Be proud of yourself. You went through every type of pain, family issues, trust issues, heartbreak, insecurities, depression, etc. You went through it all alone, but never gave up
Growing up in an Asian household, the only target in my life was to get into college. A prestigious college. The road was long, hard and frustrating. I was sad, broken, hopeless for so many years. My parents couldn't accept me for who I am. I didn't know what to do. I saw no hope in my future. I was depressed, soulless. I started to lose hope towards me ever heading to a decent school and fulfilling my parents' expectations. One day I came across this song by Joey. Depressed, hopeless, I swore I would be back one day when I achieve what I want. Fast forward 1 year later, I got accepted into the school which people around told me that I could never attend. I thank God for his blessing. And don't ever lose hope people.

When this song came out I was about 2 months away from getting sober. I didn’t have a vehicle, no license, no home, nothing but the clothes on my back. I’m about to celebrate 1 year married, 1 year as a home owner, and 3 years as a business owner.
If you’re reading this , send prayers, love & respect to the Bryant family as they will need it in such a hard time . God protect us all & let our souls Rest In Peace . Rest In Peace King & Princess .
this is a perfect example of people who no nothing about music. Joey's old music fit a certain culture I feel that, it was a great style. He was also making no type of bread making that music and times are ever changing. He's going to have to switch it up a bit but still stay true to himself if he wants to have money and make music. Making music you LOVE and making the money you want is not easy. Not many artists can get that opportunity. Especially where Joey comes from he's been on that NYC hip-hop style for long enough, 5 years of doing that shit you'd probably want to change it. People who don't make music will never understand and will just say "selling out" yeah I'll sell out to make a better living, this song is still good either way.
"stay true to himself" seeing how hard he snaked STEEZ, i'd say he hasnt stayed true to himself at all and has sold out to the highest degree... there's still a decent track here and there from him i can bump, but his projects/overall consistency/consciousness is nothing like it used to be before, fair enough if you're a fan of his new style, but to me I remember being in my last year of high school when 1999 dropped, me and all my high school friends were heavily into Wu Tang, Nas, Biggie, big l, rakim and the likes (we still bumped odd future, a$ap and stuff but were more into the older stuff) as soon as I heard 1999 the first time I was blown away, this guy is the next big thing, the reviver of REAL hip hop, the potential was insane.... but he chose the route of taking over Pro Era after STEEZ's death, pretending to be 'spiritual/conscious' making references to '47shit' while never displaying the slightest bit of that in his music, if he wants to make money and appeal to a wider audience fair enough but there'll still be his fans from day one who are going to be a little disappointed of how he turned out... not saying he owes us or anything, but yeah, just a little disappointed, b4.da.$$ wasn't too bad, didn't amaze me a few songs i really bumped, but it's hard for me not to say he's sold out
I love this song, Idk why a lot of your hip hop heads want someone to always make the same type of music. Joey Badass never said I'm a boom bap rapper only. The way this song radiates so much positive energy. It’s so refreshing from all the negative music that has been made in recent years. This song really gives me that motivation to keep on pushing myself to levels I didn’t know I could reach. I’m at a very dark place in my life right now. I feel empty and haven’t felt the feeling of success or accomplishment in way too long which is what holds me back way too much, but I hope I get it figured out soon. I really like how everyone has shared their success stories or how they’ve gotten out of dark places in their life, in this comment section. It makes it all better and gives me hope. We’re all gonna reach our goals and be blessed one day 🔥🔥
Y'all don't know the devastation of loosing a homie, especially one that built the platform you stand on and lead you like a brother, one that took his own life and one that millions of people mourn and remind you of every damn day. Every fucking damn day.

He doesn't have to be grimy all the time. Let this man expand his horizons. Just because a song is popular, does not mean it's commercial. People grow creatively. He's going to make stuff for us heads and for the casuals.
hell yeah man. hes finally feeling him self foreal and feeling truly positive and promotes a more positive message instead of rappin about his struggles. inreally think AABA is gonna be revolutionary. now that he has the correct positive outlook and all the skill in the world
Damn, this song reminds me of some harder days I went through with a close friend of mine.. /,: I thought we were brothers man, watch who you hang around these days.
Rawbbing Mysellph When? What song? I don't recall hearing his previous songs on the radio. Even if a song of his did play on the radio it wasn't enough for me to remember. He needs more radio play in all 50 states. :)
Rawbbing Mysellph Okay and I'm telling you that I don't recall hearing him in the radio. You should have said you didn't even know yourself, I wouldn't have bothered asking you anything.
This song got me through nursing school and LIFE in general. I made a stupid mistake and got myself in a situation that could have ended my chances of getting licensed. I spiraled down to rock bottom. The whole thing changed the way I move, and my perspective. Graduated July 2019, bumped this song screaming my lungs out. This song means so much to me, it got me through everything.
Joey has come a long way.. I remember when no one knew who he was, and just a few days ago I heard him on my local Hip-Hop station all the way down in North Carolina. Word up to Pro Era and all the Beast Coast rappers.
@@dasit6034 ASAP rocky and Travis Scott look alike and Joey badass kinda looks like ASAP rocky or both of them just look like rocky either way they’re goats
Listen to Mr Wonderful, actually had a lot of great songs and he stands out from other rappers. Just because he's comical doesn't make him "ass" or a bad artist, he has fun in his music.
This song has so much meaning on how you can be a nobody and end up a somebody. How you can feel like you will never reach that point of success in your life until your finally successful. This song is one of my motivations to reach my goals. Joey Bada$$ is so inspiring
This song hit at the perfect time dude. My life has been nothing but blessings after blessings I just need to be patient and greatness is always coming🥹
I used to be so constipated At times I thought I'd never make it (Come out, come out) But now I'm on my way to greatness (Come out, come out) And all that ever took was patience
First time I heard this song was about 3 years ago too. I was having a rough time with life. Graduated university for years without a job, just recovered from an illness that almost took my life, my parent were really having a bad time with their finances. I had no hope, twas just a mess. I just recommended this song to someone and I came and searched for the song on TH-cam only to see all these comments of breakthrough and still some comments of people going through alot. I want to assure you that life gets better. You are depressed or discouraged because you know exactly what you want and you have not gotten it yet. I'm here to tell you that the stars will align for you. The world will give you exactly what you think/believe you deserve. Never give up. I did it. I'm not there yet but I'm close. I'm not where I used to be either.
+Ryan Foerstner lol how is he blind from one fun track he made plus its not about money and hoes but about him finaly feeling safe and comfortable in his life. L
+Oats Autahi Joey dropped over. 150 songs Including Features ..and for 2 songs Teach Me and Devastated they say he Sold out 😂😂 if anything he is one of the most Consistent and versatile artist in the Rap Game RN
When finally you leave retail for a good job, finally buy a house despite almost being priced out, are almost done your degree. This song helped a lot.
Mon, April 27th 2020. It's 2:37 A.M. and my mind is racing. I'm a senior this year, I graduate in less than a month. I just asked out my crush since 7th grade, I'm looking at buying a new truck. I'm still waiting I start my shop and make my first million. I'll be back one day... on god. When I'm on the top bumping this song, for all the ones who said I couldn't do it, to hear. Mark my words
Back in 2017 I listened to this song literally hundreds of times, grinding every free hour of every day for years at that point, trying to find a way to escape my soul crushing corporate job. I moved half way around the world away from friends and family just to focus. I was so damn stressed out for years...self-doubt, tears, no one taking me seriously, financial worry everyday, loneliness, sleep-deprived, missing out on memories with loved ones back home... just exhausted. Fast forward to mid 2019, I ended up getting laid off from that soul crushing corporate job (blessing in disguise). So I decided to go all in on my side hustle and just a few months later, the damn global pandemic happened. I was stressed AF. But I honestly didn't have it in me to slap on my happy face and start job interviewing again. I was maxing out all of my credit cards & emptied my savings. Throw in some health scares , deaths of loved ones, among other personal things, and I was at yet another low point in life. Fast forward to 2022, I have a growing business that generates way more income than my corporate job, I have the freedom to travel & work from anywhere in the world, earn money in my sleep on autopilot, in the best shape of my life, train muay thai & jiujitsu almost everyday, go on grand adventures, and spend quality time with family and a select group of friends. This year alone I've been to 8 countries and crossed off multiple items from my bucket list. I'm just so damn grateful. Goals can be a mirage because they constantly evolve as we do so. Sometimes we forget to pat ourselves on the back once in a while. I guess writing this right now is a bit of a pat on the back. Don't stop pursuing your dreams, but don't forget to cut yourself some slack along the way as it doesn't go exactly as planned -- it rarely does. I'm at a place now where I'm ready to level up again... I still listen to this song on repeat - now envisioning even greater goals, and hope that I'll eventually come back to this comment thread to write about more blessings, trials, and tribulations that this song has pulled me through. Until then, GET AFTER IT. Hoping everyone here all the blessings & success 💯
Loud Tyler. Don't mention Post Malone for a "Competitive" standpoint I was Pointing more so to Joey Projectory Compared to his other videos. Post Malone Smh

You jam with bada$$ cause you see how his music evolve over time and go along with his journey... migos weak ass pop music do nothing to better the world except provide music for thots to dance to
I remember being at a Flatbush Zombie show and mid show they asked us if we wanted them to pull someone out from the Pro Era group and of course everyone got hyped. After 10 mins of waiting this song started to come out and joey slowly walks out from backstage and gives one of the best performances ive ever seen, when he came out the entire crowds energy went insane and when the hook/beat dropped the whole entire crowed was jumping
This song hits me differently. My whole house got burnt about a month ago, leaving me homeless, and I lost everything, so this song's really timely... I only heard it today, but just released that's been 6yrs old already. Anyway, am trying to put my life back on track. N I'll be here next year with update. +Super Mario he's been a downward slope for awhile now. it's sad because he could do some really dope shit
Nobody said that he cant expand his horizons but cmon man this sounds like some kid cudi shiet

Pro Era 4747 dude has so much skill
Sean S. He's boutta take off once AABA drops
hell yeah man. hes finally feeling him self foreal and feeling truly positive and promotes a more positive message instead of rappin about his struggles. inreally think AABA is gonna be revolutionary. now that he has the correct positive outlook and all the skill in the world
Pro Era 4747 I feel him more as a trapper but I feel you
Pro Era 4747 yeah, him, logic, kendrick, and cole are this generation's true rappers
Damn, this song reminds me of some harder days I went through with a close friend of mine.. /,:
I thought we were brothers man, watch who you hang around these days.
You right about that my friend.

Cody Johnston /,: fucking right I feel this on a different level.. years of so called brotherhood lost, never ever be fined back

This is LIT! This song is really cute and I love the vibezzz! I'm glad Joey is getting radio play, he 100% deserves it!
💯💯💯
wasn't he getting radio plays before??
Rawbbing Mysellph When? What song? I don't recall hearing his previous songs on the radio. Even if a song of his did play on the radio it wasn't enough for me to remember. He needs more radio play in all 50 states. :)
i do not listen to the radio.. that's why i asked in the first place
I always play this song when I struggle then become victorious 😌.
Idk why, but I get an indescribable vibe from this song.
0:30 this drop always gets me

I remember liking this so much when this came out fr. I want to listen to this song for the first time again lol good times man when this dropped
Hope the dude blows up major way. Joey Badass, Vince Staples, Action Bronson been one of my favourites for longest time. Re-incarnating hiphop music.
dude, joey is already one of the biggest rappers in the game lol. I agree with the rest for the most part though
i fucking hate bronson, he is so ass
Listen to Mr Wonderful, actually had a lot of great songs and he stands out from other rappers. Just because he's comical doesn't make him "ass" or a bad artist, he has fun in his music.
Manny Lopez I dont like his music, my opinion
ok
I saw Joey Badass preform this live at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. He absolutely KILLED it. He puts on the best show.
Joey Williams Crowd went crazy didn't it.
hell yeah we did
This song has so much meaning on how you can be a nobody and end up a somebody. How you can feel like you will never reach that point of success in your life until your finally successful. This song is one of my motivations to reach my goals. Joey Bada$$ is so inspiring

I used to be so constipated
At times I thought I'd never make it

But now I'm on my way to greatness
(Come out, come out)
And all that ever took was patience

Hope your where you wanted to be now bro 👊🏿
this track is iconic, it makes me happy and I hope it makes everyone happy, too. THANKS JOEY!
Saw Joey in Toronto with my son and was blown AWAY. This song is brilliant. And yes.... power to the positivity. Peace/Love/Understanding

🥂🍾 cheers to you. will continue clapping for others until it's my turn. Hope to come back here with a success story like yours. To more sucess. 👏
