  • This is a video response. Nothing more. These are my own personal opinions as to why this particular pistol did so well in the testing.
    Between the actual hammer doing its job with applying more force and the lack of ingress points. This gun truly did excel at the testing that has caused so many to have major malfunctions.
    Hammer fired guns at the point of the filming of this video have done better than the striker fired ones as four have been tested and so far 3/4 have really excelled with flying colors. I look forward to seeing more pistols of all kinds go through these tests!

    The slide in frame kept stuff off the slide channels so the velocity of the slide was good all the way around. It's the same reason you don't really have to clean CZs, just keep them oiled

    The P10C also performed well in the gauntlet test...it doesn’t have a slide inside the frame it’s just a CZ and that’s what makes them great..yes I’m a fanboy!

    Why do you call people that stress on safety, safety Nazi's? The more you stress to people about safety, the more people think about it. Don't ever get offended, or be condescending when someone reminds you of it, they do it because they care. Just words of advice. Good video !

    You old timers are so silly ! Hammer 🔨fired ! My grandfather , my uncle's , my father , my son in the usmc. Used those old darn 1911's ! Why did they get away from those old amazing handguns , and those old amazing M-9 berreta DA/SA. I love those classic and nostalgic firearms and have had and own , but there never going to take back the ease and use of a striker fired handgun ! I love colt and Springfield and Browning and berreta and love CZ. But those days are gone ! I love DA/SA , but most people will screw something up with the decocker and or safety and or the hammer 🔨 it'll confuse them , especially most un trained people . The ease of use will always trump a hammer fired gun ! Even though they truly are amazing guns ..... Great video though ! Do and use what works for you !

      Steven Werth couldn’t agree more! The wife and I are hammer fired people but that’s why we still have one striker gun, for new shooters. Thanks for the view!

      AsianKy1e thanks for your work and your time ! I'm really considering buying the P-07 soon seems nice ! I want a good utilitarian DA/SA . But I am Really starting to be drawn to the Cz pistols even the P-01 compact seems cool ! I've owned every make but CZ . Great work , thank you

    Good points. The internal rail system is another factor. It’s also just a really well designed, well built gun. CZs are very hard to beat and that’s really something because we are currently in a go,den age of handgun development and availability.

    The P07 was very well sealed. When dunked in the water most of the bubbles came out of the mag well.

    The DA trigger on mine isn't the best, but I sure like my P07.

    • @asianky1e30
      @asianky1e30  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      David Giles how long have you had it? Mine really smoothed out after 400 rounds and rightly 500 dryfires

    • @davidgiles9751
      @davidgiles9751 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just over a year - and about 750 or so rounds (and a bunch of dry fires). It's certainly smoothed out from how it was initially, but really isn't anything to write home to Mom about. Don't want to misrepresent it, as it's perfectly acceptable for a defensive pistol, but both of my Beretta 92FS' (full size and compact) have a better DA trigger. Overall, I am very happy with the P07. My next in line purchase will likely be the new P-10C (when the price and stock stabilizes).

    • @asianky1e30
      @asianky1e30  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      David Giles you know I can agree with that. The sig P series and Berettas have better triggers in the alloy variety. However I will say the alloy CZs are far better than their poly counterparts. Good luck okay nabbing a p10c! I haven't been able to even hold one yet!

      I was able to rent one at the gun club where I'm a member. My assessment is pretty much like every shooting review you've seen. My biggest gripe is the front and back strap texture. Way too aggressive for me. Like a Gen 4 Glock on steroids. However, a simple remedy involves just a little fine grit sand paper.

    • @rayflo2592
      @rayflo2592 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best method i find with DA, is force the movement DOWN rather than to either side... youre likely going to move some direction on DA, better to control it downward when aiming for center mass on a body.

    The biggest reason the CZ did so well is because of the internal slide rails. Other guns failed, like the P226, because the slide would not go into full battery. If too much material enters the slide rails or internals and slows or stops movement, it's game over.

    • @asianky1e30
      @asianky1e30  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would have to agree with that statement. The internal slide rails do seem to hide the rails a little more than traditional slide rails. But i do really feel like the internal slide stop cut. There are just so few points for foreign matter to get into the gun. They seem pretty reliable. No issues with mine so far!

      It makes total sense. I've have a P-07's and I shot USPSA Production with a P-09 for a year (should have kept it). 4000-5000 rounds between the guns and zero failures.

    • @IR-xy3ij

      What about the p226 clone and Glock? They both had external rails and seemed to do fine. If I remembered correctly, only SIG guns and m&p had this problem

    The InRange torture tests with the AK and AR came to similar conclusions. Keep crap out of the action in the first place and there won't be crap to worry about.

    I love the p07, but it still would've been 1 failure more than the zero 1. I have the rex cp and it's amazing, makes me shoot amazing, looks amazing and is obviously a survivor. still want to get my hands on a p07 though.

      A point that I think you didn't mention is the inversely mounted slide rails.
      Another major point is it is a CZ! :-) You expect such performance out of their products. ;-)

      The AK is also NOT 100% foolproof. It actually performs poorly in mud tests: th-cam.com/video/DX73uXs3xGU/w-d-xo.html (worse than the AR).
      ANY gun will fail if dirt gets in the chamber or firing pin channel, at that point even the "loose clearances" of the AK don't make any difference (that may help with mild fouling, but not heaps of dirt). A fully sealed system is always better.

    • @blackrifle3742
      @blackrifle3742 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i think its because the tolerances in an AK isn't as tight as other guns. its pretty roomy inside an AK, that's what my gunsmith told me an it makes sense.

    Aren't you a safety Nazi , since you chose to replace your striker fired guns with a. da/sa handgun ? You said you did that because you have to / choose to carry appendix ! And you want to be safer , since hammer fired are safer for appendix . Non -safety nazis don't worry about such things ! Just kidding, great video on the P-07.
