Doomsday is a great edition to my collection this is a prime example of what great repurposing of tooling is. I'm actually happy that they didn't give toe articulation to Doomsday

The cape was a big deal and money shot on the Death of Superman comic so that’s a fail with Superman not to have that cape with Doomsday’s in this 2 pack.

I could have sworn my Superman card said Death of Superman, so I just checked.
Nope.
Both cards say Reign of Doomsday though they are using Death of Superman imagery with the torn cape.
Inconsistent, I do believe these versions are from new 52, not the original death of Superman.

Not painting the torn shirt on Doomsday is an egregious oversight. The shorts look awesome. This could have been a great figure but like this it's just ok.

I’m torn because I really want the doomsday but I’m thinking McFarlane is going to give us a gold label version ,no way he doesn’t use that sculpt again to milk it . Which alludes to the problem I have with the 2 pack , I didn’t need the Superman and wish he would have just given us doomsday as a mega fig .
I doubt this gets a single release. It’s already reused from Devestator.

At the start of your video you stated that Doomsday was just a repurposed Devastator and that so far from the truth. Doomsday is most definitely a brand new body mold. The design of his torso and legs are totally different. From the size and shape of the spikes and not to mention his head sculpt. Plus the obvious size difference between the two should have given it away. Doomsday is much wider and way taller than the Devastator. The only reuse here would be his hands.

So basically Mcfarlane could have gone bigger and with a better paint job. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to make a badass Doomsday figure. Their figures are either hit or miss with few in between.
Question does Superman’s head come off?
With heat it can come off.
I think Doomsday is awesome, just needs more paint details.
Found this and a 2021 blue edition armored batman at the beach on vacation a few days ago. Love the doomsday and superman. Also found jokerized Christian bale yesterday and love that figure, the lighter color of grey look great but anyway great review as always.

My Doomsdays legs are pretty loose they've been like that ever since I opened the package. I am pretty disappointed about it! Wondering if anyone else had this issue?
Mine too, he holds a pose, but they are looser than I’d like.
How would I get the cards and stands off without messing up the background
Carefully open a corner, pull it out, then put the ripped part back flat
Don’t remove the plastic, just left a corner as little as possible, it will rip the background, but it will look good still
I did it but never used the background in the video
I trashed mine but it looked just fine
i wished the Superman had one of his arm with his skin and the rest all toen up like rhe coc and they forogt the S on his cape

This 2-pack is Super-disappointing. The Doomsday is a floppy mess! The hip joints are too weak, as well as the torso and shoulder joints. I got it earlier this week and I'm returning as soon as possible. Superman is okay but really needed fists and the mouth looks ridiculous. Teeth don't look like that! LOL 😂

Mine is loose, but he holds all poses just fine.
That doomsday is amazing just picked that up and Page Punchers Black Adam absolutely 2 of my favorite figures hands down

Yes i agree about that ya he does need fest what he going to do slap dooms day you see what ever body dont understand if its not batman its not going be perfect now if that was batman he would had fests and weapons. I like that he can change the body mold for batman for the night fall batman but comes to superman he dont give a grap like i ask he a while back to bring out the death of superman supermen and he but not the 90s version its today look for superboy and steel and eradicator why he couldn't bring all of them at the same time dont get it wheres cyborg superman the one i really want oh i for got its not batman thats how he is how the batman figures are good and superman not so much and be nice if can give superman heat beam to shoot out of hes eyes its like what the hell neca did the death of superman figure spot on they even gave he heat beems to put in hes eyes so you have him hit doomsday woth them am really tired of him favoring batman over all the other characters
Every Batman figure seems to have similar issues too.
I’d just prefer the all blue suited Superman head fir this. I may get this.

Love the battle damage Superman. Doomsdays face sculpt is awesome. Love the retractable jaw. Good reuse on both figures. Loving the green trunks.
Wish Superman was more damaged.

Devestator paint job wasn’t anything special as I recall. Excellent sculpt, needs better paint to match it.

That Doomsday is pretty amazing, i think it is a must have along with The Bane megafigure.

I am waiting on this to arrive by mail. I really wish they had included that daily planet base for this 2-pack because that would look amazing. I am not about to by that Ultraman 2 pack just for that base though.

@dHuntersReviews Was your Doomsday and Superman really loose in all the joints. Mind are, they don't have that ratchet like movement. They pose fine, but their limbs move like they are really old and have been played with for years.
Doomsday a little in the legs, still poses fine. Superman was fine.

nice looking 2 pack, but got the Mattel version and the MV BAF, so not keen on getting this one..what I really regret not getting was the containment suit Doomsday. the plastic that Mattel used on it seems perfect for the figure.
