  • i wanted to shed some light on what it's like seeing a therapist and dietician as part of eating disorder recovery. DISCLAIMER: this is all based on my personal experience, as well as stories shared with me. my opinion is just that, an OPINION, and should not be taken as gospel.
    also, i didn't really phrase the part about which professional i believe is best if you can only afford one, so here's a little better description: if your eating disorder has made you feel like you don't even know what is "okay" to eat anymore, see a dietician. if you are relatively knowledgeable about nutrition but find yourself having uncontrollable (key word = uncontrollable, you feel like someone else takes over when the behavior happens) binges or obsessions, see a therapist. if you can afford it, SEE BOTH!
