whenever I try to put my leaves in roblox studio it closes immediately, I did exactly what you did when Importing it but right after I click "yes" it closes edit: it was the amount of planes and images
in the settings there is a number of bevels. Turn that down, have less branches, theres another one i cant quite remember right next to the bevel and turn it to like 1 or 0. Try to do all of those
@@blenderbuilder405 Yeah i guess its that it said like uhmmmm its a lot of triangles are what it is and since i modified it and tried making it more detailed in edit mode crashes blender and when trying to put it in roblox it crashes but i deleted the file cause it could be used for something else badly.

Sorry for the late reply, Roblox has a set limit of 10k triangles max. What i did was watched a video on how to turn triangle counter on, then i made sure to keep my model under 10k.
Also, adding further onto that, the trunk and leaves are separate objects, therefore both of them can theoretically be 10k at max, meaning you can have a total of 20k if you distribute them right.
In the settings, change stuff like bevels and branch number to reduce triangles. There are videos to help you show how many triangles you have in a model
@@ItsFinaleee in the tutorial, to make one leaf primary, you have to press ctrl + a then click make instances real, after doing that you have to delete the previous leaf underneath the tree and select all the leaves whilst double clicking one to make it green and grouping them all together to make 1 primary leaf. How do I make it so that there are less than 10.000 triangles, no matter how many times I decimate geometry my tree always has 38820

uhm so in the process i created a model that when opened or placed immediately crashes the computer or open tabs.

You can export the whole file as an fbx. No need to do two separate exports.

When I grouped the leaves together with ctrl J, it spammed hundreds and thousands of leaves and crashed my PC, why did that happen?

How did you move the branch plane at the bottom to be at the origin without moving all of the other branchs?
If you go into edit mode and move the branch at the bottom, it doesn't move the other branches.

If I'm correct, you're talking about adding the leaves plane in the beginning
To make something primary, you select it last. So if I were to group 2 cubes, the last one I select would be the primary
Primary doesnt work if you box select, it has to be singular select
So make sure if you box select to shift select after
what buttons do you press to make a leaf primary?
just click the leaf after u make it a real instance
the reason i did this is because when you select everything it doesnt select a primary, and without a primary they cant be grouped together

Or make your own by tracing an image and making the leaves an actual model

When a mesh has too many triangles, it doesn’t import
Search TH-cam for a way to see triangles in blender, if it’s over like 10k triangles it won’t work
Try to downgrade the amount of curves, branches, and other factors
Lastly you can breaks up the model into parts if needed

When selecting the leaves, click it until it has a green circle near it. When you group all of them together itll group at that leaf
