Great video Bear, I enjoyed a peek into your thinking. Batteries are finicky things on scooters. I try to keep mine on a tender all the time. I also have switched to AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) type batteries on my scooters, while this is not really necessary I have read that using an AGM type and a tender folks are getting 5 or more years from a scooter battery. The added plus with these is that they do not need the electrolyte battery water (Sulfuric acid + distilled water) and they do not leak. So far I am very happy with the performance. I have one on my old '81 Goldwing, my '93 GoldWing and my Kawasaki ZN1300A bobber project. All are working great so far.
You're thinking too much bro. It's running lean, almost certainly. That'd make it hard to start, and cause it to occasionally shoot white smoke out of the intake during startup. It may have an intake leak, as that could cause it run lean, and would cause it to hiccup occasionally while idling. The relay is probably fine, though it's hard for me to tell. If the engine cranks, the relay is probably fine. All the relay does is allow power through. If there is a delay before it cranks, or it doesn't always crank, or it never cranks, than it could be the relay. Clicking sounds mean battery. I'm writing this as I'm watching so some of this may not make sense. It sounds like there could be an issue with a ground somewhere, or within your battery. Eh it's possible that the tuner was being wack because of other electrical problems. Either way I still think it's probably just running slightly lean. Also amen, I like bike. Your Vulcan will be fine brother. And yeah, getting the tuner to reprogram may totally fix the tuning. Ride Safe! But not too safe 😜
Circus bear leaving his blinker on? Never! Another great episode my friend
Easy to say when you have self-cancelling signals! There’s an idiot light by the speedo but they are below my eyesight. 😂

I’ll keep this in mind. Thanks for the info.
