Lovely conversation. It's nice to see our society opening up to this. As someone who has been through therapy and continuously reads a lot about it, I will say that the 'therapists' Sharifah mentioned are not actual professional therapists. Many unprofessional people who have not studied a thing about therapy are advising people under the blanket of 'counsellor' because that's the minimum you need to practice, especially in some of our countries. Counselling and therapy are actually different - I have been through both- even if they may have the same goal. Anyway, talking to the wrong therapist as you mentioned could actually mess you up way more than you were already. So even as we seek mental support, let's do it with discernment. By the way , the internet also has created a free space for self claimed therapists, nutritionists, life coaches etc , careful there. Just because you're passionate about something, you're a natural at it and it makes you money doesn't mean you're qualified to do it.
Exactly what I was thinking....certificates for counselling are so easy to get in this country yet abroad it's one of those courses where you study from a degree -a doctorate.
I love her 'why' she's doing this because she feels the need to share what she's learned because people can't afford it or they don't know! This mentality makes her really amazing 👏🏽 and she is breaking walls! That is attractive! Haven't seen anyone so real like this lady! I love her .thank you crystal
Ohhh I always wondered why she has her shades on all the time but now I know why we really need to be kind people are dealing with a lot already 🥺 but I love her
She is ravishing! Her smile! You two are very beautiful. You made this so fun to watch . Educative too. Kept rewinding to take notes 📝. Sharifah thank you for what you're doing for us. many of us really do appreciate your selflessness. And today is the first time many of us have got to know you personally. Thank you crystal for bringing her .thank you sharifah for sharing
Ohh sharifah!! Always looking forward to hearing her speak! She's amazing! She's really standing her ground on educating us on things we hate to hear. Empowering other people, imagine if we took her approach to relationships, we'd all be happier. She is anti-mistreatment in relationships. I love that about her . She's the first therapist I've seen who's given men a voice. Keep on breaking barriers sis. you are inspiring us . Crystal good show. 👏🏽
I just feel in love with this interview. This is the truth people need to know.this needs to be shared ❤️ Thanks @Crystal & thanks Sharifah for sharing this beautiful reality 🥰
About the shades thing....at first when I had just landed on sharifah's handles,I thought may be she was this classy moslem chic who loves shades on full time but I got more concerned and I found myself going thru all her pics only to realize that it was like her signature so thats when my mind had a thought that most probably there's a reason behind that consistent appearance Thank you for being vulnerable in that area hajat and am sorry for whatever led you to that point but thank you for being such a strong woman on our behalf even when u have ur own struggles🙏,tusiima sharifah
I loved this interview! Sharifah’s takes are consistently insightful and you can see the passion she has for the work she’s doing. It can’t be easy for a muslim woman to talk about this stuff and I admire her resilience. It will get easier with time. You’re doing the Lord’s work and May Allah bless you for it! Thank you Crystal ❤️
Hi crystal, haven't heard about your visitor today but what I have picked before I finish the video is.....she says people don't want to be told the truth but 'she' does not also want to be told. She said this at the beginning of the interview.
It was such an honor Crystal ❤️
Thank you for having me
Pleasure was all mine ☺️
