Yes, the slick is more forward pulling which gives it higher end speed and comfort at speed. It also points higher upwind. The Unit has more grunt and downwind pull. -Tucker
Also a very nice AK board! I think it is very light and strong and now it is also beautiful blue I see. Does it also appear in a review from you? I'm curious what you think about it.

Great video. Been riding a '22 6.5m Slick for 2 seasons--pretty much bagged out. Thinking about big upgrade to DLab Slick (old windsurfer dude). Would 6.0 DLab Slick have same or better performance as original 6.5 Slick? Thanks!
Yes, the new d/lab is a big upgrade in weight, speed, and upwind performance. I do find you can size those down about a half meter if you want to. That new Mod3 canopy will have a longer life as well. Especially with the Aluula frame to support it. -Tucker
They've been great. No glaring issues. I'd say they have proven to last longer than tradiitonal dacron wings in terms of durability and performance loss over time. -Tucker
Hi! I am a beginer and i would like to know what would you choose to buy betwin a unit D lab 2023 and a Unit 2024( not dlab) . Both are the same price. What would you choose?
Great question! I'd say that I'd go for the 2023 personally. It's lighter, stiffer, and the design hasn't changed radically between those years. -Tucker
Hi, in 3:37 you say that the Slick is better in speed and upwind than the Unit? Is that correct? I heard is the other way around, Thanks

hello Tucker! Great video! I love the 2022 d labs. how do you rate the durability and warranty?

@mackiteboarding How did you fix the cam at the end of the middle strut & which cam was used in the dlab footage ?
I use a wrist mount and jam it into the end of the strut before inflation.
@@MACkiteboarding thx. was is a gopro or a insta 360 ?

Does Duotone publish the weights of the dlab and regular unit?
They do not.
any comparison to the ocean rodeo aluula?
It has more lift and grunt so you ride it smaller. I really like the Duotone handles better personally. -Tucker
