I love dramatic stories. Story telling is one of my biggest factors for collecting comics! I also seek unique and unusual covers! Love you John and your channel and your pancakes! Records---> So/So😂
Thank you so much for the comments Greg! You really are awesome and I am so happy to have you as a part of this community! I agree with you! When story telling is done well…really exceptionally well, combined with mind blowing art…the written drama compounded with visually dynamic art that we can read and re-read is for me the true gift of comics. Movies are great…but they aren’t tangible and something I can hold in my hands and revisit at my leisure. So hard to describe, but I know you truly get it. You are awesome Greg!
So good to connect with another 25cent era collector! I still remember my very first comic book, the Amazing Spider-Man 155! Thanks so much for watching my friend! Much appreciated.
Spider-Man is deadly when he doesn't hold back, he's usually a boy who's still in his feelings in every arch or a young man. You're absolutely correct about them taking space lol I have short and long boxes in my closet, under my bed, in my kid's closet, garage and in storage. My budget is 40$ a week at the end of the month is when I splurge online or diving in my LCS in the dollar bins or Bronze Age.
Nice! Yes, I do dollar bin diving myself! Always hoping for a hidden Diamond. I getting pretty close to rotating books out whenever I keep a new book. I’m not out of space entirely, but I’m getting sort of close lol. Thanks again for your comments bro! I really appreciate it!
Yes, GI Joe is now licensed by Image comics now! Every so often I’ll get a few in inventory. I know what you mean…I’ve often regretted not having some of my old comics as well.
But I agree, I'm not a completionist myself. I get books that I like. Sometimes I have to get rid of them. If I get bored and so forth, I can't have thousands of books as I have limited space myself
Yes sir! It seems like you and I have very similar collecting styles! Recently, I’ve been going through my collection in search of books I no longer want to make some room for recently acquired books. I’m constantly considering what I may have lost interest in! Thank you so much for your comments and I think it’s so cool finding other collectors with similar collecting styles.
Excellent advice and tips! Great video John!
Thank you brother! I appreciate it!
Great primer on comic collecting for all collectors alike! Thanks JTCG.
Thanks so much brother, I really appreciate it!

I was always a Marvel guy as a kid. G.I. Joe and The 'Nam were my favorites. Wish I still had them. Is GI Joe still around?

I can only stay in my budget, Ha!!
That’s a smart thing brother! Same with me!

Batman is like Chuck Noris dude
Hahahaah, so true! No matter who he fights, you never want to bet against him!
I always buy what I think looks cool over value.
I completely understand brother. See you shortly 👍
