Barbury Castle Hillfort Walk, Wiltshire, England

Barbury Castle is an Iron Age (probably around 700 BC) hillfort situated near The Ridgeway Path approximately 5 miles south of Swindon in Wiltshire, England. Our walk takes us from the carpark to the hillfort, half way around via the higher inner wall and return by the lower outer wall of the excavations. It is clear to see how the position and construction of the fort would have helped to protect the settlement in the central area from attack. The video also shows views of the surrounding farmland and the solar power park on the site of the former Wroughton Airfield.
