This is Francis Raphael from Chennai It's good to watch this video. Anglo Indians are always outspoken. On the whole Brilliant effort taken by the Anglo Indians. ❤
Any one watching this who's families lived in the locality behind LIC building, mount road, Chennai(Madras). Many families lived there during 1950-1990, I had lot of friends living there.
Congrats ! An excellent presentation yet again. The contribution that Anglo-Indians have made in the field of Education can never be erased. Kudos to the team at "Anglos in The Wind".
Excellent representation of the community's contribution in the fields of education and music. The minute details about the schools and the neighbourhoods have made this film very interesting. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Richard O'Connor Sir and Harry MacLure Sir for making me a part of this wonderful documentary on the Anglo-Indians of Madras.
Thanks Richard & Harry for the research, effort & interviews on the Anglo's in Madras & surrounding areas. I have watched the other episodes & takes us back in time on how life was those days. Is it possible for you to cover Anglo indians in other parts of India? I seen Lucknow Chokra's doc's on YT, as well as a short doc. on Bow Barracks in Calcutta. Hope you can cover other places where Anglo indians lived. Thanks
The Moor market was burned down deliberately to give way for the ugly railway office. Peope who have no sense of history run the state unfortunately. It is sad that many Anglo Indians have emigrated to other countries,
52:29 I see she got Journalist job because of her political background , it was quite commonplace in those most journalists were like landed elites rather than fought their way through it.
I lived next to Italy Bakery and Moorthy uncle was so fond of kids.. he would give us free biscuits... They were the best..We could here them whacking the dough for the bread.. We used to take bread to Bombay and Delhi.. that's how famous it was..
