UPDATE 5/17/2024: Unfortunately Meta has removed this option for now. However, you can still grow your groups using this method I outline here: th-cam.com/video/g0oVpfJztKA/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
link seems to be made for instagram not fb groups? a mistake or similar method?
@@UnStropDeCredinta thanks for catching that, I've updated it with the correct link.
I dont have the option to choose "group joins" 😢
Yes it's a slow roll out, keeping checking back and it will be there eventually
@@imalvaroberrios Could you please clarify what kind of profile and/0r page association we need to have with the group and between the group and the page used to advertise? I´m pretty sure people won´t find the "group joins" option if they just try to adverstise a group from a profile and/or page that is not an admin or connected to the group. Thanks!
Maybe an answer to the question I´ve just posted here may help!
@@pacificons172 you have to be an admin of the group
Same! I had the option, then it disappeared and I no longer have it. So frustrating. I also don't have access to the option to prompt members to post/introduce themselves in the member intro set (doesn't appear as a feature). Makes it super hard to grow a group
I did all as required and face with a problem.. on Ad set level where I had where to drive engagement I selected on your ad - and I don't have such option as Group Joins at all. I am and my page admin of the group
Are you an admin through your personal profile or your business profile? Make sure you're an admin through your business profile and also make sure your business profile is connected to your ad account.
Hey Alvaro, great video - I have a question:
So, I have a personal FB profile and a business profile - currently running video ads that are performing well then being sent directly to the Messenger DMs in an automated question system with 3-5 questions. It works great to then sell people in the DMs.
But now we are wanting to send people to a group to nurture them more and also just give more value before selling and for them to have a hub where activity is going which will nurture them into eventually being sold to!
So of course my business page is connected to my ad account - for the FB group growth using paid ads, do I set up the group using my personal FB account or my business page account?
Then the next question is can the group be set up with my personal account then linked with my ad account?
I guess the question is the same just said differently!
Thank you for your help,
I appreciate it a lot
- Best,
Lewis
Also, just noticed that you showed you can track FB group request CPA. Is this sending people to a landing page with the group link CTA? As you were not allowed to promote groups before with ads.
Is this now allowing people to send people straight to the group?
@@lewis5599 Apologies on my delayed reply, I didn't notice your comment until now. You can create a group with your personal FB profile, but I would add your business page as an admin.
For your second question, it sends people directly to your group page. From there, it's on them to click the "join" button
Yes I don't have this option either. Hopefully will soon
Most people should have this by now so I would check again
@@imalvaroberrios No still don't have it 😞
I can't see the join group option as well. Someone on reddit said 3 days ago that this feature disappeared. Do you still see the group option on your Meta ad account? Thanks
Yes it has been removed, unfortunately. You'll have to do it the old way by using the Reach objective.
@@imalvaroberrios thanks
@@imalvaroberrios do you have a video on "the old way"?
@@rockballa86 Sure thing, right here th-cam.com/video/5tvK7sLbcY0/w-d-xo.html
@@rockballa86 Ignore my previous comment, I looked in a few client accounts and they do still have this option. It is removed from mine though, they might just be testing this in various accounts. Hopefully it will be back soon.
Is there a way to advertise your group to people who live in specific countries? I want people from the UK and USA to join my group. Thanks
Yes, you can select the countries at the Ad Set level when you're putting together the campaign.
I found the option to join the group, but the problem is when I choose the group, I receive this message--- The selected Page does not meet the requirements to run promoted group ads. Please select another to continue.--- Haya page is an admin in the group, but the group does not appear. Is the problem with the page? Should I try many pages or is there a solution? Thank you.
Hi, sorry for the delayed reply. I missed your comment. May I ask what the topic/subject of the page is?
This was the furthest I got out of any video, but came to this message: The selected Page does not meet the requirements to run promoted group ads. Please select another to continue.
Yeah a few people have mentioned running into this. Are you an admin of the page?
this option doesn't exist. Is there a way to get it? Via support or some other method?
Yes, unfortunately this option was removed. However, you can still go about doing it the "old way." I have a video on that here: th-cam.com/video/5tvK7sLbcY0/w-d-xo.html
