Thank you doing whatever you're doing. I've great hope that this won't stop coming for at least a year. You've no idea how much of an assistance you're bringing to writers like me. Again, thanks Kumail.
There is ambiguity in the last misra also "जाती नहीं है सर से चमन की हवा हनूज़". He used "जाती नहीं" so beautifully, it can mean that "the wind of that garden doesn't pass over his head" as you said... but it can also mean that the wind does pass over his head and that is making him more anxious to go out but he can't go out therefore he just asks why this wind doesn't stop passing over his head because it is making his desire to go out more unbearable. So he wants the wind to stop passing over his head so he can be at peace in the cage he is confined. Just so beautiful!
I have been looking for translation into English and I must you have done a brilliant job by capturing the pathos and the essence of the verse it is not an easy job to translate Urdu poetry into English and be able to convey the beauty and many multiple meanings of the lines …. Thankyou
"jaati nahi hai sar se, chaman ki hava hanuz" One interpretation of this verse can be that the bird knows that she can never fly again, not only she's not allowed to fly, rather its impossible for her to fly. For this reason, the garden's wind shouldn't even concern her, for she can not relate to it anymore or wish for it, but still, she cannot forget how the breeze felt on her wings, how it felt to fly with freedom.
THANKS FOR ALL OF THIS BEAUTIFUL CONTENT KUMAIL!!!🌻❤ I would like to ask you something- I am a complete newcomer to 'the urdu world' and really need some guidance regarding the initiation of literature understanding , if you could recommend me some basics(books, media, etc.) then it would be a lot helpful.🌼
Thank you for all the love ❤ Sure! I made a video for beginners with some tips as well as resources in the description. You can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/d5qBRf5-SWQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EBMx6lAETEW-5Sch
Letting you have a reminder that you are doing absolutely amazing. Make it more recurring, as it's a solitude for a person like me!

Bro please try to translate as many shers as possible I am fond of urdu poetry and rely on people like u to understand

I think you should show the poetry lines continuously on the screen. That would make it easy for a person to feel what you are saying.
