Yen they did many great animation for many things!
As much as I understand why other medias had more subdued versions of WWX's powers ( budget and the moral of the story being that rumors that hypocritical "righteous" people use to justify judging and acting in evil ways are a botch). The Dongua is so. Fucking. EPIC. Especially the his reunion with Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng. You can actually understand why he was feared as the yiling patriarch (even if in novel his powers were blown out of proportion due to said rumors.)

I know in this scene the spotlight is at Wuxian showing his demonic cultivation skills, but I feel like the manhwa did *both* him and Wangji justice. I remember in the manhua it was Wangji who took Xingchen's sword and soul pouch from Xueyang, then saying "you are not worthy of this sword." And I feel like that line fits Wangji more.

I like both the DOnghua and the Live action. There are missing part in DOnghua like in the temple they should confess but you can see them in Live action. In donghua Wei ying is so flirty to LAn zhan and even told him He likes Lan zhan and You can watch how LAn zhan tied wei ying and the juniors see it as if Lan zhan is saying "He is only mine" Lan zhan shoved away Wen ning because he is jealouse but you cannot see it in Live action. It is like filling the missing scenes both DOnghua and Live action.
Wei ying is also stronger in Donghua.

i really like modaozushi compared to untamed its closer to the novel but untamed is also good but because of chinese restriction some of the scene where not given justification

Besides the limitations of live-action and budget, the chinese censorship of dark magic & ghosts REALLY compromised Wei Ying's real powers in the drama 😩
