Thanks for the video, gave it a watch when deciding if it was worth the drive to take my 5 yo son and glad I did. Dont want to boast but both Binturong were out when we went yesterday, with one of them walking between boxes just as we got there. Also got a great view of the tiger walking along the fenceline right next to us plus leopards climbing up the poles. Sadley both baby rhino and cheatahs stayed indoors so could only see them on the live video on the screens
Another cool video, well worth spending the entire day their, you got some fabulous footage & the Cheetah Cubs was just adorable 🫶 some very fancy transition on the opening shots, I don’t think I have them in my editing Software 😜 intrigued to see what Polar bear action you have up your sleeves for next month 🤔 I told you before the Capybara here in Yorkshire are more Ginger because of the water 😂 Hope you Bank Holiday was fun, enjoy the rest of the week ❤🫶x
It took us all day to get decent cheetah cubs footage. The first time we went they were just sat behind that mound, barely visable 🐆. DON'T get into making fancy transitions, trust us! It takes up so much time 😂 We're a slave to the art though 😋 The polar bear action is very exciting... the videos won't be out until October though so we may have falsely advertised that 😅
Great content as ever, You are right about the Bintorong, I have never seen it out, we saw its whiskers last time we went. The Smooth Coated Otters seem to be elusive too. Great footage of the leopard she has a female cub who is now about 11 months old, last time i saw her playing with her mothers tail. Great to see footage of the marmasets, i still have not seen them out. The two female polar bears Flokie and Tarla have gone down to Jimmys along with Hope from Peak Zoo. Flokie is the mother of Hope so it will be a family re union and Ewa the other female at Jimmys is Hopes former companion from the Sweedish Zoo they came from. I am glad you are visiting Jimmys i would really love to see those four bears all together. Hopes male cubs are staying at Peak Zoo and not coming to YWP because with six bears the keeper says they are full. Also most of the painted dogs have gone there is only two females and a castrated male left, it makes me wonder if they are reducing their overheads a little bit. All i heard was that they were struggling after the pandemic so that is why everything was put on hold, no news since other than the rescue lions whiich have settled in really well. I picked up a YWP Top Trumps whilst i was there i thought it made for a nice exclusive suvenier of my visit, i really miss the guide books they used to have. I will be looking forward to your future zoo vlogs.
Can't believe we got such good footage of the leopard! It's the most difficult animal to spot at YWP. The silvery marmosets were quite active that day (although not as much as the lion tamarins). Oooh that's amazing about the polar bears, we'll definitely have to go see them at Jimmy's farm now. Does that leave Project Polar 2 empty now? (It was shut off when we visited). Crazy to think that they have been struggling after the huge investments they've made in recent years. Some really good zoo vlogs coming up soon!!
