DC Rebirth initiative gave them their best stories in the last 10 years. I wish he would leave movies and run DC comics.

I liked Ray Fisher in the film and wanted more scenes with Cyborg. Zack Snyder wanted Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and I want to see his original vision including his cast picks. There are too many people like Geoff Johns in this world, and I hate that people like him are given positions of power. It's interesting that people say Henry Cavill is hard to work with because I've heard the opposite. People have said he's pretty quiet and keeps to himself mostly, but they've also said he's super nice. I always thought people just misinterpreted him being introverted as him being a snob or arrogant. I used to work in television, and I know that you can't always trust what people say. I worked with an actor who people said was a jerk. I was so scared because of all the rumors I'd heard, but he ended up being super nice to all of the crew and would greet us every morning. After that experience, I decided that I would have to go off of my personal experiences with the actors.

I see a lot of people on social media giving Ray Fisher flack, calling him ungrateful and untalented and stuff, but considering the hostile work environment that he, his co-stars and other cast and crew have been subjected to with John's: I'm not surprised that the studio would stick their necks out for their golden goose of a sycophant - regardless of how incompetent he is.

tf theatrical actors are arguably more powerful actors than film actors.
Ray Fisher didn't come forward right away because he's a young actor and his team probably told him that his career would be ruined if he did. Also he was most likely under contract for a certain amount of time, Two years later he'd only booked one job his contract was ending so he decided what's the point of staying silent. It's pretty straight forward.

In many ways, he could, but the thing is his method might be very similar to Kevin Feige. No matter what Grace said in the video, you need to realize Stargirl is basically his one-hand driving project, and it's well-received. Titans and Doom Portal also leaves his mark. Maybe he is that kind of shitty boss that treats his employees like shit, but if we think carefully, he is just another Kevin Feige that is even more self-centered. The problem is, when Kevin Feige fully took control of MCU, he is basically the only brain to decide the direction of MCU, and Feige might know how to find directors that he's certain that shares with his vision. When Geoff Johns took over, Zack Snyder is another big brain and all those DC actors are Zack Snyder's cast. It's basically two people that both have ego and their own view of certain things, collides in the same field. Then things become extremely ugly

I think that asking him to explain why he chose now to speak out is like when people were asking why women were only speaking out when the MeToo movement was at its height: it's very risky speaking out against you boss and their toxic behaviour, and Ray Fisher is not as well known as a lot of those during MeToo. Now people are talking about the movie in a positive light. He has the ability to say what he wants to say. When you are in a position where you are working for someone who is, as you said, a "functioning sociopath" you are risking everything.
Jennifer Misera spot on comment. When you are dealing with a functioning sociopath the can manipulate whomever they need and always seem to have power of influence over normal people. Ray fisher just wants to act. This guy wants power and because of that they always have more tools of manipulation to hand.

Considering fans are the reason the Snyder Cut is coming, I don't think there's any way Ray could be replaced in the film, held back from additional photography, or kept off the press tour without the same fans going absolutely apeshit. I also don't think Ray came forward with his allegations without talking to Zack first. He wouldn't risk the film based on selfishness.

Sooo about Geoff Johns...I love Stargirl and yet have no problem with believing Johns was a narcissist megalomaniac in this 💩storm. At a convention I was stuck in the snack line with a writer who didn’t renew his contract with DC because of Johns and his horrible controlling demeaning abusive management style. I loved his run on JSA, Flash, and Green Lantern but Justice League was just horrible.

I liked Ray Fisher in the film and wanted more scenes with Cyborg. Zack Snyder wanted Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and I want to see his original vision including his cast picks. There are too many people like Geoff Johns in this world, and I hate that people like him are given positions of power. It's interesting that people say Henry Cavill is hard to work with because I've heard the opposite. People have said he's pretty quiet and keeps to himself mostly, but they've also said he's super nice. I always thought people just misinterpreted him being introverted as him being a snob or arrogant. I used to work in television, and I know that you can't always trust what people say. I worked with an actor who people said was a jerk. I was so scared because of all the rumors I'd heard, but he ended up being super nice to all of the crew and would greet us every morning. After that experience, I decided that I would have to go off of my personal experiences with the actors.
