"Khaatere," meaning "Memory" in English, vividly portrays the challenges faced by Iranian youth during the tumultuous 80s and 90s, and continues to resonate today. Many young people were detained, punished, disabled, or tragically lost their lives while trying to escape Revolutionary Guard crackdowns on parties and private gatherings.
This song reflects the collective experiences of my generation, deeply rooted in the struggles of that era. "Khaatere" is a poignant track from my 2020 album, "360," dedicated to the resilience and enduring spirit of those who bravely faced these hardships.
