I cannot believe how good this cover was. David Bowie is extremely hard to cover due to his unique vocal style and this was incredible. Michelle was incredible. What a voice! I love the guitar work. Playing guitar is not easy and moving around while maintaining sound quality on the guitar and standing up - very hard. Good job to everyone involved. School of Rock continues to impress me with these sessions. My favorite is still 'Train to Georgia'. They really have incredible talent. I wish these kids well when they get jobs in the music world. They earned it.
Singer sounded really comfortable performing and effortlessly delivered, even at what was probably a low register for her. Band was all on board with the jam - great rock moment

This cover is off the charts! The groove is tight. And those killer vocals lay over it perfectly. But for me the thing that really stands out is the arrangement. Its adds something uniquely infectious to a true classic. Just awesome! As usual for SOR.

To everyone else who has commented so far, I’d like to add that also you totally slayed this! Like seriously, you’re slayers. (My daughter would be so proud of me.) I love how you put your own spin on it, Michelle especially, and yet remained true to and respectful of the original. There’s no point in trying to be David Bowie. To make a great cover, you channel the song through your best self and that’s exactly what this group did. Love your energy on stage and as always you are all brilliant musicians and you perform like true professionals. And yeah, Michelle‘s performance was something to behold. So much talent. When I hear old geezers complaining about “kids these days“ I now point them to this channel. “Kids these days” are literally higher forms of life than we were, growing up in my generation. More socially and politically active, better athletes, better artists and musicians… the list goes on. There’s a lot of talent there on the stage, but more importantly there’s a lot of lessons, a lot of practice, a lot of blood sweat and tears, discipline and dedication to growing your craft.
