In general, anything you have to mix, use it immediately and as quickly as possible. They are separated for a reason. Esp if one bottle is labelled “hardener” lol. And I always wear steel toes when doing anything DIY related. If I dropped a bolt on my toe I’d probably cry! 😂
There should be no measuring. There’s an indention on the bottle you fill the hardner to. Just use a flashlight to make sure you don’t overfill. My hands and legs looked the same lol

Actual amount used was about 2.5 qts. Plus .5 qt wasted because I left it mixed, plus 1 qt useless because the hardener for it ate through my plastic cup and spilled. So, with waste, a full gallon kit. If you do this, after you use the first bottle, I'd recommend saving the empty. You can use it to mix partial batches as needed. Note that these are some big running boards, like 10ft long, so they had a lot of surface to cover. I used 6 qts to do the 8 ft bed on the truck.
I would also add that if you're using the tintable, add the paint and liner and hardener in a separate cup, not the bottle. It will overfill, like it did on me.
That’s not caustic 🙃 (caustic is pH with an alkalinity high enough to be corrosive). that’s just a strong solvent but it really doesn’t take much to dissolve a solo cup, those are basically good for latex paint and that’s about it. Basic nail polish remover acetone will melt write through them. And it’s not an epoxy finish, it’s a urethane. But it is a 2K urethane that does have a “pot life”

You younger guys probably have not met a lot of people missing toes and fingers because they weren’t protected. 😮 Just saying don’t be mad at me I’m trying to save you a visit to the hospital.

I put the sprayer straw into a glass filled with acetone. Then I sprayed it onto my driveway until it ran clear.
