One of the most powerfull scene in Hollyoaks ever. It's great because nothing much happen, there is no long dialogues, no breathless action or suspense, but what is here is so powerful, so effective, and so well-acted that it gets me to tears, just to hear the song nowadays.
It is one of the most powerful scenes I´ve seen in television ever. Brandon wants to change but feels this anger because of his horribe dad close by and can´t get rid of him. Ste and Brandon don´t fit as a couple but they care for each other and try to make it work anyway which is very moving. It´s this abuse background that they have in common and share these negative experiences that make them feeling drawn to each other and understand each other in a way. Brandon needs someone that doesn´t give up on him and Ste is still there after so many backlashes and it makes me cry everytime I watch this last scene. Magic moments.

You know what makes Emmett and Kerion such great actors? it's the fact that they follow each other's lead! A lot of the times when they do scenes together, they say there own lines, and not the writers and follow each others lead, their synchronism is what makes them phenomenal actors! That's what gives them that amazing chemistry! I love it! Another award winning performance!

The reason Steven left the bar was because it was just too hard for him to watch Brendan being torn down by his father. Steven has never seen Brendan cowering to anybody. Its just too unnerving to watch. Its too much of a side of him he's just never seen. Even when they were apart, they've always even they might be really mad at each other, found it very hard when one or the other were hurting or in pain. Steven clearly sees the pain Brendan is going through. Its just to much for him to bare.
Yeah but Brenden did not want Ste to leave him alone with his father. Which is why in that clip when Brenden and Cheryl were with that theripist and she was talking about how Brenden ran away from her birthday party that is probley why, he was afraid his father would catch him alone
it's the next step on Stedan relationship... After waiting for a months to them get together, it's really great to show the other side of Brendan and how he's can be more open to Ste about himself now, about his weakness, his past and how can be inferior he is. Ste will more understand about Brendan after this. Love how Ste handle Brendan now. the last scene breaks my heart. Great acting from Emmet and Kieron.

And that my friend, is why Brendan would never leave Steven! Steven loved him at his worst! He was willing to stand by him at his worst moments! Steven has been to hell and back with Brendan! And he loved him unconditionally! Even though he separated from Brendan for a period! His love for Brendan has always been constant! Brendan would never be able to find that level of love from anyone else! Brendan knows Steven would do anything for him! There love is never ending!
Aww... the ending: Brendan finally allowing himself to be vulnerable in front of another person. It goes to show how much he trusts Ste... and how much he has evolved. Powerful stuff right there

In the end, I almost started crying with Brendan. Seeing all that he's gone through the last year and all the stuff that has come out, (no pun intended) he's become this person that he was always afraid of being. I love so much that Ste is standing by his side because if there is anyone in the world right now that Brendan needs, it's Ste. He needs that one person whose never gonna give up on him and turn their backs to him and Ste is just perfect. I love this show. Can't wait until the next one!
And in addition, Kieron and Emmett are knocking it out with their raw performances. I truly cried with Brendan at the end when Ste was hugging him. You can just hear Brendan weeping heavily on Ste's shoulder. A standout performance by both actors that left me feeling every raw emotion. Bravo!
I keep watching this. I need to stop but I really just can't get over how far their relationship has come...how much they have grown together and apart. It's really one of the most developed relationships I have had the pleasure of watching. Everything about it is beautiful. I just want more!

Wow, I'm so interested in this storyline right now that I wish I didn't have a whole day to wait for the next episode, let alone a whole weekend after tomorrow. It's actually pretty amazing seeing Brendan be the vulnerable one, and also seeing the upbringing that shaped him into the man he became helps us understand him as a character a bit better, and also gives new depth to Brendan's relationship with Ste. I am glad Brendan is able to cry, it tells me he is able to feel, and he is cable of emotions! So contrary to popular belief, Brendan is not a monster, and he is cable of love, which he clearly has for Steven. From the moment Brendan feel for Steven, and Ste for him that's been the one constant they've had between them! And this Shame-mus/perv-mus thing too, they would over come! True love makes you want to become a better person! Clearly they both are better people because of that love.
that last scene had me in pieces...Emmett Scanlon is giving one of the best performances to date....the vulnerability and rage so complete and balanced.

yea, i think Ste will have some questions of his own. he was also abuse by his step dad so he can definitely relate but I think the way Brendan is acting, may show it was more severe but must also raise some question as what else.

Cheryl's behavior is upsetting, too, because she regresses as well and acts like a little girl - amazingly emphasised by her clothes and the ribbon in her hair (bravo to the wardrope department!). The acting is sublime. Seamus gives me goosebumps. They chose the right actor not only because of his great skills but also...
Doug and Brendan are at different ends of the spectrum. Ste knows that Doug's parents at least loves him, and that Brendan dad physically abused a child so his love is questionable.
Brendan and Doug are vaaastly different cases. Ste knows (a part) of what Brendan's father did to him and that his insults always relied on calling his son gay/unmaskulin etc. For Brendan to come out would potentially mean harm and giving how completely intimidated he is by his dad Ste doesn't push it. For Doug the situation was differently, not just because he was "just" scared of disappointing his family but also because he was about to marry his best friend in a really stupid plot.

I've never liked the idea of Ste going back to his abuser and the only way I can really appreciate this reunion is if I imagine this all began in Dublin. With that said, I'm loving these scenes.

I just cant wait for the next episode, I just want Brendan to get his father back
I know it wouldn't have been even slightly realistic given what Brendan endured at the hands of Seamus, but I wish he'd just gone around with Ste, kissing him in public etc pretending Seamus wasn't there. I just think Seamus would have had a melt down eventually; Cheryl would have seen a different side to him and kicked him out and Brendan, Ste and Cheryl could have continued what would inevitably have been a hilarious and brilliant little "Brady Brunch" family.
OMG, that was amazing. Everything I could have asked for. Of course it's hard to see Brendan in such pain, but it's a great step forward for the couple. A) Ste didn't demand that he outed himself and actually agreed to to do whatever Brendan needed, including keeping their relationship a secret until Seamus left town, and B) Brendan, in his hardest, most frustrated and vulnerable state, didn't. Hit. Ste. Major breakthrough. And both the show and the actors handled it amazingly.
I honestly didn't shed a tear in this story line until today. Brendan's father makes me sick. Very well done by the show's writers and of course the actors.
I think when Ste was sitting in the bar listening to Semus berate Brendan and Brendan was frozen, (1) Ste had never seen anyone do that to Brendan and it was shocking and (2) Ste got a clear understanding of Semus’ demented and cruel behavior.
Ste stand by Brendan till the end of everything... " I'm not give up on you " is the most powerful love declaration that anyone could say..

I am Just loving Hollyoaks right now, they are shining brighter than a supernova with the right writers,storyline,and of course actors make for some good times (lol)
Brendan made my heart break you can see the pain in him, and Ste helping his man stand strong. I just cant wait for the next episode,
I just want Brendan to get his father back
emmett is such a great actor props to him!
I know it wouldn't have been even slightly realistic given what Brendan endured at the hands of Seamus, but I wish he'd just gone around with Ste, kissing him in public etc pretending Seamus wasn't there. I just think Seamus would have had a melt down eventually; Cheryl would have seen a different side to him and kicked him out and Brendan, Ste and Cheryl could have continued what would inevitably have been a hilarious and brilliant little "Brady Brunch" family.
OMG, that was amazing. Everything I could have asked for. Of course it's hard to see Brendan in such pain, but it's a great step forward for the couple. A) Ste didn't demand that he outed himself and actually agreed to to do whatever Brendan needed, including keeping their relationship a secret until Seamus left town, and B) Brendan, in his hardest, most frustrated and vulnerable state, didn't. Hit. Ste.
Major breakthrough. And both the show and the actors handled it amazingly.
That deserves Oscars... I take a bow..

I honestly didn't shed a tear in this story line until today. Brendan's father makes me sick. Very well done by the show's writers and of course the actors.

The ending was so powerful. Great acting....
I think when Ste was sitting in the bar listening to Semus berate Brendan and Brendan was frozen, (1) Ste had never seen anyone do that to Brendan and it was shocking and (2) Ste got a clear understanding of Semus’ demented and cruel behavior.
This was heartbreaking. I would never have expected this relationship to be so stunning, and difficult, nor the story to have gone this way.
Some really good acting in this episode. Kudos particularly to Emmett.
