Oh My! I have huge collection of merino wool fabric that I use to sew Kids layering peaces for winters, but now I got that I can sew some dresses for me and my mom. 😍
I finally bit the bullet and got the Unbound Merino dress you are wearing with your code. I cannot wait to get it. I love to travel and plan to layer it for cooler climates, but we live in Florida, so I’m sure I’ll be able to use it until it falls apart at home! 😅
Thanks for the thorough description! I wish Unbound were still making dresses. Yours looks great on you. I recently got a dress from Wool& and now want to add more wool to my wardrobe.
Yay for wool dresses! Ibex no longer offers dresses, but Unbound is planning to offer their Merino wool travel dress seasonally, it's just sold out already for this summer. 🌺✈️ Heidi
Colors definitely affect my mood too. I'm trying to add more bright spring colors to my wardrobe. Trying not to buy black, but it's hard since that is the most commonly offered color. 🌺 Heidi
Hello Heidi, l'm french (Bordeaux) and i'm very enjoy to look yours vidéos. I like your féminin style and yours tips. Sorry for my english ,it's not well! Have a good family life ! Sylvie
Fab video 👏 I only have one base layer merino piece (for cold climates) and I’m now backpacking in humid climates and my clothes are proving to be very unpractical! 😂 Great to see someone who travels and mostly wears dresses too, my fav. I’ll certainly get some merino pieces for my next travels 🎒
@@KenshoQuest I'm going for the postpartum underwear from Yawning Mama now that I'm 8 months along! Thank you so much for giving her shop a shout out. I would have otherwise purchased bikini briefs in wool that weren't meant for the job.
Beautiful! I would love to get down to a smaller wardrobe. Just not sure how to go about it. Wool sure is amazing. The prices though hurt my cheapskate self 😄
The prices help keep me minimalist! 😉 When I declutter I think about keeping items that make me happy and getting rid of items that cause stress. Sometimes I will put items in a bag and set them aside for a week or two to see if I miss them. If I end up needing an item and take it out of the bag, I keep it. It's a neverending process! 😘 Heidi
I Always think, if it’s this cheap, and still making a profit, then what are the workers conditions?!? Try thrift and consignment stores - it’s fun and more affordable
@@MIchelle-cairn_mom I do thrift and consignment shop for 90% of mine and my kids wardrobe. We rarely buy thrifted shoes unless they are in practically brand new condition and undies and socks we buy new. On occasion we buy an outfit new, but very rarely. We buy new for my husband like once every two years. Even then sometimes I can find good men’s button up shirts at the thrift store. Looking at more sustainable options as I go and can afford them. Just this year I invested quite a bit money into Darntough socks because I was tired of buying new socks all the time. I have worn 7 pairs of them almost daily for 6months now. Have not shown hardly any wear. My husband and I farm 2000 acres, mechanic, and I work part time at a restaurant while raising our three kids without daycare. We have a busy lifestyle that often times doesn’t leave a lot of extra 💵 at the moment to splurge on higher priced items. We have to save for those things.
I've used merino a lot in my travels from dry, humid, hot and cold climates. I buy mine from Icebreaker. Very convenient but be aware the material can tear or have small holes multiple wears. Sad because they cost a lot
@@KenshoQuest Yes, I wear merino wool capes, sweaters, socks, and thermals in the winter, but I would like to replace my rayon & cotton blend dresses with merino. Thank you for the links! 🙂
I could never do this so great job! If you want to be slightly more stylish I’d try tucking your shirts into your skirt or tucking/pining them when you wear over the dress.
Brand new subscriber here...thanks! I bought Merino wool-blend short and long sleeves crewneck tops...a great travel and day to day layering item! 😁❤️ Other Merino wool items are on my wish list...
Thank you for this! I will be travelling to Japan with our baby so I really appreciated the breastfeeding clothing tips! I was wondering also, how easy or difficult did you find it to nurse a baby in Japan?
Japan is very family-friendly. In places like shopping malls there is often a baby care room next to the bathroom. It often has a breastfeeding area with comfortable chairs, diaper changing area, and place to heat up bottles.
Since I retired three months ago, I just realized that I’m a uniform person. I wear the same dress over and over again. I going to purge my clothes now. I don’t need all of my clothes as much now.
Unbound Merino now has the long dress in the color caramel. I bought the black this time as I got the green dress with the Unbound Womens Wool Capsule. Can you tell me what company you purchased your black cardigan sweater from. Have you bought any dresses from Wool&?
Hi! I was eyeing that new caramel color. My black cardigan is from Ibex, but I don't think they offer that style anymore. When it's time for me to replace it, I might get one from Humbird: humbirdwool.com/products/merino-jersey-adult-open-wrap-cardigan-lw-mxt?_pos=1&_sid=a10b0b30c&_ss=r I do have one dress that Wool& gifted to me. It's a light color and tight fitting, which wasn't the best choice, as underwear lines show through. Most of their styles are much more loose fitting.
But how long have you had the wool dresses? I heard merino wears down fast. Despite their versatility in terms of weather compatability, they aren't really an 'investment' IF they don't last. More like a treat.
Hi. Almost all of my wool dresses are in great shape. My two Ibex dresses (100% wool) I've had for 6 years. I took them out of rotation for a couple years while my babies were young, but when they are part of my wardrobe I wear them weekly. The black Unbound dress I show in this video I've been wearing every week for the past year and it's still in great shape. I did snag one of my dresses recently on Velcro. It's best to keep Velcro far away from wool! My only dress that looks like it needs to be replaced after a year is my blue Wool& dress, which has a fade/stain on the front. 🌺 Heidi
What do ya do for underwear? I was looking at unbounds mens underwear but debating how many to buy. Everything I am reading is people wash from 14 days of use for one to 30 lol
For men specifically but women too (incase I take my friend). Okay that makes sense to me on the washing. I will look through your vids to see washing tips and care. Thanks for the fast reply!
I've been fine with just Merino wool underwear. I am planning to try wool bike shorts by Simply Merino soon: www.simplymerino.com/products/bike-shorts-1?variant=43749411782868
It’s 100% Merino wool! I mended it a bit recently, where the stitching was coming apart along the seam. Other than that, it’s held up wonderfully over the past 5 years. 🌺✈️ Heidi
Yes! Wool& was so kind as to gift dresses to my daughter and myself. I have just the one dress from Wool& so far. Considering getting a pair of leggings. Do you have pieces by Wool&? Here’s the video where we are wearing them: th-cam.com/video/-Ti8vN3pVpc/w-d-xo.html
Yes! The Metamorphic dress by Truly Charis works for nursing. It's best to message the Truly Charis page on Facebook to ask about ordering it. Also, Homespun by Ruth offers a Merino wool nursing dress. And some of the styles by Wool& work. All of those are linked in the description box below the video. 🌺 Heidi
I'm glad you asked. I found a few options recently. Woolly - Henley tunic top, every day romper Woolx - Charlotte top, camisole with shelf bra Wool& - Clara, Ellie, Brooklyn, and Amayla dresses Boob Design - go-to bra in merino It's certainly an investment. Hope this helps.
