It's so fun to listen you recap what has happened during 2024! It's really fun to see how we discuss about the same exact things, even if we live on the other sides of the world! :D

We are simply not planting enough trees in the vast important areas of southern africa and zimbabwe/zambia in particular , it all adds up , that hydrological cycle is very clear . this is leading to WEATHER changes and shifting of seasonal patterns, add to that all the illegal mining destroying fragile eco-systems and putting unusual chemicals in the atmosphere , we dont invest enough in the much needed knowledge to avoid surface run-off and actually harvest the water we get as rain , regions 1-3 of ZIMBABWE get so much rain but notice during the coming rainy season how much water will be lost due to run-off. All of this is real science not wapusa-wapusa or "command" this or that , you dont command anything into reality , instead you plan and build around it , so many countries like UAE and Israel who have far worse climatic conditions are investing into water resources and programs to combat el-nino . old ideas wont work , we need serious collective effort and good leadership!!!!!!!!!!!

1:16 @MShine1444 100% Climate change is now real in Southern Africa. We need to change the way we think about rain seasons .Times have changed, and let's learn to harvest water for the next planting seasons. And now we are now caught by surprise by the climate change.Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Such shifts can be natural, due to changes in the sun’s activity or large volcanic eruptions. But since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.
Burning fossil fuels generates greenhouse gas emissions that act like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun’s heat and raising temperatures.
