Are you kidding me, this is criminal. No regulations equals catastrophe on any build. The government is at fault 100%. I live in Miami and every build needs permits, multiple inspections and heavy hurricane regulations.

The whole situation is shocking. Leaseholders should NOT have to foot the bill for this.

Thank you, Move iQ, for increasing awareness. I am directly affected by this cladding problem, living in Greater Manchester. Our management companies, insurers and freeholders are already increasing the charges, but are not doing anything to help leaseholders. People don't understand that it will affect everyone, including a pensioner or an investor in the UK market living abroad (e.g. REIT), fancy a repeat of 2008 crisis anyone?

Would love to know the number of affordable / shared ownership homes that are affected. Already overpriced and now with an additional huge liability attached.

Currently stuck in a one bed flat in London. Meant to move into a house in Bristol but lost it since we couldn't sell our flat due to cladding. It's horrible. It's affected all our big plans and we don't know how long we will be stuck here :(

The government and the developers should sort this issue out not the leaseholders

These people have my sympathies and I hope you get the outcome you need. I'm just happy I'm not in the same situation.
I will be honest as a country man now living in a small town with virtually no buildings above two or three storeys high that I wouldn't have a city flat if it was given to me. Give me our old back to back industrial workers houses and 50s built semis like mine every day of the week.

I wonder if government did not enact s3 of the old 1971 Fire Precaution Act was due to how many social high rise blocks were known to have inadequate fire and smoke stopping paths?

We are buying a new build on H2B. It will finish building in July. And we have just found out the building is cladding and when finished, it will need a EWS1 for us to get a mortgage on it. Can you tell me if it is a bad idea investing in a flat made out of cladding? Should we look for brick flat? Please help us, we are so confused!

Stay well away it took me and my family 2 years to get out, and was the worst experience of my life, if you can’t afford to move to bigger property at the min and think this is the way , I promise u don’t!!!!!!!!!!’

ALL tower blocks are not safe. Cladding or not. They should never have been buit in the UK. They need demolishing and proper housing built to replace them. In terms of flats 4 story's high should be the maximum.

Apparently massive builders donate to the Tories and so it's impossible for the Tories to represent us against them
