I knew that Don Rosa was somewhat more popular in Finland than Sweden, but I didn’t release by just how much. It’s wild to see how many more people are exited to see him there.
I think Finnish Aku Ankka (Kalle Anka/Donald Duck) is still has the widest distribution of any weekly magazine in Finland, and is read weekly by about on sixth of the country, so Carl Barks and Don Rosa are household names. I've seen Rosa once in a Helsinki University hall, about 20 years ago, where the fans packed the whole place to the brim - so it's crazy to see him sometimes in pictures in American comic fairs where there are only a few people at a time meeting him.
Nice vlog. Him walking backsage, to end up in a room filled with applause, was almost cinematic. It could be a scene in a documentary.
These have been lovely to see. It's nice to see Don engage with his fans. Always enjoyed his work. Braw stuff!
Jean Sibelius, Tuomas Holopainen and Vesa Keskinen, couldn't have named more iconic Finns myself!

I think I saw what Don was doing with the queue and it was definitely worth it. 😆
4:05 Don’s reaction 😆
