It really is ideological colonialism, pushed by the very same people who condemn the colonialism of the past. The hypocrisy would be hilarious if it weren't so apalling.

The "clump of cells" fallacy was used in the 1970's. People wanted me to kill, my "clump of cells". No, no,no way, he was my beautiful, beautiful boy:)

I think Cardinal Robert Sarah said something about moral colonialism/imperialism on Africa.

In 2019, my parish was blessed to have Fr. Merosne present a Lenten Conference over 3 evenings. He's a powerful, gifted speaker.

"They see the developing world as a cultural vacuum to be filled with their ideas, or fallow land to be cultivated with their ideologies. What is most disconcerting is that they approach us from a place of perceived superiority and thus with high expectations of compliance by African governments. This is the uncomfortable dynamic of modern-day ideological colonialism which has developed between Western donors and their Developing World recipients."

I LOVE this priest, I hope he becomes archbishop. The way he worded it was beautiful when he mentioned equality. I never thought of abortion that way but it’s soooo true, when we let some babies live and allow others not to get the chance to live, there’s NO equality in that

America: Its so difficult to raise a child in this economy. We're overpopulated anyway. Everything is so unstable and crazy everywhere I just can't be a parent right now, I have to make the right decision for my future.

Without “colonialism” the tallest buildings in Africa would still be the ones built by termites.
Take away the contributions of Europeans to Africa and what do you have left except starvation and tribal war.

I don’t think you Can ensure that… there are good things from colonialism, and there were and are many bad things too. Colonialism is often used as an excuse to blame the problem of a nation to a nation that was formerly oppressing them and avoid looking inward for solutions. However, this new form of cultural colonialism is very demeaning and aggressive in its own way, there may be good things to imitate from more materially wealthy cultures, but perhaps not all of it is good and that is the criticism on point.

what is the name on that beer? All I could see was 'quid cath.' 'What universal?' 'How much all'?
'how much for a catholic'? 'Liquid for a catholic'? Please tell me what I'm missing. If it's something Catholic, I'd like to get that beer.
