- In this video, i will be making 2 aluminum air batteries with Salt Water ( NaCl ) as electrolyte and KOH Aqueous Solution as Electrolyte. The motive here is to find out which one is superior in battery backup as well as the power output.

So as you are using KOH Aqueous Solution as Electrolyte does it let off give off any toxic fumes and is the solution that is left over in the battery toxic or corrosive?
Unfortunately I don't think the low views are coming from this I think alot of it came from all the "free energy" vids you started doing a while back and it was for quite some time too. Yes the views came from either the ones who know electrical and then stopped watching and the ones who didn't know you tried teaching them something false and they later realized. And I truly feel thats what hit your views the hardest as 95% are here to learn and not so interested in getting their time wasted. Because yes it's a lie... maybe a white lie but still a lie and electrical is no joke steering people wrong as many have passed away trying to "learn" things without truth and proper explanation. I had wrote you almost 2 yrs ago about that and losing followers and trust me first thing I noticed was your views not just this video but most all. You can turn that around but you ll need to teach people and be truthful state facts rather than "oh that topic won't get views" to be honest I think most here would love to see the inverter truly done OR you just don't know how to or know it won't work.....
Gotta get out of that rut if you want to earn the views and followings back.

You have brushes- I have a few sheets of grafoil.
I suspect the process is bound by the amount of O2 that will diffuse through the carbon. Give carbon more air surface area.
* parallel strips of grafoil on the outsides with a strip of aluminum in the center.
I suspect the buildup of Al(OH)3 will quickly spoil the chemistry... no way around it - you have to get rid of the corrosion by-products.
* drip fresh KOH into the top and slowly drain the solution from the bottom.
Design:
2 @ 2mm x 25 mm x 250 mm grafpil
1@ 2 mm x 25mm x 250mm aluminum strip.
1@ 3D print an enclosure that keeps the aluminum away from the grafoil.
I would try an acid in addition to the base and neutral solutions.
I would try Potassium Chloride.
Any acidic potassium salt should do - potassium bisulfate is an acidic salt.
I would expect KOH to work better than an acid...

WARNING, its not recommended to switch a multi-meter to another setting while its still connected to a circuit. First disconnect circuit, next set multi-meter to what you wish to measure, and finally, connect multi-meter to device or circuit to test. Otherwise, excellent video! Congrats!

The homemade battery version is great
I believe nominal voltage with nacl is 0.7 volts. You have 3 so, 2.1 v. I am guessing the initial voltage jump is due to some contaminants. Did you use that syringe before?

I'd like to experiment with collecting the hydrogen offgas from aluminum-air batteries to feed back into a hydrogen cell. I don't expect a huge volume of hydrogen to be collected to run the fuel cell, but if you can utilize the waste product, that's always a great thing.
That's right and even better if the air battery is bigger.

Salt is less aggressive than KOH for aluminum, that is why the reaction is much slower and produces less energy.

I have a question on one of your old videos about 4yrs back I just discovered your channel and it’s really amazing all am looking for is here
The question is about a video of car alternator with a dc motor
Am working on a project to build a generator from alternator and dc motor
My question is
1: how can I power the motor when there’s no electricity ( I want to use a 12v battery) how can I do that
2: assuming I start the motor with the battery how can I break it down so that the alternator will continue to power the motor
3: how will the battery disconnect from the motor and start charging with the alternator while it’s power the house
making perpetual motion machine is impossible dont waste your time.
Try to stabilize the electrolyte with some solid like sand (i dont know, just speculating). this will improve the battery endurance.
The electrolyte should remain. What’s being burned off is the water because of the exothermic reaction. Should just need to only add water. The only out gas is hydrogen and steam from the heat.
I was thinking that also, such as a flooded battery uses distilled water, the (acid) still remains, point being here, you would not want to add more sulfuric acid to a flooded battery?Anyone?

Voltage reduces on NaCl battery because in that electrolyte aluminum forms oxide and hydroxide with deposit on the aluminum plate slowing the reaction

What would happened if you use Graphen instead of activated carbon? More power or less because I presume thats where solid state battery and super capacitors get higher voltage
Secondly i noticed a draw back that u have to refill it each time its not longer active and thirdly the electrolytes mixture eat hell out of the aluminum
So I'm thinking why not use Polymer(conductivity plastic) to replace the aluminum
Secondly what if electrolytes has a separate tank like that of fuels tank in a vehicle
and make a Chanel to pipe in way it go to the battery cell pack so that an electric car can even travel upto 4,000 miles or higher depending on the electrolytes tank application. Why the battery itself might just be 50kw
But can run upto 4,000 milles due the fact that the electrolytes that supply energy is from separated tank wouldn't that be possible or I'm just imagine myself?.....
I believe that graphene should definitely perform better than carbon brushes since their conductivity is excellent.
It's true that i have to refill it each time, but i still made it to do some important tests before proceeding any further ( bigger model ).
Next, i m not sure about the conductivity plastic.
Next, it's true that having a separate electrolyte tank will solve many problems and is quite practical. That could be my final design for my Aluminum Air Battery 😜.

The reason of poor performance of NaCl elctrolyte is the passivation film of Aluminium Oxide has very high resistance. And the KOH electrolyte has a pretty significant flaw of the continuous chemical reaction between KOH and Al even when you do not draw any current from the battery, that is wasteful. A proper primary battery design should be such that all the consumables are consumed ONLY WHEN the battery is actually doing something.

I think you put to much liquid on NaCl battery. The liquids merged at the top and shorted the battery.

Only clean water needs to be added to the battery. The density of the electrolyte rises unnecessarily, which is undesirable.
Otherwise a perfect experiment! Improve the battery cells, and the entire oil cartel will fall to its knees!
