Muzzle Correction at 2:07:30 . Rows 1&2 are correct, then I’ll say rows 4-6. It’s actually rows 3-5. The video is correct, but I say and wrote the wrong row numbers. 🤦♀️ lol. Hope that helps, and thank you so much for catching that and letting me know. 🥰
Really great tutorial! I love that it can be used as a learning experience for absolute beginners. Someone out there needed a video like this! For me, I'm happy that I was able to just fast forward to the next step with the written instructions at the top. I got this as a special request from a friend. It was my first acrylic yarn amigurumi and I am extremely pleased with how it turned out! I sewed the ends of the light string into the base of the back of the antlers. Just a really great video. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind words 🥰 your comment is exactly why I do my tutorials this way.😊 it helps beginners successfully finishing a project they may not of otherwise even tried, and if you don’t need to see everything you can skip right on past. Oh that’s a great idea for attaching the lights. 👍❤️👍

I’ll be adding you to my super thanks friends at the end of my videos 🥰🥰🥰 ( is it sandrine) sometimes I don’t get a full name listed with comments. Again thank you ❤️
I loved making this reindeer with you. Instead of 8 lights I did 12 (3 lights in each of 4 colors), with 12 stiches chained between the lights. I loved having the lights run down the side of his face as well. It turned out super cute. It is going to my mother-in-law, with a restaurant gift card between its front hooves. Your pattern was easy to follow.
Oh that sounds really nice!!! She’s gonna love it . I’ve been using mine as a phone support when I watch a show, lol. I’m so glad you enjoyed making it, and got creative with the lights 🥰
Thank you so much Rhonda, for this detailed crochet-a-long! I just completed the reindeer and it's absolutely adorable. The antlers were a bit tricky for me, but I will still do another one. Love your tutorial, and love the reindeer!
Aww, thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it. The antlers are definitely tricky. But sounds like you got through it, and it’s almost always easier the second time around. Hope you have fun doing your next one too 🥰
Thank you so much for this pattern I have made two so far and I Love ❤ both , also this pattern is super clear and easy to follow so it’s very good for beginners ❤❤ 😊
I have enjoyed watching your tutorial videos. You do explain more in what you are doing most of the other videos they don't really explain anything. But you are the best instructor there is

I love your videos. So easy to follow. I would like to suggest leaving the written instruction for each row up on the screen for the whole row if possible. When multiple rows of sc are done, it would be nice to skip ahead easier. Or a marker in the play line. I have no idea how easy or hard this might be. it would just make it easier for the audience to travel around in the video. Thank you so much for posting them! I'm new at this and absolutely love doing them. Looking forward to future posts
Thanks for the suggestion, I’d love to do it that way, but my editor only lets me do a max of 30 seconds. I have figured out a way for the trickier rows, layering them on top of each other, but it takes me 10-15 minutes a row to make it look seamless, so I can’t really do that for every row. I’m still learning too, so I appreciate hearing your thoughts, and will see what I can do about the repeat rows. ❤️😊❤️
I just finished this project and it turned out so cute! Thank you for such a great tutorial. I’m on my second one..they are adorable. Again, thank you!

How did it work out with plush yarn? I want to make this with plush yarn as well but wasn't sure if it would come out right since the pattern is in #4 yarn.
@@BriKhieu I made the sitting snowman in plush yarn, and it’s almost the same pattern, it should work out in plush too, but you will maybe need to skip the first row of the head so it’s flatter, instead of a point.
Thank you for your wonderful pattern and video. Have just finished my version of your pattern, he’s made from plush/chenille chunky yarn. Would definitely suggest anyone using the chunky yarns take out one of the rounds in the head, does look elongated. But he is super cute, couldn’t resist adding the lights, such a fun touch. Again thank you! 💝
Oh yay! I’m glad your enjoyed making it with me. I love this guy in the plush yarn. And I absolutely agree, omit a repeat head row, especially with blanket yarn if your stitches seem elongated. Mine always are. 🥰

Awww!!! 🥰 you just made me cry happy tears too! 😊 I’m so glad you gave it a try and you are enjoying your success making it. This is the very reason I make my videos this way. Hope you have a great holiday season as well. 👍😊❤️
Making this now and it turning out super great!! Just found out from your video that I’ve been crocheting inside out as a lefty😂 finally found out I need to turn my work to make it like how it’s suppose to be. Love the slower tutorials as a beginner too
Wonderful! I’m glad your enjoying crocheting with me, and so cool you found a new little tip in the process. I’m also happy to hear you can follow along as a lefty. That to me is a talent in itself. ❤️😊❤️
Thank you ever so much for this!!! I love how you go through it so thoroughly, and the written aspect aswell, please DO NOT change the way you are doing this type of pattern, you really are one of my top youtubers to go to for patterns. Sometimes I crochet along with you, other times I scroll through and write the pattern down from your written prompts to my book, and crochet whilst binge watching TV, though I do revert back to crocheting along with you if im unsure of a certain part, therefore I thank you for being so thorough. Please keep up the GREAT WORK, and I for one, can't wait to see a lot more patterns from you to make loads of cute stuff!! ❤ Merry Christmas 🎄 to you and your family from 🏴 South Wales, UK. 💝 🦌 🧶
Awwwwww 🥰 thank you, I kinda needed to hear that today 😊 I’m glad you are enjoying the way I am videoing my tutorials, I struggled for a bit on keeping them this way since it makes every aspect except creating the pattern quite a bit more work. But I know there are fellow crocheters out there that really do appreciate it, and that makes it worth it for me. ❤️ a very merry Christmas to you as well. Lotsa love from Canada 🍁

Awww thanks 🥰 I had dreams of making different characters to match books, but I never get around to it, that sounds like the perfect match!!!! I currently obsessed with how many different animals I can make with a few adjustments so there will be lots more coming ❤️😊❤️
Oh yay! I hope you enjoy it! Just an fyi, for when you buy it. I kept track of my yarn on my last two animals, (basically the same pattern) I made two lions, and one giraffe with one 7 ounce ball of red heart #4 yarn for the main color. Was not much to spare though after the third one. ❤️😊❤️
not sure how to make a request, but I have an autistic niece who loves owls, and I would love to make her one she can carry around with her to help with her anxiety when leaving the house. she just turned 5yo and is drawn to more basic and neutral colors. I would love to use one of your creations being that you're my favorite stuffy creator.
Just finished my first hoof and I’m starting on my second one! I’m using a really fluffy and thick yarn for the reindeer’s body and such- so my arms look really like- long? I’m wondering if I should remove a row or two?
Ya, I would, the arms and legs won’t be as bad long, but definitely take a row or two out of the head if it seems long, and skip row one of the head as well. What I would suggest is leave enough tail for closing the legs and arms, till you are ready to add them to the body, that way you will be able to get a better idea of the proportions. And still adjust them if needed. Good luck !! ❤️😊❤️
Ciao!!
Hmm, I’m not sure. If your using the same weight yarn and hook size as me, it could be that I stuff them really firm. I put more stuffing in the head than seems possible. I know my legs/arms seem small till I stuff them. If that is the issue just don’t stuff them so much that it opens the stitches and you see the stuffing. It’s a really fine line and I usually loose on the decrease areas. Hope that helps. 👍😊❤️
@@swestlund05 your welcome! See if it makes a difference in the next one. Also some yarn of the same weight is just thinner or thicker than others. I’ve actually picked through plain white bernat yarn, and three were nice and thick and soft, and the other 5 or so were thin and shiny. Lol. I’m always gonna be doing that now as I prefer the thicker #4 since I use a larger hook than most.
@rhondadawnbutler Yeah that makes sense as my muzzle is not matching up with my reindeer. The yarn definitely seems thinner then the reindeer yarn I bought.
I've played the muzzle part 3 times and I seem to be missing round 3. I've written it down and it goes from round 2 straight to 4 and 5. Am I reading it wrong
Oh shoot! I just had a look and was like what the heck???? Lol. Good catch, I watched that like 4 times in editing and missed it. It should be rows 3-5 . You didn’t miss a row, so if you follow along you will still get the right outcome. So it’s the two rows around. Then 3 rows of 20 🤦♀️. (I’ve pinned a correction at the top of the comments, thanks for catching that and letting me know ❤️)
It would help if you could list or say what color of yarn your using. I wanted to make the brownish reindeer, but I don't know what color that is. 6/14/2024.
I’ve started putting that in the description. But just for the most recent ones. For the all brown one I used bernat premium natural heather and burlap. For the one with the white muzzle I used bernat premium caramel for the body 😊
If you know single crochet, and how to increase and decrease, this is definitely possibly to do for a beginner. The front loop, backloop on the hooves could seem tricky, but you can skip the front loop row, and just regular crochet for the backloop row. Usually your first one is more of a learning curve, and then you’ll be surprised just how much better your second project is. The biggest thing I’d recommend doing is being careful not to overstuff it. Good luck if you try it! And if you need any help just ask 🥰
Yup, that’s a project, lol. Have a look at the mask part of my Billy ghostface tutorial. If it were me, I’d make the skull/horn part separately to fit over the head? If you make it I’d love to see how it turns out! Good luck 🤞👍😊
When you follow along, you will see that there are only 9 rows of 42 . I’m not sure how you are getting 16. The whole head is only 18 rows. You may have to give me more information as to where you are seeing 16 rows. So I can help you better .😊
@@rhondadawnbutlerprzepraszam bardzo. Ma Pani rację. Moja nieuwaga. Chodzi o ciało a nie głowę. I zmylił mnie ten licznik rzędów. Obejrzałam jeszcze raz i już wszystko rozumiem. No cóż. Mój renifer będzie miał długie, smukłe ciało 😅
Found this really monotonous, it was so unnecessary even for beginner level to go through every stitch as you did it, they were only sc nothing complicated.
Was this comment really necessary? What did it add to the conversation? You are of course entitled to your opinion, but this might be very very helpful for someone just starting out who wants to do something cute and fun but didn’t think they could. Not everyone understands crochet easily, and videos like this can be very helpful for people who are visual learners. If this is too simplistic for you, please move on to something more your skill level (or perhaps post a video showing how you think it should be done) and don’t make content creators regret posting stuff that can actually help others learn some skills. This person didn’t have to share this with us and I appreciate that she did.
@@Heifzillaeveryone is entitled to an opinion and it serves as constructive for any future tutorials especially if the person wants "subscribers" which is the whole point of TH-cam.
It’s unfortunate that you didn’t enjoy the crochet a long, but I do appreciate you taking the time to let me know how you felt about it. I struggled myself with this very same thing when I first started making them. I dread when it’s time to finally start videoing. Sometimes I’ll put it off for days or weeks because of all the time I’m going to have to spend on it. My longer videos take two or three days to video, another day or two to edit, 3-5 hrs to save to the computer and then usually at least 48 hrs to upload to TH-cam. But the amount of people that do enjoy and appreciate crocheting along with me make it worth all the time and effort to keep them this way. And if it’s not for you, the beauty of TH-cam is you can double click to skip ahead, adjust the speed, or use the slide at the bottom to advance past the parts that don’t interest you. You didn’t say if you made it to the end, but I hope you did, because this was one of my favourite ones, and I hope you at least were able to create one too . ❤️

Just made this today! Super cute! I added a tail with white on the underside 😊
Oh that is such a great idea!!! I bet that looks super cute! ❤️😊❤️
I just finished and I am so happy with it! so cute ❤

Could you make a tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog)? I love your videos btw. Thank you!!
Hi Rhonda!
Vielen Dank für diesen süßen "Rudolph"!
Ich werde ich ihn mir auf jeden Fall nachhäkeln!

You are welcome 🥰 I’m glad you like it. Greetings from Canada 🍁
@@rhondadawnbutler You are very welcome, and thank you for your return blessings. I'm genuinely excited to see what you are going to do next, I'm sure that I will be showing you my gratitude many more times for your work. What you do is time consuming, yet you cut no corners, your explanation is very clear and the written prompts are great to scroll through if anyone wants to write it down in advance. You are so kind for getting back to me, and I can't wait to leave future good reviews for you. Xxx
@@leannethomas6704 I don’t know why but 😭 . Your words are really hitting me today. Thank you so much, and hopefully see you in the next one. 🥰
@@rhondadawnbutler awww, hugs 🫂for you, I'm so sorry, I don't mean to make you teary 😟, I just dislike it when I see people doing something so well and for free, and then get bad or zero feedback. You are amazing, extremely helpful and kind, and as you can tell by your comments from others you are very much appreciated for the content you bring us, and it only takes one nasty, or sarcastic person to make someone feel down, and I dislike those people. You obviously take comments to your heart, so if it takes 1 horrible person to upset you, then I like to be the kind of person that helps to heal that, along with all the other amazing people who have commented and also appreciate your hard work. Stay awesome, and you will definitely have me along on this journey of making beautiful/ fun creations from here onwards, and look forward to crocheting along with you. 💝

you teach very well ,I love your video
Thank you ! 🥰
Thank you. This just what I was looking for. I’ve finished the arms and legs, hope the rest turns out as good as yours 😊🤞
It definitely will, the beginning of the hoof is the hardest part. If you got those the rest is easy. 👍😊❤️
@@rhondadawnbutlerHe turned out great! This is the best crochet tutorial I've ever used. Thank you so much for taking the time to do it stitch by stitch. You really made it easy ❤. I tried to post a photo but can't seem to.

Awww thanks 🥰 I had dreams of making different characters to match books, but I never get around to it, that sounds like the perfect match!!!! I currently obsessed with how many different animals I can make with a few adjustments so there will be lots more coming ❤️😊❤️
Please can you show how to do the Christmas lights
The Christmas lights are shown in this video 😊
Soon as i get paid, I'm buying supplies and attempting this. I'm hopeful.😊
Wish you had a moose too
not sure how to make a request, but I have an autistic niece who loves owls, and I would love to make her one she can carry around with her to help with her anxiety when leaving the house. she just turned 5yo and is drawn to more basic and neutral colors. I would love to use one of your creations being that you're my favorite stuffy creator.
You're right @ColinsYarnMagic I do love this channel I hold my hook like this too
Thank you! I’m glad you like it 🥰
Just finished my first hoof and I’m starting on my second one!
@@rhondadawnbutler thank you! I’ll let you know how it goes 😊

What color red did you use for the nose? Please.
It is Bernat premium red
Thank you!
@@ebethb7805 you’re welcome 🥰
Do you think 100g of yarn is enough for this? One 50g ball is 133m long
In #4 yarn? I use 7 ounce balls which are 198g. And I can easily make two. So 100g should make one I would think.
@@rhondadawnbutler Thanks! I used #3 yarn, but it was more than enough😊Great pattern, I made it for a hunter lady and she loves it!
Is there a materials list somewhere? How much yarn do we need to buy?
There is no yardage list, but one #4, 7ounce ball of each color should easily make two from the main color
Thank you!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😊
41:35 Finishing off the Legs
Is there a reason mine never match your size? Yours always seem bigger.
@rhondadawnbutler thank you for the advice I probably don't stuff them as firmly.
Is there anyway possible they can be made into a cow? I have a good friend that loves cows. Thanks
2:03:14 Muzzle
(I’ve pinned a correction at the top of the comments, thanks for catching that and letting me know ❤️)
Yes! They certainly can. That’s my plan for the future. Following just the first short horn, should do it. And no round nose on top 😊
Thanks! I said the wrong row number. It’s rows 3-5. Shoot 🤦♀️
I am a complete newbie would this be possible to do
If you know single crochet, and how to increase and decrease, this is definitely possibly to do for a beginner.
Did you use Bernat Premium Taupe or Taupe Heather?
I used natural heather, but taupe heather is almost the exact same. Possibly the newer version.
Thank you.
@@ebethb7805 your welcome 😊
What row are eyes added
They are added after the head and most of body are made 😊
Where can I find just the pattern?
I only do videos, but the pattern is at the top during the video. 😊
What type of material thread used
For this video I used bernat premium #4 medium weight 7ounce ball, in burlap, heather toupe, caramel, and Aran
You said there is a free written pattern, but I'm not seeing it
Hi, the pattern is written on top during the video as a drop down for every row. 😊
And then there is me thinking I change this into Leshy with a lil color change
Yup, that’s a project, lol. Have a look at the mask part of my Billy ghostface tutorial. If it were me, I’d make the skull/horn part separately to fit over the head? If you make it I’d love to see how it turns out! Good luck 🤞👍😊
@@rhondadawnbutler thank you! Those are awesome tips 🙂🫶🏼

Możesz pomóc bo chyba nie rozumiem. Robiąc głowę jest napisane R8-16 :42 sc. co daje 9 rzędów. A u Ciebie jest 16 rzędów po 42 sc.
@@monamim2883oh ok. The stitch counter is the row number. Not how many rows of 42 there were 👍😊

You are so very welcome, lotsa love from Canada 🇨🇦🥰
There’s a fast forward button ☺️
@@bloomingfear2834 it only goes to 2 and still too slow 🤣🤣🤣
Oh my gosh !! Where have you been all my life ??? I love your step by step crochet , I learn better by watching then to read a pattern…thank you so much !! Your new subscriber 🌹💐
