Even though I am an introvert the pandemic has caused me to feel angry and depressed. I can relate, Jay!!!I like being out and participating in all sorts of activities. Here in Pennsylvania there are so many restrictions life is so far from normal. Sure hope 2021 is better for everyone!!!!

I've cried so much this year, but some of the tears have been for heartwarming stories of people coming together and doing amazing things like Captain Sir Tom Moore or neighbours coming out to clap for the NHS.
Hi Jay. You nailed it..... anxiety, anger, frustration. I TRY to hold onto patience. I try to find something positive to do each day to create positive energy and keep the blues at bay. Most days I’m successful, but not always, but I don’t beat myself up about “those” days, I let them be. It’s an honest feeling, in a time and place that justifies far worse, so giving myself a break & just letting it be is okay, for a day. Be as kind to yourself as you are to others. ❤️👍🏻
Beautiful, Jay. I’ve been physically sick for almost a month now. This isn’t helping my mental health as I feel so hopeless. It is very difficult to focus on the positive. Health is so under appreciated. Take care.
I feel like 2020 was the year that wasn't. It WAS, but it wasn't. I feel like time was stolen from me. That makes me angry, but then I think about how lucky I am to be healthy and the ones I love are still here and healthy (minus my sweet Molly cat who passed in May, but she was 17 and had nothing to do with Covid - just made the hurt worse). We are burying 2020 in a time capsule in our neighbor's backyard on Thursday evening. We're all going to say something about our experience in 2020 (masked and distanced, of course) and try to symbolically bury this crappy year. Here's to 2021!!! I have no expectations, but I sure as heck hope it's better!
Burying it sounds like the best thing to do with it 😂 But I totally feel you, it's the lost year. Who knows what that means for the future but it can certainly feel frustrating now. Still, I'm grateful for my family's health as well and that COVID hasn't come knocking
Hey Jay. Hearing you say it...validates. I’m feeling the same way - my city went into lockdown again right before Christmas - so this meant no gatherings at all...not seeing family or friends, shops and businesses are closed again. It just feels like this is never going to end, but you’re right, it will. It’s been an emotional roller coaster and my anxiety is sometimes paralyzingly. We all have to hang in there, try to focus on the good things, be grateful...we’re doing the best we can.
Hello from Gensac. I have been having ups and downs as well. I am lucky to have a wonderful husband of 28 years to share my life with, but I am SUCH a social creature that I miss popping over to friends’ homes, hosting 37 people at Thanksgiving, hugging my son. Most days I am able to focus on the positive parts of my life and having someone that knows me so well has been super helpful with that. Love the idea of reaching out to others. Maybe it’s the caretaker in me, but that always makes me feel better. Take care and don’t freeze or blow away!
Helping others with their burdens is a great way to forget about your own. Hang in there, and hopefully we'll be back to parties and big Thanksgivings in no time 🥂
You are lucky you are in France. Texas has been locked down since March. Isolation for over 9 months is tough. The French evidently work together better than we do.
It's tough on introverts and singles. Winter is cold in Europe. I remember when I was very young. My mom would joke we're getting dressed to go to sleep. Many decades ago. We had electric heaters but apparently that wasn't enough in Spain. Being on lockdown for the most part feels like the same day repeating hence your ups and downs. The lesson we didn't ask for is here somewhere.... Love the streets of Paris videos! You're in Paris.

I love the quiet asmr parts of this vlog. My sister gets the vaccine today. I think we just need to realize that the future is going to be forever changed. We were lucky to be able to remember how carefree it used to be. Masks are here for a long time. Travel , well I give it 6 months before we see real travel restrictions lifted. In the meantime I try to find something positive each day and tk the something new. This week I am starting to learn how to paint with water colors. (No work for a week)

I think that Paris and France has take a far more positive approach to combating the Covid. Here is Sedalia, MO, we have idiots that refuse to wear mask in stores with the exception of Panera where it is forced or given a mask. But I have not had a boys night out with three of my best buds as we usually would meet each month. No meets after March!!! We do have cities in Missouri where masks are to be worn when walking on city streets and entering any establishment, just not in Sedalia. But I can have a solitary glass of wine or two, watch Ray's VLOG and live streams from Paris sidewalks. And I was in Paris for 4 days in July 2019!!! So, no complaints here!!!

I have mobility issues due to illness and all of the things I need to do take so much planning. I like making art, creating knitted things and cooking but trying to make myself motivated and interested and inspired is "getting old' . Yesterday 27 December we, in Bielefeld, had high winds plus snow, rain and low cloud moving furiously across the grey sky. Today we have a wonderful day of winter sun and I got to go out to shop and bought a spelt baguette which I am consuming at home now. Sleeping in can mess up your mental health if it becomes a rutine. Isolation / loneliness has been a real challenge when you live alone. Keep up the exercise as much as you can, video chat with friends and look forward to future adventures. Let's be grateful that we are being safe and will be vaccinated soon, let's hope. Lot of people's plans were delayed but at least we are alive to continue, lets be grateful. We should remember those who aren't with respect. Is tough in thouse conditions to be out you are brave man. Hahahahaha
I’m just gonna put this out there for fellow singletons. I think a lot of us who are isolating alone, venturing out from time to time but basically going home to literally an empty space apt is missing the banal intimacies of just hanging out together (not sexual). Especially when we are always consciously having to not touch, keep 6 feet apart! from fellow humans. Humans need humans. Dogs are our savings grace though. Stay safe. Love your looks, btw.
