You can hear the relief in my voice when the passenger said hi - he was sitting in the shade on the right. This was on Blue Range Road in the Brindabellas. i got it on it's wheels as they had a mate with a trailer to take it away, but that vehicle was a write off.

I drive an old Rodeo 2002 duel cab (for the dogs) tray top with over 330,000k's. She looks her age and klm's worked but still drives like new and will most likely still be on the road long after this years mega ubute utes. No airbags or air cond, old school dash and instruments and the most high tech gadget is the aftermarket C.D. player, single of course. Blue tooth? What's that? And remember when you had to wind your window down or up and unlock the door with a key. No computer junk or immobilizer, simple hot wire if you really want to knock it off. I drive a ute because I need a ute to use for what a ute is meant to be used for. I don't drive a ute because I want to be seen like a look at me get out of my way it's my road and I'm a toad.

Some of these vehicles are not utes. If the tray is separate from the cabin, it's a truck. so, a Ford Ranger is a truck, not a ute. There's a gap between the cabin and the tray in a ford Ranger. If there's no gap, it's a ute.
