    @ 11:40 Why 4 smaller subnets? Because 2 addresses are reserved; 1 for the network ID and 1 for the Broadcast ID. In case anyone was wondering. :) By the way Sunny, you're videos are always helpful. Your videos are my go-to when I need a quick understanding of my class topics. Thank you!!

      What about when a subnet requires 60,000 ,4000, 32 and 2 hosts? Anyway you can assist me in figuring that out?

    • @KeytarArgonian
      @KeytarArgonian 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@erichclaros9329 you just use more of the network portion as a host portion. So something like a /16 (roughly I’m not working it out) subnet mask would net you 65,000 odd hosts. But obvs you are left with less potential subnets. You are borrowing less host bits than a /24. And you wouldn’t have to subnet down, subnet down per host bit to end up with 32. You’d use whatever prefix is for the 32 host subnet mask but you’d just have thousands of subnets all able to hold 32 hosts.
      I think I have that right anyway 😅
